Get ready to travel

Does someone have information why there is no Liegewagen available for the night train from Zurich to Prague? Usually there is, even for spontaneous booking but now I couldn’t find any in the next couple of weeks. They only offer the more expensive sleeping beds (~200 for reservation only). ThanksHanna

For the train from Lyon to Barcelona on the 26th of April the passholder reservations are unavailable on interrail, but reservations are available on happyrail.com for this journey. On happyrail.com it is not specified as being for interrail passholders. If I book a reservation directly via happyrail, will my pass be valid?

I’ll be travelling to Italy and Austria in a few weeks for a skiing trip. I’m flying in and out of Munich and taking trains to the towns and resorts where I plan to ski. Anyone have any tips for bringing skis with me or how to find the info I need?It sounds like each rail company has it’s own rules, but I’m struggling to find the companies names through the Eurail trip planner so I can research it. I’d like to bring my own skis but if the rules are too restrictive then I can rent at each of my stops instead.

I have been waiting to book the train from Paris, Gare de Lyon to Nimes Centre on 1 May at 14:42.i have been checking on RailEurope for the past few weeks and this train has not appeared.  It is available every Friday until the week before.Does anybody know when this will appear on RailEurope?

 I am planning to travel Budapest to Bratislava and onto Poprad, with a Global 2nd class pass. I am seeing some conflicting information about reservations for this route. Can anyone advise the correct info! From Budapest to Bratislava with Railjet Metropolitan. The app says reservations required but comments here suggest they are not. Bratislava to Poprad. There is an hourly “Express” train on this route. Will this just be a simple 1Euro reservation, not the more expensive IC reservation fee? Also, is it possible to pay an upgrade to first class on Bratislava to Poprad train? How should I do this?Thanks

I want to take an overnight ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki. Then Helsinki to Tallinn. There is an Interrail discount available. Do those journeys count as travel days? The FAQ says:> When traveling on an overnight ferry covered by your Pass, you only have to use 1 travel day:Are either of those ferries covered by the pass? Does travelling on them count as a travel day?

Perché non riesco a trovare quelle dirette tra Copenhagen e Stoccolma, e tra Stoccolma e Oslo? stavo pensando di acquistare il pass da 4 giorni: secondo voi è sufficiente? quanti giorni mi consigliate di trascorrere nelle varie città? Io pensavo circa due per ciascuna. quando mi consigliate di prenotare i posti sui treni?

Hi,Trip planner set to London-Paris then change of station in Paris so I can do Paris-Milan, it shows the commute as good to go as it accepts my pass.I am able to book the first leg via the Eurail booking system (Eurostar) but unable to select Milan as a destination for the second leg of my trip via the TGV trains with SNBC (I can only select destinations in France).What do I have to do?Consider:Type of pass: Global 2nd class (Interrail as in I am from the EU).My pass isn't yet activated but just purchased and added to my account.Departure date: 13th April 2026Thank you all!

We are travelling together but want the hold the trip on both our phones. The faq only addresses having multiple passes on one phone. 

 Hi community. I am trying to work out how to book a wheelchair seat for our daughter who is travelling with us in March.There will be three of us travelling, my wife, myself and our disabled daughter.The main trains I want to book the wheelchair seat on is the Eurostar from London to Bruxelles-Midi and also the TGV from Bruxelles-Midi to Strasbourg. I have no problems booking assistance and have downloaded the Eurail Passenger assistance and mobility services document. It is just the seat reservation for a wheelchair I cannot find an answer to.I have read several question people have posted, but none seem to have the answer, just references to the assistance document.Hoping someone can post a clear answer for me and anyone who is trying to find an answer for this in the future. Thank you for your time.

I have a question regarding OBB’s nightjet. Is it covered by interrail pass?

Hey, I am from Germany and want to travel Stuttgart - Prag - Warsaw - Amsterdam - Antwerpen - Bruxelles - Paris- Stuttgart. But this would mean, that I would travel trough my home country of Germany three times in total. 1. Stuttgart - Prag 2. Warsaw - Amsterdam 3. Paris - Stuttgart. So 1. Would be my outbound journey and 2. my inbound journey. And for 3. I would travel Paris - Strasbourg (with the Interrailpass) and then book a normal train from Strasbourg to Stuttgart.  Would this plan work? Because I am not sure about how the inbound and outbound journeys work, from my understanding I can travel 2 days inside of Germany with the inbound and outbound journey, or am I misunderstanding something. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.

Hi all, I want to go to UK this year. As Eurostar trains are quickly sold out, I would like to make seat reservations now. Unfortunately, my passport will soon expire and I will be issued a new one. For the seat reservations, however, I need to provide my passport number. I only have my old passport number, but not the new one yet. Does anyone have experience with this? Can I change my passport number for the reservation later? Will it be sufficient to enter my current national ID number? Or do I have to wait until I receive my new passport number?

​@Eurail Community Moderator The app downloads continuously the tickets, but this never ends, or ends with an error message (time-out?) and the app starts again the download. A restart of the app doesn’t solve this problem. In my case, the pass was already activated and and I can see the tickets.EDIT: On iOS 26.2.1

We reserved seats on the TGV from Munich to Paris using the Planner app. We were unable to select the seats ourselves; they were automatically assigned. Is it possible to select specific seats yourself?

TLDR - lots of cancellations, aborted trip midway.Just had a nightmare trying to get to my final destination in the Arctic Circle by train.First train within the UK and connecting with Eurostar to Brussels was mostly fine...until we got through the tunnel and were told of an extending delay due to snow on the line (although there seemed to be more snow on my shoes than on the lines were were travelling).The next train from Brussels to Hamburg (night train) via Cologne was more than 2 hours later and would not make the Cologne/Hamburg connection in time...so I chose to stay overnight in Brussels and continue my journey the following day...albeit with having to change all my future plans to run a day later (and use up the only spare travel day I had on my pass). Whilst waiting in Hamburg I got notified that my night train from Stockholm to Narvik was cancelled, so booked for the next night...and decided to spend the night in Stockholm.Left Brussels extra-early to compensate for any furth

My Eurail Pass seat reservation  was cancelled and refunded 6 days ago but I didnt recieve my money yet ? what should I do ? 

Good afternoonMy husband and I have 2nd Class Eurail Global Passes. We will be staying in Cham.We would like to go to Montreux using the scenic (Golden Pass) train or any other suggestions.My understanding is that we take a normal train from Cham to Luzern. But once there I have no idea where to go to reserve seats. I have tried the Eurail App, SBB website and App and even the Golden Pass Express website but nowhere can I seem to reserve seats…I am starting to feel really dumb and stressing that I will not know where to go to reserve seats for all our travel during our holidays. We will be going to Italy, Paris, Amsterdam and Germany as well and if I cant get the first reservation done I have little hope for the rest.Please help :-( PS: I may need step by step instructions at this point 🤣  

Hello there. So, I‘vê been using the app with no big issues for the last weeks and suddenly on My Trip it says “not connected to mobile pass”. I’ve updated the app but nothing changed. Can I just try to “add my pass” again, like the the first time or will this be a problem since I already activated it? Thank you!
