Hi, I’m Siva here. I’m planning for a Solo trip to Europe from 20th May to 9th June. I’m a bit lost on deciding whether to take 15 day for 2 months or 22 days for 1 month. Below are the countries I’m planning to go. Do i need to reserve the seats for all the trains? And what happens when i don't reserve a seat for non mandatory? Flying in to Rome (20th May)Rome (20th - 22nd May) > Florence (22nd - 23rd May) > Venice (23rd May) > Milan (23rd - 24th May) > Tirano (24th - 25th May) > Chur (25th May) > Zurich (25th - 26th May) > Lucerne (26th - 27th May) > Interlaken (27th - 28th May) > Lauterbrunnen (28th -29th May) > Jungfraujoch (29th May) > Lauterbrunnen (29th -30th May) > Paris (30th May - 2nd June) > London (2nd - 3rd June) > Manchester (3rd June) > London (3rd - 5th June) > Brussels (5th - 7th June) > Amsterdam (7th - 9th June) Flying back home from Amsterdam (9th June)

To receive the 25% discount on the Funicular from Interlaken to Harder Kulm do you need to book using the Eurail app or just show them your Global pass? Also, in taking the 25% discount, does this count as a travel day?
Hello everybody! I'm planning my first interrail trip and I AM SO EXCITED!! The only thing I'm worried about is that for the train I wanted to catch in Genova to Salerno (Amalfi Coast) it says its only available until August 4. So my question is: Does anyone know if there will be a different train (number) available for that route? So far I found the ICN 799, ICN 797 and the ICN 1963. But neither of them is shown August 22.. Any ideas? Thank you :)

I have just seen this on the facebook group for Interrail for the older crowd. I have no other info but …. I got this email over the weekend....think it may be of interest to you guys!Dear Traveller,We get it.You saw the 50 years of Interrail Promo last May and couldn’t resist the whopping 50% discount (who could blame you?).However, we can see in our system that your Pass has expired. And to reward you for taking swift action and to ensure you can still experience the freedom and flexibility of Interrailing, we have extended your Pass for a bit longer (free of charge).Free extension: You have until 10 July to activate your Pass. And you can use it until the last travel day based on the type of Pass you bought.Let us explain: If you activate your Pass on 10 July, the last day you can travel with it is as follows:1-month Pass: 10 August2-month Pass: 10 September3-month Pass: 10 OctoberNeed inspiration? Why not check out our suggested itineraries like Epic Summer in Europe or Last-minute
Planning a train journey from Malaga to Paris for 26th May and am trying to include a night journey so I can arrive in Paris in before noon if possible… But no matter how I slice/dice it, cannot find a suitable night journey component to include. I have a Global Eurail Pass and would not mind using extra travel days or even a detour (Nice-Ville??) if necessary… Can someone experienced on this route share any suggestions? I have downloaded the Renfe app too, by the way... but can't put a night jet route in it. Regards,
Hi all,I’m newbie here trying to buy the Interrail Global Pass for 7 days in a month but having some issues with ages.I’m 24yo so I’m allowed to buy the Youth Global Pass but when I arrive at the step before purchasing it appears that the traveler has to be at least 27yo before leaving for Interrail. Can someone help me please? :)
Can i just reserve a seat like a month or two in advance without activating my eurail pass if yes then how?
I have read on several websites (and the Interrail website) that there is a discount with Interrail/ Eurail on various ferry routes in Switzerland.I am interested in CGN ferries from Lausanne to France. There is no mention on the CGN website of an Interrail discount. Does anyone know if there is?
We will be travelling in Switzerland in August 23 we have 15 day global passes. We plan to take the rail to Jungfraujoch from Interlaken. When booking tickets on www.jungfraujoch.com discounts are offered to Eurail pass holder. However when we try to add the journey to our pass the rail planner says “ pass not valid for this journey”.Does anyone have more informationThanks
I am new to the Community and am very much in need of advice with regard to travel by train to certain cities in Germany and Poland as part of a tour I plan for July 2023. American Express no longer helps with train reservations and schedules so frankly I am rather lost. This is to be a World War Two related tour to Berlin, Munich, Nurnberg, Berchtesgaden, Prague, Krakow, and Warsaw. I already have a Polish guide for travel to certain locations by automobile, and have guides set up for Munich, Nurnberg, and Berchtesgaden, and am working on Berlin. But I truly do not know how to even think about arranging for train travel between these destinations never having really traveled by train much in Europe before. I am hoping that someone can help or knows a travel agent with whom I can work that can put together the itinerary for me. Thank you.
HI!I am trying to book a Nightjet from Basel to Bremen and would like a cabin or two as traveling with 5 people. I am going through Eurail’s easy system, but it only shows me “2nd class — Pass - Berth 6 persons” or 2nd class seats as options. I believe there are different cabin types and wondered if anyone had any advice for me on how to find those and book the right one? Thanks much!
Last year they had the 50 year sale. I am thinking that will not be repeated but will there be any sale.
Can anyone help?Whenecer I am trying to get a seat reservation for the eurostar from london to paris I get an error that m pass is not valid on the date even though it is. Did anyone have the same problem so far? I had another pass that has expired a week ago, but have a new one now. Aktivates that one.
It is stated on the web that the global pass can be used to travel in one’s country of residence during 1 outbound and 1 inbound trip per travel day. I have some questions about the technicality. The “Travel Diary” example lists “Brighton-London St Pan” as an example for the in/outbounds. This is strange in itself, since they are both in the same country, UK/England. In the case someone wants to travel from Station A1 to Station B, via Station A2 in the same country as Station A1, and it is the country of residence → Does he/she have to write A1 - A2 then A2-B separately in the “My Trip” section, or just “A1 - B”? Can the holder exit station A2 in the process and return later to catch the next train to Station B? If the answer is yes, how it would work if the country of residence, like the Netherlands, has electronic gates? Will exiting Station A2 accidentally be counted as doing a trip inside one’s country of residence and thus violating the rules?
This may seem very simple but can someone confirm what is meant by the phrasing:Global Pass7 days within 1 monthDoes this mean literally in one month, like June or July, or is it 30 days from the first date of use? My daughter and I will be traveling from June 28-July 9 and I want to make sure if I buy the global pass that we’d be OK to use it in both June and July. Thanks in advance! Lenna Applebee
I know you need a purchased pass to make a reservation for Eurostar- but can one pass be used to book two seats?I have a pass already. A friend is buying one (paper pass so delay to get delivered). There are still seats now on the Eurostar train we want, so I am wondering if there is any way to buy two seats with my pass, but for different names, using either the Eurail/interrail booking system or b-europe?
Hello, guys! I’m planing on going to Lviv or Kyiv but I can’t seem to find any trains to go there, not even from close countries like Bulgaria. I’m in the Netherlands right now and I know it’s like 2 days to get to Ukraine but I just want to know if there is at least one way to get therethanks!
I want to travel form sevilla to lisbon but the interrail site is not showing any connections.I can also travel from madrid to lisbon but there also no connections.
How i get from Porto to Madrid?
Do I have follow a specific itinerary or can I travel any 7 days within the one month period?
Hello, I plan on the last day of my interrail pass to go from Copenhagen to Paris by train. On DB website it shows the following trip with many short connections. From your experience do you think it will work?My main concern is the first 7' connection in Fredericia. If it doesn’t work the next train will bring me to Hamburg at 14:05 instead of 12:05 and I’m afraid it will be too late to reach Paris, the same day. Do you have any advice if it happens to me as it will be my last of my four days interrail pass? Will DB help me in reaching Paris on the next day?If the first connection in Fredericia works well, I have more flexibility as they're many trains from Hamburg to Mannheim. Then, from Mannheim if I miss the SNCF TGV train at 17:38 I can take DB ICE at 18:38. However, as these are mandatory booking trains do you think I’ll be able to take the DB ICE train instead of the TGV SNCF train? Thanks for all your advices.
Hello. In January I will spend a week in Bern, and I booked a hotel in the outskirts of the city in Schüpfen, unfortunately right outside the city limits so I won't be eligible for the free Bern Ticket for people staying in Bern.Considering very expensive train travel in Switzerland (more than twice as expensive as here in Sweden!) I intend to buy the Switzerland Interrail pass as I will do lots of day trips by train and I also need to get both from Geneva Airport to Bern and back again by train. Does anyone here know if this pass includes free travel on the S-Trains between Schüpfen and Bern?
