Get ready to travel

Hi! I want to book a train from Budapest to Cluj Napoca (on May, the 30th) but it says that you can only get the ticket by paper. Does that mean that I will receive the ticket at my adress? The problem is that I will be already traveling.  Is it possible to buy a ticket right a the train station in Budapest or would it be too late ? How should I do? How do you do to book train ticket that need to be send in paper or printed if you are already traveling ? I mean, it’s the case for almost each night train.  ‘’Thank you for your answers :) 

Hello everyone! have a quick question. I am trying to book the “10 days in 2 months” Global pass, and I am wondering if it covers all trains. My friend and I are booking our first Europe trip. When I clicked to see the benefits of the pass, I saw the following trajectories:Are those the only trains I have access to? Or are those examples of trips I can make across Europe?For example, one of our routes we are trying to do is London -- Brussels -- Amsterdam. Would this pass cover it or we need to get individual tickets.  Thank you!

Hi - I have a seat res Lyon to Nimes. My plans have changed and will now be going to Narbonne. The train I have seat res on actually ends in Narbonne. Will I need to to cancel my original seat res and make a new one to reflect Lyon to Narbonne? Or just stay on the train? Newbie here :)

Hi My friend and I are travling together to Paris from Copenhagen and then one more stop together but then we split, but we would like to make the set reservation for the first half of the trip together, how is this possible? How can we add each other to the seat reseavtion for the first part of the trip but not the whole trip? Thanks -Amanda 

Hey guys,  I’m currently on my Interrail (2month from last years sale) and I’m going from Prague to Alost in Belgium.There’s a transition in Frankfurt Hbf between 2:11 AM - 6:28 AM, does anyone have an idea what to do (ideally where to sleep) in that time? Since I’ve heard it’s forbidden to stay in the train station.I’m probably looking for a train somewhere and back or something like that? Would anyone care to share a helpful advice please? Thank you all very muchMatej

I am using 30.2.0 but have been advised that I should be on 30.3.0 to rectify my problem to get tickets. I cannot see a later version. We leave tomorrow and I am very worried  . Bw John 

What would be the best options for 2 seniors and train travel in Europe. Tain from Paris to Amsterdam on May 13th, Train from Prague to Budapest on May 22, Train from Zakopone Poknd to Warsaw on May 28th. Is a pass really necessary? Or? Thank You

Ik probeer te reserveren voor deze dag route Dax naar Parijs Montparnasse. travel.b-europe geeft geen reismogelijkheden die dag, een dag eerder of later is reserveren wel mogelijk. Iemand een idee waarom het voor 9 augustus (nog) niet mogelijk is?

Hey there, I would like to take Eurail Italy 3 days within 1 month 1st Class passes for me and my wife. My wife's birthday is on April 29th and she will turn 28 on 29 April, 2023.If I buy a  pass starting from 26 April, 2023 will she be eligible for the Youth discount?I am planning to use the pass for travel in Italy on 5, 6 and 15 May, 2023. The website says “If you're 27 or younger on the date you choose to start your trip, you can buy our discounted Youth Pass.”. I am not sure what start of trip means here.Just to make it clear, on the start of validity of the pass (26 April, 2023), she will be 27 years old and on the first day of travel (5 May, 2023), she will be 28 years old. Thanks in advance!

Sorry to ask so many questions but I am not sure what I have done wrong so wondering if the tickets only become visible on the app when it’s the actual day of travel ? Can anyone confirm please as we are supposed to be leaving tomorrow morning 19 April and I am concerned . Regards John 

Hi all,Planning a trip from Finland to Italy and back next summer as a family of two adults and two teenagers with 7 days in a month Interrail global passes (mobile) and having trouble with a couple of things. All comments, suggestions and help would be very appreciated.1) Getting from Stockholm to Hamburg on June 17th. We should arrive at Stockholm Viking Line terminal at 6.30 am and need to get to Hamburg for the next night. SJ is apparently having trouble getting the timetables confirmed because of track works so we don't know if we can assume the trains will be running or not?2) Getting from Zurich to Como on June 19th. We should arrive at Zurich at 10.05 am with Obb nightjet from Hamburg (we have sleepers booked already). Hello, I have a big problem, I had a technical problem to activate my pass. Now since one week I ask Interrail to help me, because my pass now is not valid anymore. I can’t aktivate it or do something. Interrail said they want to help me, but they only sending email like a chat bot. There is no help at all. Now I’m losing my money 400€, and can’t go trevel with my son because he aktivate his pass.   help please! 

Good evening,We bought a 6 days Greek Island Pass. The Greek Islands Pass Guide notes that it is impartant to book ferries in the order of use, the date of the first ferry is the activation date of the pass. We already booked a ferry from Italy tot Greece, but didn't need tot give our Pass number. For booking domestic ferries the pass number is needed. How do I know for sure that the system knows that we already booked a ferry and the pass is activated on the Italy - Greece crossing and not on the first domestic ferry (and we have to pay for the Italy - Greece crossing)? Thanks in advance,Martin

In June, I and a friend are planning on using Eurail Global passes to get from Athens, Greece to Split, Croatia. Looking at the map on the Eurail website, it looks like the trip is going to be 5 stops, but I can’t find any information about train schedules, additional fees, ride lengths, or participating stations and rail companies. Does anyone have more specific information about the trains or is it simply too far in the future? Do we have to just find out while we’re there?Thanks 

I have activated my pass and can’t find a way to deactivate it should that be needed. I have added 6 train routes to my trip and clicked the toggles to yellow which I assume links to the pass  . My first journey is tomorrow so panicking a bit! Clicking on view ticket says no trips connected to pass 😩  can anyone help me please. I activated pass 9 April as my 11 months was up 10 April , regards John 

I am wanting to travel from the UK to Switzerland and Germany. Am I able to use the Eurostar from London to Paris or Brussles with Eurail pass. Is this possible even if I start in the UK/London? ie is a train from the UK included even though I am British and from the UK?

Hi, I am new to Eurail and having a problem with booking some trains through France. We are a group of 6 travelling from Barcelona to Avignon, Avignon to Nice and Nice to Lyon in mid-June. All of the trains we want are ‘seat reservation required’. We are able to add the trains to our cart, but then we get the ‘one of the legs of your journey cannot be booked’ error message each time. I have tried booking for less passengers because I read there may be a 5 person limit for booking, but the same error message still comes up. Can someone please explain why this may be happening and how we can get the booking to work?Thank you in advance!! 

We would like to take a ferry from Savona to Barcelona. Can we find the time table and cabin prices (the ferry takes 17 hours) in the rail planner? 

Hey Community, does somebody know why Interrail isn’t providing a booking platform for train journey in europe? They already have their business partners, so why make it so complicated? I mean there is “thetrainline.com” but even there you actually don’t book your tickets together, when you travel internationally. You always buy seperate tickets together, which has plenty of disadvantages.

First time user. Travelling from Aus to Europe in June. My first train trip will be Paris to Zurich oh June 10. I have logged onto my eurail account and clicked on seat reservations. My pass is first class. It seems to be telling me the seat reservation is over $100 😩. Is that right.   

Im confused. I purchased first class eurail pass and ended up standing for 2hrs and was also told that if i wanted to use the first class area no seat reservation required  i had to pay extra.  Whats the point of first class travel if i cant get into a first class carriage.  

My daughter is currently studying in the UK for 4 years and has a student visa. She has an American Passport. Do purchase an Interrail pass for her or can I purchase a Eurorail pass with the rest of our family?

When booking the tickets for our family trip in Italy, I erroneously entered my stepfather’s information as Ms. and not Mr. Would this be a concern, or is it not a big deal?

Good night!  22/06 I’ll take Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano and arribes at 12:49.  The same day I hacve to arribe to Venice, and I have a FrecciaRossa from Milan to Mestre at 18:45.  Problem is that there will be some railworks and Trenord told me that timetables not will be ok till 11/06.Wich will be the best way to arribe from Tirano to Milano between 13 and 18:30 hours on 22/06? There will be buses from Tirano to Milano or to another station where I can take another train to Milano? This buses will be at Tirano’s station and  how to reserve a place at them or buy tickets thankyou so much to all

I’m trying to decide between buying point to point or Eurorail --- the most expensive part of the trip is the Eurostar from London to Paris. But I can’t see where I can make sure seats are still available using the pass on the specific day I need to travel. Suggestion?? Thanks!
