How early can I reserve seats for Bernina Express? If I have a interrail pass do I only need a reservation or do i need a ticket aswell
I made a seat reservation for the TGV train from Barcelona to Paris using Railplanner. The seat I have been allocated is downstairs but I would prefer to sit upstairs on the train. Is there any way of changing this?
My 20 year old daughter and I will be travelling together. I have bought the passes on the same order but not sure if its best to have both passes on my phone to make bookings and reservations or we have our pass on our own devices, If I book them together on my device, does she also need to have the app on her phone? My understanding is she can have her pass on her phone, I can then add her to make the booking. Can I do this in the app or only on the website?? It’s so confusing!
This might be a silly question, but I can't find the answer in the FAQs and nobody else seems to have even thought to ask.Can I use the Eurail global pass to just travel back and forth between two stations for no reason? Like can I board the train from Berlin to hamburg, get off, then immediately get back on Hamburg to Berlin, multiple times a day?
My husband and I ( 72 year old active seniors) will be traveling to Europe in April-May 2023 and are getting overwhelmed as to what the best pass should be for us. Our itinerary is as follows:Paris- 10 days no train pass needed in the cityParis to Mont St. Michel -- 2 nights Mont St. Michel (Paris) to Bern. I know we will have to get back to Paris for this leg.Bern to Interlaken. We will be spending 3 days in Bern and then 5 days in Interlaken and want to possibly travel to Gimmelwald, Wengen ,Jungfrau, Lauterbrunnen, and Murren. Interlaken to Varenna, Italy- spend 5 days in Varenna Varenna to Bologna - 2 days in Bologna We are then going to a concert in Ferrara Italy and will return to Bologna after the concert. Bologna to Milan - 3 days in Milan Home to USA We are looking into the Eurail Global Pass for seniors and the Swiss Pass. Would like to have the security of reserving ahead and selecting our seats as well. We know there are some limitations to the Eurail Pass in
Do I need to wait for the first train booking to activate the Eurail pass?
Kindly help me with the below question Can I use Eurail pass to travel from Paris to Saint Pierre Des Corps?
Can someone clarify something basic for me please? I can’t figure it out myself and at the moment my pass and plans are messed up enough as it stands.I have a 3 month global pass. My intention is to start traveling on April 1st and finish 3 months later at the end of June or start of July.During that time I will be making several distinct journeys - for example, to see the tulips in April, to see the midnight sun in June, bank holiday weekend in May.Am I able to create several trips - say “Tulips”, “Solstice”, “Weekend”?Or is it just that a trip is the record of all journeys undertaken during the entire 3 months and there can only ever be 1 trip for 1 pass? Thanks,David
I want to travel from Kopenhagen to Oslo in August, but the times are mostly more than 16 hours at that time with a lot of stops. At the other side, when I would travel today, there would be trains that make it in 8 hours. So my question is, will faster trains to Oslo be uploaded later or is the August somehow special ?
Hello. I have been attempting to book a couchette for a night on the Paris to Nice night train in May. It was suggested to me that it was too early to make a reservation but that the booking opportunities for the spring would become available today (Jan. 25). I just tried again and there are still no night trains available for booking. Does anyone know when this will be available? Thanks.
When I try to plan a journey on the Railplanner app from my home station of Lancaster (UK) to the UK border at Harwich International, using one of the two days of “domestic” availability allowed, I am told that a €6 “reservation fee” is payable on the Lancaster to London leg of the journey. As there is not usually any charge for reservations in the UK why is this? And what happens if I just get on the train without one?
Me and my partner bought two Interrail Global Passes back this summer. We started travelling early september 2022. The day before departure a train strike was announced which kept us from making our outbound trip using the Eurostar from Rotterdam to London. We arranged ferry tickets ourselves (not using the Interrail).Since then we’ve been unable to have our Eurostar supplement (the extra you have to pay while booking the Eurostar via Interrail) refunded. In total this amounts to €75,42.We’ve been unable to have it refunded. We used the form on the website asking for a refund but to no avail. There is no phone line to call to or there is no e-mailadres for complaints. I am resorting to this forum to get my money back for a train strike I should be compensated for. My request: Can you please refund €75,42? If you need further detail, please let me know. Regards, Mieke

I’m looking to book a trip with another adult and child. We’d like to see several cities (Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Rome, Athens, etc) but not positive how the passes work. How do we get tickets to travel but able to stay in the cities for a couple nights between traveling?
Hello everybody I had a question a few weeks ago about a refund for the Eurostar due to an technical error. I booked 6 seat reservations instead of 2 for the Eurostar, since the system didn’t let my payment through. I checked what to do on the interrail platform and then it went through 3 times. i had to go back to London anyways, so I took some time if my day and went to the Eurostar information and ask for a refund. That lady wanted to give it to me immediately, but couldn’t since it was booked though interrail. A few days later I got an email from interrail saying they can’t refund anything from Eurostar. but I knew from that lady, that there was hope for a refund. Since money is really tied right now I kept begging that interrail person to somehow give me a refund. He then told me his Seniors had to decide about it. I asked about an update on Friday and they just told me they will decide at the beginning of next week. I messaged them again today, but no answer. Those tickets will
I am traveling through my country of residence more often than once for inbound and once for outbound. Therefore, I need to buy additional ticket for the part of my travels within the country of residence. However, I do not know, what this exactly means.Imagine I am traveling from Berlin to Prague and Czechia is the country of residence. The last stop of an EC I am taking on German side is Bad Schandau, the first stop on the Czech one is Děčín. Can I buy a ticket from Schoena (border) to Prague or do I have to buy one from Bad Schandau to Prague? Any advice (ideally with a reference where to find the info) welcome!
I tried booking seat reservations from Paris to Amsterdam but it isn't working it keeps popping up with Prices unavailable No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable But this has been the same for all trains i have searched. doesn’t matter the country, filters, trains or times none are letting me book any seat reservations.
Always wondered that about the accounting of Interrail. As I understand, Interrail has to pay a discounted price per journey for every journey a customer takes. This makes me wonder, if someone is taking too many journey, can Interrail lose money on them?
Can I use the Global Pass from Paris to Auvers sur Oise? And from Strasbourg to Colmar? And what about the train from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station? Many thanks for your help!
Hi guys! I need an help. I can't buy a night train ticket from Bern to Amsterdam. The site gives error: "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later or find another connection. This connection will be removed from your cart." What to do? Thank you all!
We have global flexi passes. 4 days in 1 month. We will use 2 days to get to our destination and 1 day to get home. These are planned and saved in My Trip and added to My Pass (mobile) but not activated. We would like to use the remaining day for a trip out from our destination. We know the route of the journey but have not chosen the day. FAQ says Can I switch or cancel a travel day?You can cancel your travel day any time before the start of that day (00:00 CET). Go to My Pass, choose the travel day you want to cancel and tap ‘Cancel travel day’.But does not say how to change the travel day.
Danke!
Hi,I’ve been planning a route which includes a train from Venice to Nice however, I’m not sure if it’s possible. I haven’t been able to find great options so far and have figured I’d have to get a train from Venice to Milan first but haven’t been able to figure anything out past that point. I would have a interrail global pass and would be travelling in June, any help would be much appreciated and any additional info needed please let me know.Thank you :)
Hi everyone !! Does someone know if it is compulsory to use our outbound/inbound journey from/to our country of residence or can we use them as a classic travel day to go in another country that isn't our country of residence ?For example, I won the 7 days within 1 month pass and I live in france. So I used an outbound journey to start my trip. I used 5 classic travel days + 1 outbound (at the beginning) but i don't want to go back in France yet. Is it possible for me to use the last travel day not as an inbound journey to France but as a classic travel day to go in another country ? Thank you and have a nice day :))Jules
