I was born in 1995 - which makes me 28 in 2023. Do I still qualify for a youth pass as long as I purchase and use it before my birthday at the end of the year? I.e. if my birthday is on the 11th of December 2023, could I still purchase and use the youth pass for travels starting and ending before the 11th of December? TLDR : Does Eurail consider the year you were born in or the specific date to determine your age?
We're planning an Interrail and we want to visit the cities shown on the map, but we don't know if a 10 travel days in 2 months pass will be ok, or if we need to skip one city. Interrailers, is this pass OK? The thing is, the interrail website recommends the Global Pass (10 travel days within 2 months), but the Rail Planner App seems to tell we need more travel days, as it displays that (+1 day) sign
Hallo miteinander!
We are looking to travel from Lyon down through to Pisa with our two children in July / August this year. We would be looking to go from Lyon, Cassis, Nice, Savona, Genoa, La Spezia, Forte Marmi Sera and end in Pisa, so 7 days of travel. Would the family ticket covering 7 days within 1 month be the right ticket? And would it be right that we would then need to select dates of travel ahead of time and stick to those dates?
Hey, I am planning to travel to Croatia soon bit I can’t find any connections to or from Croatia in the interrail app. I was able to plan a trip through Croatia in Dezember in the app but now when I try to search the trip again the app says there are no trains for that route. Does anyone know why there are no connections for Croatia in the interrail app ?
Hello. I’ve bought a Global Flexi pass (4 days) and prepared a trip only for two days. Then I connected my pass to this trip and activated it on the day of travel. Everything went well. Now I want to continue with my travels, by adding a travel day. The problem I have is that when I create a journey I can't connect it to my mobile pass. Only paper pass option is offered. I do not know where the problem is. The only thing that comes to my mind is that I should have all four days planed before I activated my pass. Hope that is not the case otherwise interrail looses all the beauty and spontaneousness of traveling. Can somebody please help me. I wanna be able to continue my travel. Thanks, Biba.
Hi there,I ask this question in regards to the cancellation and refund policy. I have read that refunds are different for eurail passes when they are promotional, however, I would like to know if a SALE (ie the winter sale) degrades the standard pass to a promotional pass, and then promotional pass refund rules would apply.
Hi all!I am planning my first ever interrail adventure and i’m torn between the 7days within 1 month or 22days pass. I will be travelling for 3 weeks and am planning to stop in around 6 cities (Lyon, Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam and Vienna). Now i am wondering if the global pass is also valid for public transport (busses, metro, tram etc.) within the cities. If so, i’d prefer the 22days pass. Do you guys have any tips and recommendations? Thanks so much! :)
If I buy a 4 day pass can I use all 4 days in uk
When I check out for a global pass, the only option it gives me is mobile -- no way to get a paper pass. How do I get a paper pass? I’m in the USA.
Hi all, simply question (?) that I can’t find the answer to - on a ‘5 day pass in a month’ is it a calendar month or 30 days from the first train. That is, could my first train be on 25 April with the last train on 18 May or would they all have to be in the same calendar month? Thanks,Davide
Hi guys,I would like to check the price of a reservation for the new night train operated by ČD from Prague to Zurich, for traveling from Dresden to Basel.Although it goes under the name RailJet, it is not possible to check the tickets on the website from ÖBB, probably because it is run by ČD. On their website I could at least by the ticket, but not just the reservation. ČD customer support answered me that I can buy reservations only on the counter, which is not an option for me since I do not start in the Czech Republik.Last but not least it is available on the reservation tool from eurail.com, but there I am not able to see the final price without an interrail pass. It shows “Bed in 6-berth sleeper: from €36” (For the EN 40458 on 24 Feb). Since I am currently investigating if the purchase of a pass makes sense for me, it would be necessary to know the correct price for the reservation. Can anyone help me out? Best regards
Have booked Eurostar from London to Paris, but wanting to travel that same morning from Leicester to London. Don't appear to be able to add that journey to my Plan. Is the journey covered?
Hi everyone,Starting in April I will be traveling to the following countries: The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I plan to take the train as much as possible, so it seems like the 3 month Global pass would be the best option for me, but I am not clear about whether or not the pass allows me to travel within a country? For example if I wanted to take a train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam or from Berlin to Munich, can I use the Global Pass to get these tickets for free? Or if I wanted to take the local transit within Berlin (S-Bahn) for example? I will be spending 5 weeks of the trip just in Berlin taking an intensive language course so this is very important for me to understand. Would appreciate clarification on this. Thank you.
Hello I’m planning to travel from Istanbul to Western Europe in early Feb.I understand the only way is to book tickets while in Istanbul. Are there multiple options to travel from Halkali? I see some suggestions to travel to Dimitrovgrad, Plovdiv or Sofia (they seem to be on same line and I see two Dimitrovgrad on interrail map - one west and one east of Sofia).is same from Sofia onwards i.e I have to book while in Bulgaria? Any up to date information would be helpful Regards
On May 11, 2022, I purchased a 1-month Interrail Global Pass for 2 adults and 2 children. My children were born in January 2019 (5 years old) and November 2021 (3 years old). I need tips and advice so I can travel this way. Please help. If I think I can't travel with my kids1. I can travel alone. (so please advice me some groups to travel with them)2. Can I sell the ticket to someone?
Hi everyone, I am taking a train tomorrow from Berlin to Prague. I was just wondering if I need to get to the train station early for an international train? And if so, by how much? Thank you in advance!
Hello I have a question regarding the use of the in and outbound days. My plan is to go from near Munich to Hamburg and then the next day from Hamburg to Kopenhagen (as the travel time from my hometown which is south of Munich to Kopenhagen would be way too long for one day) Is it possible to use in this case both days (in- and outbound) for these two days? thank you for your replies!
I’m trying to book Interrail reservations for trains in France on 1st April, it’s a TGV within France, from Paris to Moutiers. It just says “booking momentarily unavailable” on every single train. Does this mean they’re fully booked or not available to book yet? It’s within three months now so I thought it should work!
Hello I’m about to start using my 3 month continuous interrail pass. My home country is UK.I understand I can only use one inbound and outbound eurostar. Does the outbound eurostar have to be at the beginning (i.e the first train journey) and the inbound the last one ?What happens if I use an inbound eurostar after 3 months - does it mean I cannot use for last 1 month? regards
Dear all, Hoping someone can guide me here pretty please.I looked up in in the app planer and I can make it from Madrid to Milan on the same day in just over 15 hours. In Madrid I was able to book a HSpeed train to Barcelona at 7am. Renfe won't sell me any of the other trains after Barcelona. I found in the app that I need to call a number to book Barcelona- Valence. I haven't done it yet but I am hoping this is a straight forward step. The train shows in the Eurail website as well as in the app.The next train, Valence-Chambery Challes requires no reservations and also shows in both app and website. Now, the HSpeed and last train and as shown on the app, the Chambery-Milano P.Garibaldi requires reservations. The app says I can book on the Eurail website. I am looking on the website and this train is not showing. This is for January 10th departing 17:44 arriving in Milano at 21:49 (4 hours and much better than a regular train that takes more than twice as long). Can someone help me? Does t
Hello Eurail Community, I am wondering, if i have Eurail 4 days in a month flex pass, say that:Purchase date --- 5 jan 2023Activation date --- 15 mar 2023First travel date --- 16 mar 2023Second travel date --- 19 mar 2023 (some trains and including NIGHTJET)Third travel date --- 21 mar 2023Fourth travel date --- 25 mar 2023 (some trains and including NIGHTJET)Last vailidity date ---- ? my questions are:Are the arrangements above valid? Since I want to hop on a nightjet train on my last travel day, is this actually permitted? Because my pass is still valid until 14 apr 2023? Or If i want to do this I need to take the 5 days in a month flex pass (my pass will expire after 25 mar 2023 at 23.59 CET)? Please kindly help to clarify. Thank you,Teguh
Hi :) For everyone comes the time to plan a Railjourney Eurail offer their own App the “Railplanner” but i have to admit that i use the App just for recording the Journey´s of my “Mobile Pass” (DigitalPass). As the App of Eurail gets no live updates like the local websites / apps.I and several other Community members suggest different Apps :) Often bahn.com (Website of German Rail) with their app “DB Navigator” or oebb.at (Website of Austrian Railway) with their App called “Scotty”.My advice is to use always when possible the Website of Railcompany / Country or their App where you are / that you gonna catch :) the Websites & Apps above are good for International Railplaning as these cover quite a lot European Routes. Some of them show even the Railcompany that operates the train so that you can check if these are covered y the pass or not. There are other Apps like Muj Vlak of Ceske Drahy (this App works even offline when you download within the app the different timetable backages
