To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more

Guidance appreciated… I bought three passes for family, added a trip to each and added (the same) journeys to them all as we expect to travel together. Not yet activated the passes, but I’ve also done the seat reservations where needed. So far I hope so good, but I expect it may be easier for each of us to have our own pass in case any plans change etc. I know I can’t do that once activated, but can it be done now and the journey data moved with the passes, simply by others getting the app and adding the pass code? It seems like I’d have to delete their passes off my phone first. Wondering if it would be easier just to keep it all on mine
Hi,I want to know if I only use the S-Bahn in a day (have Global Pass on hand), should I need to add this journey into the Rail Planner? If no need, how can I get a QR code for entering/checking?If need, it’s quite a trouble to set the timing for taking S-Bahn. Thanks
Hey guys, I have a question.I want to start in zurich and my final destination is Salzburg. After that I might travel 1-2x in austria from place to place and then I want to go back from Salzburg to Zurich. Is this all possible with the one country pass? or do I have to buy a separate ticket to/from the border? So for example from Zurich to Bregenz and on the way home from Bregenz to Zurich? Thanks for your help!
Hello everyone:) I've done interrail a couple of times by now, always had great experiences, but I always had 1 rule: never travel through France. High-speed-trains there all need expensive reservations while in germany that's not the case (and traveling from Belgium it's thus important to save a lot of money). But having done interrail a couple of times by now I'm thinking about going somewhere else, like France, Spain and Portugal, might be a nice change of scenery. I was looking at the 'rail network guides' in the app and there is stated that TER and Intercity trains are without mandatory reservations in France. So I thought let's give that a chance:)!The problem here is when I look for connections: where are these trains? Turning off high-speed rail in the app gives no results. I don't mind slow travel, sometimes prefer it when I have the time, but I just can't find these trains? Has someone taken the trains in France with Interrail before or do some french people know how to find t

My Eurostar journey is a little more than six months away so I’m cognisant passholder reservations may not have opened. However, when searching for station names on the Belgian Railways’ site, it doesn’t bring up ‘London’. In contrast, it displays ‘Lille’.Is there some problem with the website?
Hello fellow travellers, I hold a Global Pass with Switzerland as country of residence. I want to travel with EC 197 from Winterthur to Munich. I do not have any inbound/outbound trips left. Since my pass is not valid in Switzerland, I will need to buy a separate ticket for the Swiss part. The last stop of the train in Switzerland is St. Gallen, the first stop after Switzerland is Bregenz. The rail planner app shows a stop of EC 197 in St. Margarethen (there is no such stop, so I presume this is either an error or a virtual stop for planning purposes). I can add the journey St. Margareten to Munich without the app showing this as an outbound journey. My question: Is it sufficient to buy a Swiss ticket to St Margarethen or do I have to buy a ticket to Bregenz? Kind regards,Michael
Hello to all travellers, experienced or otherwise. I have 2 questions for you.The first question is this:I have an Interrail Global Complimentary Pass Adult, valid for 1 month continuous on my mobile phone.I have activated my outbound journey London-Paris Nord for travel on Eurostar on 4th April 2023, and I have paid for and printed out a seat reservation.Because of the warnings that Eurostar seats for Interrail travellers are limited and therefore should be reserved as far in advance as possible I took the precaution of activating an inbound journey Brussels-London-Newcastle for 2nd May 2023, and I have paid for and printed out a seat reservation for that too. However, when I go to My Pass and click on Show Ticket only the outbound journey London-Paris Nord is showing under the QR code, and I am puzzled as to why the inbound journey details are not there. Should I be worried? Have I made a mistake somewhere? My second question is related to my first, and it is this:My outbound and inbou

I want to leave my home country Germany from Hamburg to Basel overnight, departing in Hamburg at 20:01, arriving in Basel at 6:20 the next morning with an interruption in Frankfurt for two hours (0:20-2:45). Is this allowed? I‘m holding a Global Pass for 2 month. Thank you for any support.Bernd
Hi all :) I’m confused with the different route results/suggestions coming from searches on Interrail VS The train line VS Happy rail.As an example I find on intterrail the option to go on APR 17 from Geneva 7.15 to Rotterdam 18.10 (4 changes. On thetrainline.com this option does not exist. Neither on happyrail.com. I’ve used these websites a lot and always put a lot of faith in them. Looking forward to hearing how you deal with this, do most people exclusively use the search on interrail?
Hi. I'm thinking of buying a 4 day Swiss pass. There are so many places i want to go from Bern, and I'm thinking of doing 2 or 3 trips per day. But i want to have some flexibility in case, for example, I love the first stop and don't want to do a second trip that same day. Or, perhaps i want to change a trip because of bad weatherSo, finally, the question: can i book tickets on the day of travel and then change them if I want to?Thanks very much Terry
Hi,What is the cost of a cabin for two from Vienna to Berlin? The site seems to say €150 but is that per person or cabin ?If we share a couchette , what are the rules for a husband and wife? Are the couchettes mixed ?
Can change my trip after I have activated my ticket?
CAN I TRAVEL FROM MILAN TO PARIS ON ITALY EURAIL PASS OR DO I NEED GLOBAL EURAIL PASS??
Can I use SNCF BUSSES with the pass?
In short: Eurail is far more expensive than other forms of travel through both France and Spain due to the additional fees. It is also extremely inconsistent. I know of multiple friends, and myself, who have been completely screwed by last minute cancellations in France. It will be the worst part of your trip and the most expensive by far. Organize your own travel through these countries. In detail:Eurail is fine through Germany, Switzerland, and Belgium.I would recommend using it for those countries. In France and Spain (Spain actually being where I live) it absolutely sucks. The additionally fees to travel through France, on the very few trains that are actually available to eurail customers, can nearly double the price of the trip. In addition, to actually be able to use your eurail pass in France, you need to book months in advance due to them limiting spots for eurail customers (presumably to make more money on full price tickets). This is risky to do because when France goes on str
Hi! I want to travel from paris to barcelona and I am not sure whether I should be buying a one country pass or a global pass. One of the scheduled trains tells me that if I have a one country pass I need to buy the ticket separatelywhile the other scheduled time does not have any instruction whatsoeverI am a bit confused because the train travels across countries. I do not need a globa pass I am just taking this train
Good afternoon, Silly question perhaps but I am looking for confirmation or information on:I bought a global pass for 2 persons (me and my wife). I have activated the pass. (so far so good!) When I check the mobile pass information (My Pass) I cannot find any information on my wife’s name, just my name, pass reference and pass type. nor in the details. Is that ok or do I have to add additional information. How?
