Get ready to travel

The trip I am needing says I "Need Reservation" but when I look at the trip details it says N/A! This is being made on the mobile app and the ticket i have us a Eurail Global Pass Question... What do I need to do to make this Reservation? Thank you in advance

Hello!I’m having major issues trying to book seat reservations…We would like to take the 13:02 train from Copenhagen to Berlin June 20th, change of trains in Hamburg. Seat reservations required and I get them to my cart...but then the system says “not enough free reservations for some travellers in your package”. What?? What is this?I also tried finding the same connection via DB and other online booking services to make the booking, but it doesn’t even exist there...only connections with 2+ changes of trains.Any advice on how to be able to book the seats to these 2 particular trains?  

Hello! We purchased Eurail pass for our Spain trip but when I select the cities From and To. It says the following message shown below:Not available from Eurail.comThis seat reservation can’t be booked on our website. Check 'More information' for other ways to book.These are the cities “Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Barcelona”. Tried to reach out to Chatbot, no luck. Robot keeps answering with no connection to my question :-(Any help from the community is appreciated.TIA 

Hi, I have searched many similar questions but I’m afraid still not clear on my situation.I have a 2 month continuous Global pass bought in last year’s sale that must be activated by 9th April.Due to my son being injured, I can not leave him and travel for a while.  I understand activating on the 9th will start the 2month period so valid until 9th June but do I have to take a trip on that day or can I just activate the pass so I do not lose it?If so, please how do I do it? Activate, add a trip but just done go on it?Many thanks for any help.  I have tried contacting customer services with no luck.

I am British. I’ve bought a pass (5 stops in 1 month) and have to state my inbound/outbound journey from the UK. However, I will already be in Europe on a work trip (ticket paid separately). This means when I activate my interrail pass my first trip (outbound) will not be from the UK but France. Does this matter or should I state my first trip I use as an outbound trip? I guess my main concern is ensuring I’m able to get back to the UK on my final (inbound) journey. I hope this makes sense. Any advice appreciated.

We are inter-railing in July as a family of four (two teenagers). We are doing some popular long-ish routes eg Brussels to Munich via Frankfurt, and Salzburg to Budapest. My question is whether the trains tend to be heaving at this time of year and how likely we are to end up standing/ sitting on the floor? If the latter, can trains safely be booked a few days in advance or should we be doing it weeks in advance? 

I would like to buy a global pass but need a caregiver pass also.  I will be leaving for Spain in two days and would like to buy it before I go.

I think I read that at some stations you scan your ticket.   We have paper pass and I don't see a barcode on them.  How does it scan?

Hello, I am having trouble booking a bed for me and my daughter in the nighttrain napoli > milano 14th april although seems available if I can believe other websites… the interrail app lets me go through with the reservation until the very last moment when you want to confirm to pay.

Hello. We’ve just set off as a family of five with mobile passes on my phone. On the first journey, my pass became removed from my phone. Not sure how. I have readers it successfully but it links to “My Trip” default not the Interrail adventure trip I created and duplicated. Any way to reconnect it? I’m getting the message that a pass count be connected to a different trip once travel has started. But it was connected to the other trip when we set off!!  

My ticket/pass  will no longer display on my phone. I have been travelling for 2 weeks in Spain, where it worked perfectly when making seat reservations. Today I entered Portugal and went to the station to purchase a seat reservation but in spite of having entered the journey and being connected to the internet all I get is a message saying “No ticket for this date” which completely wrong. Please help asap as I have to travel tomorrow!!!!

Hello, at 7th April I’m driving from Stockholm (Sweden) to Dortmund (My home in Germany). On the route that the Discover EU App gives me, there is a 1:44h ride with the bus 6001 from Slagelse to Odense (Both in Denmark).Via:Korsoer Nyborg LangeskovCan I take the bus with my 7 days Interrail ticket, that the EU gave me or is there a special bus ticket that I need? Thank you for your help. KInd regards Christian 

I plan to use a travel day from Hallstatt to Innsbruck today. The first leg will be the replacement bus from Hallstatt to Ebensee on 17:01, but I can’t add it to my journey. What do I show to the bus driver to let them know I am using the Eurail pass. The only journey I can add is from Ebensee to Innsbruck. Regards,Danis Li

What happens to my reservation when I miss my train because my previous one being delayed?

Hello,I want to travel from Paris to Germany. As it is a little complicated to book cross-country seat reservations I wanted to ask if you know which concequences it could have if you have no seat reservation between the last stop in France and the first stop in Germany.In fact I want to take the TGV from Paris to Frankfurt (and then continue on in Germany). I would book a reservation to Forbach (France) via travel.b-europe.com and a reservation from Saarbrücken (Germany) via Deutsche Bahn. So I would not have a reservation between Forbach and Saarbrücken (where the journey takes about 10 minutes). Do you know if this might have consequences / additional fees and if so, which?Thnaks for your answers,Simon

I noticed today when creating a daily ticket scan code that the train journeys to be made on that day were not being displayed below the scan code as has happened in the past. Is this a problem when the scan code is being checked at stations or on the train or is it purely the scan code the conductor is interested in?

Nun sitze ich tagelang an meinem Computer und versuche, die Fahrt von Hamburg nach Luleå zu reservieren. Starten wollen wir dort am 13.6.23 mit dem Nachtzug, um abends am Folgetag in Luleå anzukommen. Ich scheiterte mit der Buchung, gewann aber beim Herumsuchen folgende Erkenntnisse:1. Nur die rein schwedischen Verbindungen können über SJ reserviert werden.2. Für mehr als 4 Wochen im Voraus sind Züge teilweise überhaupt noch nicht im System. 3. Einige SJ-Nachtzüge haben6er Schlafabteile (nur 2.Klasse mit Dusche und WC gemeinschaftlich). Andere haben auch3er Schlafabteile (auch für zwei Personen buchbar) und1.Klasse (Dusche und WC im Privatabteil). 4. Die SJ-Nachtzüge starten abends in Hamburg an verschiedenen Tagen zuunterschiedlichen Zeiten:Zur Zeit um 21:19 Uhr (Fr. auch 23:57); Sa. 21:00 (auch 1.Klasse);ab So.

Hello, We bought a two month mobile pass, that must be activated before april 9th 2023. But our first travel day will be April 21th. We have activated the pass with the first trip on april the 21th, but we don’t see tickets (yet?). I guess it is better to deactivate again. Can we activate the pass just before april 9th without adding a trip and add the first trip the moment we actually start our journey on April the 21th? Thanks

I have a problem. I bought the 2-Months unlimited Pass on last year's promotion. hen buying the ticket on May 2022), I selected Germany as my country of residence as I was currently living in Munich for my university studies. However, by the time I start my journey (April 2023), I had already moved back to Turkey. I bought the ticket with a friend; he and I are both Turkish citizens and have Turkish passports. I will start the journey from Turkey and also end it there.So I am hoping I do not get locked out of the German railways because of the "country of residence" issue. I have contacted Interrail support and they informed me that "country of residence" cannot be changed after the purchase date. I would really like to be able to use the German railways for free as they are not cheap and are hard to avoid. They are geographically central in Europe, so I will have to use them. It will be really difficult for me, financially, to complete my journey if I buy a ticket for every train ride

Hi everyone. Does anyone have any experience of going across France by train these last few days, or knowledge of what to expect? Seems like things are quite dicey, but at the same time no formal cancellations? At the moment, my plan is to go from Dieppe on the 5:21 (Thursday 30 March 2023), to Paris and then make it to Zürich eventually that day using TERs.
