Get ready to travel

Bonjour, J’ai commandé un pass interrail et je ne comprends pas pourquoi je ne peux pas déjà réserver mes billets de train. Je comptais partir début juillet mais les billets ne sont pas encore réservable. De plus je souhaite faire un trajet Paris-Prague en interail et on nous indique un message d’erreur pour l’un des trains que nous devrions prendre. Cela veut-il dire que ce train ne sera pas possible d’être réservé même plus tard ? Car j’ai mis le même trajet pour une date ou les billet sont déjà censé pouvoir être réservé, mais le même message apparait. Merci.

we cannot book a seat reservation for Spain.  Route Madrid-Valencia, Valencia-Barcelona.  What should we do?

My husband and I will be going to Munich arriving on March 7. This is the first time I have used the pass, and it is on my phone. If I had a paper ticket I think I could figure this out.My question is how do I get the QR code on my phone to show the conductor I have paid for the train  from the airport to downtown Munich HBF? There are many to choose from, and I don’t know which train we will need. I put two of the schedules  in the phone, but until we are there, I don’t know which one we will use. I can see there are next steps to do, IF you know which trip you will use, and then I assume the code will pop up.  When do I show them the proof we have a Eurail pass? I have our passport numbers in the phone app, so I think I have it all in order. I have other reservations for this trip that I could print a ticket, and it had a QR code. That part I am not worried about, it is this very first trip from the Munich airport. 

I’m trying to book a reservation which it says it’s needed, but it’s also saying that it can’t be booked on their website.How can I get a reservation for a TER train?  All I see on the sncf site is a way to “Buy” tickets, but obviously I don’t want to do that.

We got the 5 days train pass, but there are some that are overnight. If a train leaves before 00:00 but has a stopover after 00:00 which we’ll have to switch trains, does that count as two days of travelling or just one? Thank you

Hello,i want to travel from austria to France, Spain and Portugal this year. I am thinking about to buy the first class ticket.  Do I have to make a separate seat reservation for 1st class? When yes, is the price for seat reservations for 1st and 2nd class same?Kind Regards

Just activated my Benelux pass. I want to use it to travel from Amsterdam to Berlin.  Part of the trip is covered by my pass.  If I schedule my trip in the application, will the cost difference on the travel from the Netherlands border to Berlin be shown with an option to pay the difference, or cancel the trip?

I married a Romanian woman two years ago, and we live in Edinburgh. Unlike the English, Scotland voted against Brexit. Now we would like to visit several cities in the EU and are uncertain about the rules. As a Romanian national, my wife is free to travel using Interrail. I am not. It seems I have to use EU rail.My questions are: Can we take the same train together, given that we are a couple resident in the UK.? Or do the rules require we both travel by the non-EU members’ mode of travel, using Eurail? We would appreciate any advice we can get to clarify our situation.I am 67 years old. Hi,I am trying to book a train using Eurail app , from Levanto to Interlaken on 23 June. However, only one train appearing at 17.30. Which takes  24 hours to reach Interlaken ! The kids will be crazy by then .Will there be more trains times released soon as we are eager to  reserve seats?The same journey on 9 June shows up many more trains only taking 5 hours??Thank youKim

I have chosen my pass for travel in Europe starting June 6 2023 ( 10 days in 2 months ). I’m coming from Australia . I am still hesitant to buy the pass because I find all the responses I’m reading contradictory. My first train journey would be Paris to Zürich on June 10. Could someone please walk me through the process including how and when to activists my pass. I would also like to book a seat. I understand I do that on the train companies website and that it differs for each one. Thank you. 

So myself and my  teenage child are heading to Norway in July we fly in to Bodo  and will be travelling via train over a 4 week period in to the middle of August. Norway has an 8 day within one month pass so do i need to count how many days travel for July then how many days travel for August and buy a different pass for both months or does the month just mean 30/31 days. I am so confused

We are planning to buy a 7 day pass within 30 days. The Eurail itinerary from Venice to Milan is more than one day, Can we take local trains from Venice to Milan and then use the Eurail pass from Milan to Nice? 

Hello all, I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. We have 2 first class interrail tickets. We want to get a sleeper from Munich to Zagreb on 16 March. I looked on OBB and it looks as though there is something happening and we can’t get on the sleeper from Munich. OBB’s system said to change at Salzburg very early in the morning. I therefore booked a sleeper from Salzburg to Zagreb.  However, I recently checked on DB and it is coming up with a better option - to change at Augsburg at 11pm-ish. We would be able to get to bed at around 11pm rather than after 2am. See below: Can anyone shed any light on why this happened and offer any advice? Thank you!

My child will be 11 years 11 month when we are planning to start our journey. We are planning to buy 22 days ticket, during our journey she will turn 12 years. Should I book child ticket or youth ticket?  

Hello, my last travel day is the 4.3. and I was planning on taking a night train because I read that it only counts as one day. I sadly can't activate it because it tells me that I need another travel day. Hello! I'm representing a choir from Sweden who will travel to Switzerland and Germany for a tour, and if possible we will do this by train! But, as you probably know, there can be some concerns planning for a larger group.  Regarding Interrail-passes and the app. What can I, (as self-appointed reiseleiter), do to make it easier and what do every individual have to do? Can I book all of my companions seat-reservations through my app/mobile?  Can I add destinations/plan the trip in my app/mobile and share it with my companions?Basically, can I do everything in advanced, so my companions just have to bring their mobile pass and show it for the conductor? … also, we’re 18 adults. I am arriving in Paris on the Eurostar from London and need to change to the St. Lazare station to get to Bayeux.  I have one hour between trains.  I read that the St. Lazare station is difficult to find.  Is that plenty of time and can someone let me know the best way to get from one station to the other please?  It looks like they are close but I am uncertain about train travel and want to be the best prepared I can be.  Thanks.

Hello everyone,For this summer im putting together my travel plan. I have a few things that I can’ t seem to figure out regarding the seat reservations on night trains. (FYI I have a 21-day interrail global pass) If I book a train, a night train, from Rotterdam to Zuerich HB it tells me the seats are included. Does this mean that when I activate this ticket, I will be guaranteed to have a seat on the selected train? And what types of seats are these usually? And if reservation is needed/possible, what do you guys recommend. I also want to go from Beograd Centar (Serbia) to Bar (Montenegro). This, again, is a night train. The Eurail website tells me I can buy Serbian tickets at the station. But wouldn’t It be too late to buy tickets if I need to take this night train the same day I get to that particular station?Lastly I am trying to get day train tickets from Zuerich HB to Rome on the 8th of July, but I can’t seem to find any past the 10th of June. Is there a reason for this?If someone
