Trying to reserve seats on a train from Sheffield to London on April 10th. Interail reservations page says no trains available although National Rail sight says there are several
Is there a phone number for Eurail customer service? I have tried the zen desk approach - received a couple of messages and a promise that they would investigate, but now no further contact.Alternatively is there a way to escalate the complaint?
Anyone knows what “additional supplement required “ means, how much it costs? Is it something that has a stock like seat reservations or am I fine after booking a reservation for 12 euros.
I would like to know what it means that I have 2 in inbound...? Because I don't want to use any day yet from my 4 travel days in my global pass.
Hi everyone, I saw that a lot of people here have questions about the seat reservations to Split. I want to take the train in the beginning of May to Split from Zagreb. As you probably know, seat reservations are required and you’re not able to book them on the Interrail site. I saw it was advised a lot to book a train seat when you’re in Croatia. however, I fear that I won't be able to get a place then, so im looking for other ways to get a seat reservation. I saw on the site of Croatian railways ( https://prodaja.hzpp.hr/en ) that you can book tickets for the train I would like to get. however, I nowhere see an option to enter that I have an interrail pass. I only see discounts for youth/students. Is that the same? Or is it unnecessary to book ahead anyway because there will be enough seats in every instance?thanks in advance :)
As I understand from numerous community posts, the inbound/outbound journeys can basically be any train journey in your home country while the pass is valid (only one inbound and one outbound though). Is that true or does the journey have to begin or end at the border or an airport/port?The reason I’m asking is because the Conditions of Use for Eurail and Interrail Passes states that the journey “can be used” to/from the border or an airport or port. That could be understood either as that is one way to use them or as they “must” be used that way.If I travel from abroad to and airport or port without train station, would it be OK to travel by train from the same city (travelling from the airport/port to the train station in some other way)?
On May 15 my daughter and I will need to take a train from Tuitjenhorn (Netherlands) to Bruges (Belgium), arriving at the main station in Bruges. We would like to leave Tuitjenhorn late morning--early afternoon. Then on May 23 we need to take an early train from Bruges to the Brussels airport, hopefully arriving at approximately 8:00 AM.Would you be able to provide me with some options?
In the Order Overview it’s stated: Placed on 10 May 2022What is the latest date for the activation of the pass ?10 Apr. 2023 or 09 Apr, 2023 or a totally different date? Many Thanks, Uli
Hallo,Ich plane gerade meine Reise und wollte den Nachtzug von Budapest nach Berlin buchen. Leider ist dieser Zug auf keiner Seite buchbar und es steht dort immer "keine Buchung möglich"? Was mache ich falsch?
Hi, We want to travel from Barcelona to Geneva on Thursday 29 June. The suggested route is:10.33 Barcelona to Montpellier Sant Roc arriving at 13:41.13.53 Montpellier Sant Roc to Lyon Part Dieu arriving at 15:51.16.38 Lyon Part Dieu arriving at Geneva at 18:35. I am concerned because the connection time at Montpellier is only 12 minutes. We are a family of six on a five week trip, so will have a reasonable degree of luggage - probably four suitcases. Is the connection time in Montpellier Sant Roc feasible? If we miss the connection in Montpellier Sant Roc at 13:53 because the Barcelona train is late will we be allowed to get on the 14:51 (ie fact they transfer our reservations from the 13:53 to the 14:51)? Would really appreciate any advice re: the above.
Hi We are planning to go from Bergen on 6 April 2023 ( but haven’t yet booked train from Oslo to Bergen! ) to Andalsnes over the Easter period… Both day and night trains only have a 7 minute transfer time at Donbas (to Andalsnes) Is this enough? Is it a big station? … the next train if we miss the connection is 12 hours later 😞. Also , is it a good time (Easter) to travel through Scandinavia or should we change our plans? I’m not sure how long holidays they have but believe everything closes. We have 1st class passes … if I ring up Entur will I get the seat reservations for free or is that only if I book in person at Oslo or another station.
Hi,Very much hoping that someone can help me as I have not yet had a response from Eurail Customer Service…Yesterday (as it was 90 days out) I tried to book seat reservations from Paris to Barcelona for my family of six. The Eurail system kept coming up with an error at the payment stage. Info on the Eurail web site suggested that the reason for the error was because we were trying to book for six people in one transaction. So I split my party in two and booked for three people at a time. Only problem is, even though I did the bookings straight away after one another, the seats ended up in different carriages. This is not ideal as it’s an eight hour journey and we want to sit near our kids. Is there any way that we can change the seats? ie a phone number to call where I can speak to a person In a couple of days time I need to book the seat reservations from Barcelona to Paris. Is there a way to book this so that we can sit all together (or at least in the same carriage)?I have carefull
Hello everyone,My husband and I got the 4-day Global Pass (1st class) - we are trying to book a 2-bed cabin #798 InterCity Notte train (April 24th - Roma Tiburtina to Milano Porta Garibaldi at 23:55), however this option is unavaible on the Eurail Reservation tool, but it is available on ItaliaRail and Trenitalia website.Since we have the mobile pass, we can’t book with ItaliaRail. This is very upsetting because its only giving us the most expensive options, when it clearly has availability on the 2-bed cabin for paper pass holders.I already tried to call Trenitalia, but they can’t help unless I go to the train station - and EuRail customer services is not responding my inquiries. Unfortunately I cannot gamble to wait to book the reservation once we arrive in Italy, we will take this train only two days after arriving and we have a baby with us - so not getting a bed to sleep will be a nightmare. Please check pics to see what shows on ItaliaRail for paper pass holders, and what shows on
Hi, we’re looking to travel from Patras (Greece) to Bari (Italy) at the end of May on an overnight ferry, and we have already purchased a 1st class 5 days in a month. I’ve seen that you could only use the pass to travel in a 4-bed dorm, but I’m also seeing on this website that we should be able to get a discount on all travel on these ferries. Is it possible to get a discount on a 2-bed cabin? Or is there a different route from Greece to Italy that has this option? Thanks
Good day! I am torn between purchasing between the Eurail and Swiss Pass. Our itinerary is as follows for end of May 2023: Day 1-2 - ParisDay 3 - Train from Paris to InterlakenDay 4 - Interlaken (possibly do a boat tour in Lake Brienz)Day 5 - Train from Interlaken/Lauterbrunnen to Lucerne (We have plans to go paragliding this specific morning, so have to go to Stechelberg station for this from Interlaken and then go to Lucerne after. I know there is a cable car ride involved from Stechelberg to Murren which is the take off site.)Day 6 - Lucerne (We were looking into doing a Mt Pilatus trip)Day 7 - Train from Lucerne to Geneva (Possibly looking at doing a stop in Gruyeres)Day 8 - Train from Geneva to RomeDay 9-11 - Rome I was hoping I could do a combo of Eurail and Swiss Pass (3 days each), but the smallest Eurail package seems to be for 4 days. Thank you in advance, Regards,Pat
Hi, I am trying to get my head around reservations on night trains. Want to travel from Berlin to Vienna. If I book the below ticket via the OBB nightjet website, the wording says it's for a flex ticket + reservation, so do I still need to make a separate reservation using my eurail app and pay the reservation fee of 62euros?
Hi, wondering if anyone can help, I am trying to book a seat reservation from Budapest to Ljubljana on the 18th of April at 9am. After following the seat reservation guide posted on here I am still unable to book a seat reservation alone without a ticket being added on. The international pass global price is an option but it appears to only be for domestic trains? Do I have to €17 for the train and the seat reservation? Thanks
I’m traveling from UK to Germany have seat reservation for Eurostar and It will reach Bruxelles at 18.05 and the connecting train is at 18.25 others are fully booked. And I have only 1 day left in my Eurail pass. Is it possible to catch the connecting train, if I miss it can I hop into Thalys without reservation?Suggestions please
What benefits I get in the train and at the source station by booking 1st class tickets in TGV7035 (Paris to Lille), Eurostar 9141 (Lille to Paris) and TGV9210 ( Zurich to Paris)?
Hello! I have a Eurail second class global pass. I originally got a standard class seat reservation from Paris to London in April, but we had to change the date we will be leaving Paris. I went onto the Eurostar app and was able to change the date but since there was no more standard class tickets for the time I wanted, I was able to upgrade my seat to standard premier. My question is, will that be okay since I have a second class Eurail pass? I was able to successfully select the seat and I have the Euro star tickets but I want to make sure everything will be okay. Thank you!
Jus trying to figure out if it’s possible to use a global pass directly from Heathrow to nord station in Paris. Any help is appreciated.
Hello, I am a student right now and I have no time to use my Interrail Global pass. Is it possible to delay my Global Pass eventhough it is has to be activated until the 13 rd of April?
Im visiting family in the UK from America, but I am a UK citizen (duo passport) and I plan to travel to and from London to Amsterdam each weekend for a month. That's 6-8 trips. Do I need a one country or Global pass? Im guessing I'm allowed to take the LNER for free to get to King's Cross, then get on the Eurostar to Amsterdam. Then I can use the trams and metro for free in Amsterdam right? Or am I misunderstanding how it works. When I need to take the Eurostar back to UK, is that allowed on a one country pass? Because when I get back to London, I will need to take a LNER train out of London to my city, will that be an additional cost? This all confuses me a bit, on what pass to purchase and if this plan is feasible. Thanks for your help.Edit: Forgot to add, because of brexit, does UK passport still apply to interrail? And would getting Eurorail pass be even better for this plan? I'm guessing global is best because what if I want to go to another country one time. But that's for anot
Hello! could someone tell me if the pass works to travel from hamburg to vejle/ Danmark ?
I thought I’d cracked reservations, but suddenly can’t get anywhere, so hoping someone can help…trying to reserve Wien to Venice mid-June. The train we want seems not to be reservable for 3 people, though other departures are. Is this possible? from Venice to Milan a few days later, Tren Italia booking system doesn’t seem to recognise our (mobile) pass numbers. The ‘I’ help shows where to find the number on a paper pass, so wondering if that’s the issue?any guidance appreciated!
