Can I use my interrail free days to travel out from the UK twice and book a Eurostar at 32 Euro reservation fee rather than once out and once back into the UK?

Hello, I have recently purchased two EURAIL global passes for my holiday to Europe in May/June - however, I am having trouble booking seat reservations through EURAIL for Italy and Spain so I am trying to book them through their respective rail websites.I found the train from Barcelona > Marseille on sncf-connect.com, but the two seat reservation is approximately 220 Euros. It is a first-class seat and I have a first-class EURAIL global pass.My question is: am I able to get a discount on my seat reservations with my EURAIL pass if I am booking the trip directly through the train service website?If not, what is the purpose of the pass if I am travelling Spain>France and France>Italy if I cannot book these tickets through EURAIL website, and am instead booking directly with the train service?Thanks so much for any assistance.

Hi I’m trying to plan my itinerary for my upcoming Europe trip this July/August. I originally was planning to go from Berlin > Fussen > Zurich but since I cannot find an easy way to get to Fussen, I was considering just going straight to Switzerland instead. I was hoping I could get the train from Berlin > Zurich via the Nightjet, but was just wondering if this is included in the Eurail pass as I cannot see it on this Eurail Railway map: https://www.eurail.com/en/plan-your-trip/railway-mapAny help would be appreciated. Is the Eurostar, specifically Paris to London, included as part of the global eurail pass? Thanks 

Hi, I’m new to interrailing and have purchased my tickets (myself and daughters) and have made some reservations. However, I want to move the dates on 3 reservations (each to just one day later) but can’t see how to do this and the support is very slow (from what I read here). The reservations I want to change are not until the end of August, so I have a few weeks to work it out. I have not yet activated my ticket, so hope this will help (in that the paper tickets won’t have been dispatched yet, I hope). Does anyone have any advise on how best to make a reservation date change? The travel is for Spain and France.Thanks,Simone

Hello, today I just ordered on the Interrail site a train Frecciarossa 9422 to Firenze and I just remarked that it is one day too early. I already called Trenitalia but they said only Interrail can change it. How can I do that? I don’t want refund, I just want to change it to one day later so I can continue planning the rest of the journey. I don’t understand why it should not be changeable on the same day of purchase and 2 months before the start. This thing is so complicated.Please help me. I can’t plan without knowing. The messaging system via messenger is also a horror.thanks in advance for your help.

Hi everyone. Can anyone who has traveled by night train explain to me how to book online?I want to book for the night train Maribor - Split but I can’t. By the way, the price that is on the interrail website (https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/night-trains/en-lisinski 34€) is very different from the price they give when I try to simulate a reservation on ÖBB website (74€). Thank you

I have purchased a eurail pass (10 trips over two months). I will be  in Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Germany. My trip starts in Spain on May 9, 2023. I have made all hotel bookings so know  exactly on what dates I will be traveling from city to city in Spain and Portugal .My question pertains to required seat reservations for Spain, and Portugal. I am aware that seat reservations cannot be booked online for these countries. It seems that I have to make seat reservations in Spain and Portugal  at either a ticket office or at the station. Do I run any risk of  not being able to make a seat reservation if I arrive in Spain and want to reserve a seat for Madrid 4 days later, as well as all other destinations? For the month of May should I worry or not worry about this?  Thank you kindly for your response.

Good day everyone. I want to ask for some help regarding how to obtain a ticket for those trips that does not require any seat reservations as I know that the Eurail pass is not the ticket itself. How do I go about with this? Your responses are much appreciated.

I am trying to book a train from Amsterdam to Munich on Monday 7th August, but there are very few options currently showing, however there are a lot more options for any day prior to this. Do they release these in week batches and therefore I will have to wait until Monday 20th February for these additional trains to show?

Hi, using the journey planner app I seem to be having a weird problem. I created 2 trips, one for me and the other for my wife. On our first travel day I’ve added 3 journeys to my trip without any problem, albeit one of them, as Thameslink service to St Pancras Intl, doesn’t exist in the timetable so I added it manually (I read that the timetables aren’t always very up-to-date).I added the same journeys to my wife’s pass (exactly the same type of pass). But when I came to activate the journeys (if that’s the right expression for sliding the button against the journey to change it from grey to orange) I noticed there was a funny symbol on the button for the 2nd journey…… and when I tried to activate it I got the following message…I don’t understand the message; when I select “use outbound/inbound journey” I just get a message saying “something went wrong” and to contact customer service if it keeps happening (which it does). I’ve not tried contacting customer service yet but does anyone

I want to book a trip that has two changes of trains but none of them require seat reservations. All my other trips required a reservation so I would go in person to the train station and I would receive a physical ticket with a car and seat number. By adding a journey to my trip and creating the travel day, am I guaranteed to be allowed on that train? Will I get in trouble for possibly sitting in someone else’s seat or does nobody have assigned seats and they are all first come first serve seating? Is showing my ticket pass on my phone enough or do I still need to go to the ticket desk and receive a physical ticket for the train? If the train ends up being filled, am I guaranteed a spot on it since I’ve added it to my Eurail Global Pass via the RailPlanner app?

hello iam new here and iam taking my family for a 2 week trip down in europe from sweden. my question is: my son is 11 years old and he gets 12 the 18 och july. We are going to travel in late may, so can he have a childspass or do we have to get him a youthpass??  thx anders

This is our first Global Pass and wanted to know if it’s best to book with both passes on one device for a trip where reservations are required?Can you then put the trip onto another device as backup or security?Thanks

Hi everyone,I’m trying to book a reservation (for 4 people) on the TGV from Zurich to Dijon on 1st August. I have the SNCF app but I can’t seem to add that I have an interrail pass. And when I search on the Eurail site and app it doesn’t let me book there. Am i missing something? Am I too early maybe? Thanks in advance!

Hi!I have bought a 4-day in a month global pass. I had activated it for today thinking I could take the connection Bonn-Stuttgart-Ulm-Pordenone, Ulm-Pordenone serviced by a NJ. I would depart in the evening and get there in the morning. So I activated the pass and then tried to reserve a seat but I couldn’t. Now any other connection is such that I need to use two travel days and I do not intend to do it because it undermines the whole rationale for why I bought the pass in the first place. I would like to get the pass deactivated and my travel day back or at the very least my travel day back. I tried to contact support via both the bot and the app, but I don’t even get a confirmation mail. What am I supposed to do?

Going to UK for two weeks in June and then visiting other countries like France, Ireland, Belgium and Spain. I wanna know if in UK is it possible to travel for example: London - Cambridge - London or London - Liverpool - London using the Eurail. Like one day trip in the same country. It’s possible to do that with the Eurail Global Pass? I know that there is one BritRail Pass as well, but the trip will continue to other countries, so I don’t know what if it’s worth it.

Hello everyone I am new to this and need some input. I will be visiting Europe November 23rd until January 3rd. Starting in Amsterdam traveling through Germany Italy and France ending in Paris. We will be going everywhere by train. Example we are spending 7 days in Koblenz and from there go to Cologne, Frankfurt, Cochem. Doing the same in Naples,Italy. Do you all suggestI get the 2 month pass unlimited travel? Any input will be appreciated.Thank You Martin
