Get ready to travel

We Fly in to Norway in July and will be travelling for a month.If i buy the interrail pass does this only cover main routes ? We will be using Bodo to Trondheim. Trondheim to Tonsberg Tonberg to Oslo .We will also need to use local trains to go sight seeing and get to our home stays not sure if local rail journeys are included. We may also do the Norway in a Nutshell tour as well. We are mum and teenager.

Essentially, a few of the routes I was planning don't require seat reservations so is there a way to book my place on the train without paying anything additional?

Hi,  I am travelling this summer and dont know which pass to purchase. I am holder of a Singapore passaport but have lived in the UK for a year and have visa and right to study. Should i purchase Eurail pass or Interrail?  Thank you!

Has anyone bought family passes and children passes not showing in your confirmation? If so, have you exchange the pass following their instructions to buy another pass and then claim for a exchange? Did they refund the fist pass -15 €? When buying the second pass including your child, did the second time did appear in the reservation?

Hiwe would like to travel to Denmark from Freiburg, Germany, to get a ferry there to Norway.It is possible to take the ÖBB Nightjet from Freiburg to Duisburg (starts 00:05) and then from Duisburg on another trains to cross the border as an outbound Traveldays? Someone said, this is not possible for people living in Germany, because the Nightjet is an Austrian train and does not cross the border to Denmark. It only would be possible to take the Night IC (which is actually the same train, but the German part with no cabins) to do this part as an outbound travel. Is this correct?And, in case it is incorrect, where could I buy the tickets for the NJ then, online?Gerne auch Antworten in Deutsch.Viele Grüße aus Freiburg.

Hello Eurail/Interrail Experts,I am travelling with my parents in Italy for a week commuting between Milan - Rome - Pisa - Venice.is there a way to Reserve seats with Eurail pass apart from Eurail reservation service? I am trying to avoid the extra reservation fee by Eurail. Thanks in advance! 😀

Hello,Ok got the 2 months global pass last year and Need to use it before this June ..we are traveling with kids for a first time in Italian Night train to Palermo .. (CABINA COMFORT PROMISCUO)  Could you please share your experience with this .. I hope it is clean as they charge 172 for 4 persons .. 1) Is it a private or shared one ?  Can we lock this in the night ?is it safer as my Italian friends were looking at me strangely when Said train trip to Palermo ..But, I booked the ticket and wanna experience  if you have anything to share that a family needs to take care in particular…thanks for your inputs  

I will be travelling to Switzerland and Italy in May 2023 and bought a 7 day Global Pass. Can I use the pass to travel from Zurich - Interlaken- Lucerne and also in Italy travel from Venice= Florence- Rome

Hi allWe want to travel Athens to Patra April 5th. We have Global pass (2 month 1st class)We know its a train from Athens to Kiato then Bus connection from Kiato to Patras.Both Interrail app and Hellanic train website state seat reservation is compulsory for bus section.We believe as this is a train-related bus transfer, the bus section should be free using our interrail passThere appears to be no Online method of making this seat reservation without paying.Is the ONLY way to make this seat reservation to go in person to the train station in Athens?Thank you  

I have reserved a seat  to travel on the 24th but need to travel on the 25th. Can I change a travel day ?If so how

Buenas,Estoy organizando un viaje con mi novio, en principio queremos coger el pase de 7 dias gastando uno en la ida y otro en la vuelta.El viaje de ida queremos hacer Madrid-Berlin, el problema es que el ultimo tren que deberiamos de coger es a las 23:30 antes de llegar a Berlin.Mi pregunta es la siguiente, si se pasa de día por algún retraso de los anteriores trenes, ¿Nos contaría como otro pase diferente?Espero haber sido clara, sino, podéis preguntar sin problema :)

Hi all,I’m looking for a reservation Paris-Barcelona this July. I read that reservations for TGV can only be made 3 months before. However since the route Paris-Barcelona is available already, I wonder if I could already make reservations.I have no ticket yet to check, but would book it if I’m sure I ould make reservations. Our group of 4 have the eurail global pass. We are trying to reserve seats on LNER for June 2 trip from London to Edinburg. I have not been able to reserve seats via interrail or LNER. It shows seats for purchase on June 2 on LNER but show “not available” when I try to reserve. On the interrail app it keeps directing me to the direct sites (ACP and LNER) is there a place to enter your global pass number for verification? Am I trying to reserve too far in advance? I was able to reserve the Eurostar with the global passes on May 20. And I have activated the global pass for the correct time frame. Help and Thanks!

We have Global Interail Passes (2 Months). We would like to take two trips starting in the UK, going out in different directions and flying back to the UK.  We would therefore have two ‘outbound’ home country travel days and zero ‘homeward bound’ home country travel days.  Is this allowed?  All the text refers to one outward home country day and one inward home country day.

Hello, I want to travel from Venice via Bologna to Milan. Both rides on Frecciarossa which requires seat reservation. What happens if I miss the connecting train because of the first train being delayed ? My best guess is that I should see station staff in Bologna, tell the the situation and will be given a new reservation for the next train, if seats are available. Has someone any experience if this usually works smooth in Italy ? Thx for help !

Hello and good day to you all.  I am looking into purchasing the Eurail 15 days two months first class tickets.  I was told that around Easter time tickets are usually on sale.  Do you know approximately when they go on sale?  If I purchase them now and they go on sale do I get credited the difference?  Please let me know, thank you.

I've ordered 4 Global 2 month Continues Passes in the Flash Sale for 2 adults & 2 children (< 11).Both adult & child passes were added to the shopping basket, but after payment the 2 child passes are not visible in the confirmation email/order in my account.Since this is a technical hick-up of the Interrail website, can you please add the 2 child passes to my order?
