Get ready to travel

Hello all:) I have a question concerning trains in the balkan countries. I plan to travel from France to Greece in the beginning of June, but I cannot find any good train connections, neither on the Interrail site, nor on the national railway sites. I would like to go from(1) France to Austria (that´s easy) (2) and then maybe from Vienna to Beograd, Serbia (even there I did not find connections:( )(3) Then I somehow need to reach my final destination Greece (Thessaloniki for example), maybe via Skopje?Has anyone a suggestion how I could travel from Beograd to Thessaloniki, which is not too complicated?I saw that normally there is the Hellas Express Night train, but it seems not to be working in 2023 (still due to covid…?). Does anybody have informations about that? Or does anybody know which buses I could take in case there is no train connection. I would be very grateful for every advice! :) Thank you very much :)

I’m trying to reserve tgv seats for July 11, but seats are not available for a couple of weeks and I can’t find any available seat for early dates either. What’s problem with tgv lyria? 

Hi,Today the Rail Planner app keeps crashing on my iPhone despite working perfectly fine until today. I am set to travel in two days and the apps doesn’t work!I have tried multiples times to deinstall then reinstall the app and suppressing it. All these attempts remain unsuccessful. I also shut down multiples times my iPhone and also liberated additional space.I suspect this may be related to the last update of the app. I also note that I am already abroad and I am currently using a prepaid travel SIM card but I doubt that this could be the problem since when I put back my current SIM card, the app is not working either.I have only a few seconds when the app opens and then close itself in a few seconds. I can see that my pass is also not in the app anymore.Does anyone ever had this problem and what was the solution?I have already sent an email to technical support but I fear they may not reply in time. I am set to travel (first train ride) Sunday March 12, Spain local time! Thank you,M

Hi all,I had planned to use my interrail for a full week of holidays in London. My plan was to do:11 March (tomorrow): Geneva - Paris (06:29 - 09:26 am), Paris - Brussels. Stay in Brussels the day to visit 12 March (Sunday): Brussels - Lille (07:17 - 07:51), Lille - London (09:31 - 09:51) and then stay in LondonI took seat reservations for all of these connections. Now to the challenge:Geneva to Paris train on 11 March is now cancelled because of the strike. The alternative train I could take is Lausanne to Paris (07:23 - 11:12). However there aren't any seats available to reserve this on the interrail site. Can I just jump in and fight my right to stay but with no reservation to that specific train (different though very close departure point)?   The Paris - Brussels is still ok until now so if I get to Paris with the Lausanne train and run for my life from Gare de Lyon to Gare Nord I should be able to board it. Let’s imagine I do. So now Im in Brussels.   The train Bruxelles to Lille

I’m flying into Amsterdam in May for the Interzum 2023 convention. in Cologne  I was told to catch the train to Cologne from the airport.  I’m staying at the Nikii City Hotel at Lickstrabe72, Leverkusen, NRW 51373 Germany.  Please provide directions.  Making them as clear as possible would be a big help.

In der Trenitalia App wird für die Verbindung "Nicht erhältlich" angezeigt, trotzdem kann ich bei Interrail Reservierungen kaufen, woran liegt das? Die drei Monate Vorlaufsfrist läuft ja, auch bei späteren Verbindungen...

Can I make seat reservation outside eurail.com and travel holding the eurail pass ?Does the reservation need to be made from eurail.com ?Is there a way to choose seats while reserving seats in eurail.com ?Thank you,Bijoy 

Am traveling to Europe and got the Eurorail pass first class for seniors. Do we still need to pay for seat reservations? I thought they were included. 

Hey Interrailers and Eurailers :)I have a reservation for the Intercité de Nuit 3731 Paris - Perpignan for this Sunday (12 March, 9.42pm). It's just the strike is stopping me knowing what trains will actually go!?

Hi there! Someone else trying to get from Paris to Bruxelles at the moment? Will probably need to get to Lille and the take the Flixbus over night to Bruxelles.  Just in case theres someone else - lets Do this together!

Interrail website allows me to book SNCF trains Barcelona - France for this month but not for this summer. However, on SCNF connect website the train can be booked.Will they book it for me if I call? it feels counter-intuitive to call now that everything is online, but if someone has already reserved via phone and it works I will do so. 

Hey, I’m going inter railing for the first time this summer and seat reservations are becoming so confusing. I’m having 2 issues at the moment. I booked a train between Paris and Lyon and when trying to book reservations I can't find the specific train I booked but I need to buy a seat reservation why would this train not exist anymore? secondly I have another train booked between Lyon and nice, I can buy a seat reservation for one part of the journey but not the other and I can't buy it for any of the trains that day. is there still a way I can book this reservation not on the website as it won't let me or will I have to change my route,thanks in advance

How do I book the tickets for ferries, when do I needd to do it(really early?)and is are really all tferries price inluded in the price so I can really travel the island with the pass or do I need to pay more each time I travel.What are your experience please let me know, Thanks

Hi! I reserved seats for a train ride from Barcelona Sants to Lyon Part Dieu for March 31. I booked the seat reservation through eurail, and also received the seat reservation confirmation already. However, upon checking in the app - seems like the journey changed. My original seat reservation was for BARCELONA SANTS to MONTPELLIER SAINT-ROCH, then MONTPELLIER SAINT-ROCH to LYON PART DIEU. The journey now for the exact same time departure time from Barcelona became BARCELONA SANTS To NARBONNE, then NARBONNE to LYON PART DIEU.Has anyone ever experienced something like this? What happens to my paid seat reservation? Will it still be valid for the updated journey?  Appreciate any feedback for anyone who experienced a similar issue. Thank you!  

Hi, I'm in Athens and I'm going to buy a Mobile Global-pass. I do not intend to travel in Greece by train but I am getting the ferry to Italy. As far as I understand it there will be no trains running in Greece for maybe the next month. Will I still be able to use my Mobile Interrail pass for the ferry from Patras without first using it for a Train journey? 

Hey all,I want to go From Amsterdam to Zurich with IC 60403. This train departs Amsterdam 20:28 and arrives at 8:05. Does this trip use only one travel day just like NJ403? Because it isn't a Nightjet in the travel planner. Would love to hear your answers.

I am looking to book the night train from Ljubljana to Zurich. I was able to reserve my 1st class ticket, but I would like to purchase the single sleeper, on May 2nd, 2023. Does anyone have any idea of how I can go about to book this? Does anyone know which railway this is, so that maybe I can book directly with them? I have also read that the train a few months ago was being worked on and that it is now done by bus, is this still true?Thank you in advance for all the help

How can I reserve a train and sleeper berth before I depart for Europe?

Hi! I'm planning to travel from Zurich to Ljubliana at the end of April (and then return to Zurich a week-ish later). I want to get a bed in a shared compartment for this journey. Do these fill up fast? Should I book now, a month in advance, or can I wait until a week or two prior to my departure date?Thanks!

When I search for reservations for 28 December, lots of booking times appear, but for each one, a red exclamation mark appears with the following statement Not available from Eurail.comThis seat reservation can’t be booked on our website. Check 'More information' for other ways to book.I have tried to click - More Information and the solutions it offers, do not work either.Is this related to the current rail strike?Or is there some other issue I am unaware of?I am trying to use my eurail pass from Australia.Getting worried that we will not be able to get there!thank you!
