Hello! I have a Eurail second class global pass. I originally got a standard class seat reservation from Paris to London in April, but we had to change the date we will be leaving Paris. I went onto the Eurostar app and was able to change the date but since there was no more standard class tickets for the time I wanted, I was able to upgrade my seat to standard premier. My question is, will that be okay since I have a second class Eurail pass? I was able to successfully select the seat and I have the Euro star tickets but I want to make sure everything will be okay. Thank you! 

Travelling as a family in August. Final leg of our trip is Milan to Rome but no trains appearing when I search via the journey planner. Not sure if I’m in the wrong place or if tickets just haven’t been released yet?Any help gratefully received! Many thanks

is there any other way to reserve Paris-Gare de Lyon - Basel by eurail pass except for this site? According to error in this site(being not able to press ‘continue to traveler details’ button), I need to find other site for reservation

Hi,During Easter this year (2023) it is difficult to make reservations as there are railroad constructions. Last date for activation for my pass is the tenth of April, but it seems there are no trains that day to leave for Copenhagen. Can I activate the pass on the 10th, and then leave Sweden for Copenhagen on the 11th? On the 11th there are trains and it is possible to make reservations.Kind regards, Jonas

I am traveling from Istanbul to Bucharest on April 3rd on an overnight train. Does the sleeper only operate to Kalikule ? If I take the train to Sofia, does the sleeper goes to Plovdiv ? 

Hello, we are from Australia  and hoping to book our transit from Rennes to Colmar, France. There is a 50min transfer time in Paris and need to get from Gare Montparnasse to Gare de Lyon, to reconnect out travel onwards. Does anyone know know if this is easily possible in that timeframe? Or should be book a different train? Thankyou 

Just a simple thanks to the community for their advice in their posts. They have helped no end through a difficult challenge today.Regrettably we had to change next weeks plans from a 5 travel day cross-europe jaunt to a quick dash to Monaco and home (flight and hotel already paid for). Our return home will now be Nice - Lille - London - Leeds, needing those dreaded reservations for TGVs and Eurostar. Because of the advice I managed to book 2 TGVs (1 at 10 euro and 1 at 20 euro) and an early afternoon Eurostar through B-Europe (link from posts) with Pass Cover Numbers (from a link  in a post). At several points it looked hopeless with error messages and starting again but we stayed with it thanks to the advice in many posts on regular work rounds.The weirdest was on the b-europe site where it would not accept mouse clicks for selecting entries on drop down lists but would let me select with my touchscreen. That took some time (and a few choice words) to sort.We even managed to get all

Hello,I’m wanting to reserve a seat on the overnight train on 10th April 2023 from Zurich to either Prague or Budapest.  on the Eurail website it says there are no reservations available to Prague on either of the direct overnight trains. I can reserve the overnight train to Budapest however it won’t allow me to purchase as it’s a paper/post ticket and the website says it won’t arrive in time.  I can see on the OBB website that there are tickets available to Budapest, however no reservations available. It also seems the Czech train website is down at the moment. Is there another way I can make a reservation? Stressed about missing out on a seat!!  thank you!

Hi, I purchased the eurail 5 days in 1 month mobile pass. When I check Paris to London 3-Jun tickets. All tickets from 11am onward do not allow me to book through the pass as there is none available. However in rail planner app, I can assign that day as a day of travel and select a train. It creates a ticket. Does that mean its booked through rail planner and pay the reservation fees in the train?

I tried for the first time to make a seat reservation on a Norway train from Fauske to Trondheim through Eurail website and it says the reservation will be sent by post. Is it always the case for all reservations through Eurail? I understand I can make a direct reservation by calling Entur’s customer service, not online on their website, which can be expensive. The other option is to go to a staffed train station in Norway. I am concerned because I will start my trip to Europe next week. Any advise?

How much time do I need to get from Malpensa Aeroporto to Milano Centrale Station? What's the best way to go? We are flying in at 1:50pm--we want to get to Como by the evening. Thanks!

I understand that some ferry companies (e.g. Greek) allow a discount for Interrail / Eurail pass holders. Do  any companies operating ferries to Corsica also offer a discount to Interrail / Eurail pass holders?

Family of five arriving in Brussels (by air) on Apr 8th and eventually heading up to Amsterdam on Apr 12th.  While in Brussels we’d like to do a day-trip to Paris (only if we can use high speed Thalys) on the 10th and possibly Bruges on the 11th. Would it make sense to purchase Eurail for these three days of train travel?Is there a way to price out the Eurail passes with seat reservations for Paris on Thalys before purchasing the Eurail pass?Thanks in advance for the assistance!

This is our route:Athens → Corinth → Patras → ThessalonikiThe only problem is that we can’t find the timetables for the trains during July 2023, does anyone know if this is normal and when we would be able to see this? IC 312 Budapest-Graz was broken up in Szentgotthárd. Everyone who wanted to travel into Austria had not only to change, but also to wait for more than a hour, (instead ÖBB could have set-in a remplacement-train, but deceided it due to costs-reduction). But that’s not all, the regio-train stops much more often was ab Feldbach fully crouwded. So I’ve paid for the day without getting what I’ve paid. And Interrail refuses to give any compensation for, this is horrible. EURail Group shouldn’t handle with people who have paid more for extra comfort, should they? The next train should have been published in the teain-planner: RE 4721 Szentgotthárd-Graz Hbf (dep 13:04, Arrival at Graz: 14:53 has been published without time from Szentgohhárd (that name is weitten with Accent-aigu!). If someone looks at the EUrail-App, he/she thinks to wait untol 15:09 for the next train. Please add the times of the missing-trains of the line Graz-Fehring-Szentgotthárd, thank you.

I don’t know what happened but my birthyear is off by 1 year. I am already in my journey but plan to use my global pass in about 36hours. I am worried I might run into technical issues as I move from one country to another with this specific birth year detail.I have already sent a request from customer support but as I have searched in this community it would seem help is non existent. So many have the same problem and no one really has any good news from support.Is my journey screwed?

Hi,We are a family of four, planning to travel from northern Italy or western Austria to Stockholm at the end of June (with some stops on the way). I tried to book OBB nightjet from Innsbruck to Hamburg but their website indicated possible schedule changes for that time, and also said that schedule changes may appear with a very short notice. They also brought up a new cancellation rule which is way more strict that the usual nightjet rule (I know this because I have booked another nightjet for mid-June from Hamburg to Zurich). Do you have experience on similar situations, or better information on this situation? Does this mean minor changes like 30 minutes, or can it be hours, or really even cancellations of the whole connections? I would be grateful of all the help because the OBB customer service have not replied to my several calls.  

Hi dear travellers,I haven’t bought my pass yet (I’m looking to get the global pass), but I am a bit confused with how difficult it is to book trains and reserve seats and how reliable the trains are. So before I buy the pass I wanted to check:To book the tickets, do I have to search manually for trains on each company’s website and then book through there, or is there an easy hassle free way to book through the interrail app where you can book tickets and reserve seats all in one place? If manually, is this difficult to do? It seems a little overwhelming just from a first glance to coordinate the ticket and seats especially for night trains How reliable are the trains in Germany/Austria/Hungary/Chezch/Slovenia/Poland? Are they often late (i.e. should I always have a back up plan or always make sure connections are very far apart)? If a train is late and I miss the next connection, does it happen that you’re just stuck at the station in the middle of the night? Do I have to book very

Hey,jetzt habe ich eine neue Frage. Ich habe um 10:14 eine Reservierung für die Strecke Neapel-Catania getätigt und um 10:19 eine Mail bekommen, dass die Bezahlung nicht verarbeitet werden konnte. Trotzdem habe ich um 10:20 die E Tickets für die Reservierung erhalten. Ist die jetzt gültig oder nicht?Danke!

Hello, I am trying to make a reservation for an OBB Nightjet Train from Basel SBB to Amsterdam Centraal with my eurail pass. On OBB’s site, the route is available if I click the option to purchase outright, but it is not available when I select a seat reservation only. I cannot find it on partner websites (eurail, b-europe) either… I am frustrated because I purchased the pass with the intention of using it to book some of these night trains. I can select the intercity train that I understand is connected for only a 3euro reservation, but I would prefer a couchette to sleep on my journey. Any guidance on how to work around? I have thought about purchasing the cheaper reservation and upgrading later, but I doubt that couchettes will be available day of. Any suggestions? Hi, I’m a Dutch student who is going to study next semester in Germany. I currently have a Dutch drivers license wich is a valid ID/proof of residence in the Netherlands. However perhaps it is better to transfer my drivers license to a German one. The question is: Would a German drivers license proof my residence in Germany (since it has the municipality who is issuing the license on it) instead of my Dutch ID card so I can get a global pass with as home country Germany?  

Hi,I have a question regarding meals on euro trains. I am travelling from US to Interlaken in April this year  with family. We are then travelling from Interlaken to Paris in eurorail train. I bought first class passes for my children and my husband. My question is if the departing time from Interlaken is at 12:15pm, do we get lunch served on the train? Will that be included in the first class pass or do we pay for it? Either way, I would like to be prepared for the train ride especially with kids. Any advise is greatly appreciated.thank you! 

Hello, I bought it through Global Pass.I need to renew my passport, can I make a reservation for a seat on https://www.eurail.com/ ?If I activate the mobile pass, will the reservation information I purchased be transferred?I want to make a reservation quickly because I think I'm entering my passport number when I activate it, but I can't.I'm worried about whether I can renew my passport first, activate the pass, and reserve seats.

Hi guys, I was organising all my tickets/seat reservations (I am a Eurail Global Pass holder), and noticed I have 3 reservations from DB don't have any barcode/QR code on it. They don’t seem to be the tickets, I only have booking receipts attached to the emails of my booking. In the My Tickets section of the DB Navigator App, there aren’t any where showing any code either apart from the booking reference number. So my question is, how would my tickets be scanned at the train station or on the train by the operators? Thank you :)
