I am planning a few days travel around Spain in Jan/Feb and looking at routes and reservations. I have seen plenty of information about how to book reservation etc, but am struggling to find which trains do NOT need reservations! This is even trickier as I know the planner timetable is not fully accurate for Spain! Can anyone advise which trains / routes in Spain can be taken without making any reservation? I am particularly interesting in the South, but be good to see all options!
Hi : I have an available Switzerland pass but if I try to book a ticket from Paris to Basel there is a message of error : “not available for some travellers”. Does it mean that my pass is not valid on Lyria tgv ? thank you in advance to everybody for your help
Buenos días, pido me ayuden para saber en que estación o Gare puedo comprar pase Eurail Global en Paris.Saludos
I’ll be flying into Rome from Australia (my residence) and travelling through Italy with my last day in Bolzzano. I will be buying a multi day Italy Pass.. From Bolzanno I will be cathing a train to Munich before flying onwards. (I maybe stopping in Innsbruck for lunch on the way to Germany) It wll be a day time trip...Question 1 - Will this last day where I exit from Italy to Germany be covered all the way to Munich or does the pass end at the border? Quetsion 2 - Does the Italy pass allow access to DB or OBB etc even if it is just to the border?
I have done quite a bit of homework on this already, including speaking with both US travel experts and friends who live in the UK. It seems pre-pandemic, the BritRail Pass was the best option for unlimited train travel throughout England, Scotland and Wales AND the Eurail Pass did not include the UK. However, now the Eurail GLOBAL Pass appears to include the UK. It is also hundreds of dollars less expensive than the BritRail Pass for the 15 or 22 days we are considering purchasing. Our main objective for this trip is to visit as many universities as possible for our daughter to make decisions about where she plans to apply next year. We know for sure we will be visiting several schools in London and other parts of England; Edinburgh and Dundee, possibly Aberdeen and Glasgow, Scotland; and for sure Dublin, Ireland. Our return trip has a layover in Frankfurt, so I’m thinking the Eurail Global Pass is ideal for us since it includes all those places. My questions are:Is there any reason
I have lost my blue Kathmandu backpack on the 12:10pm train from Geneva to Brig today on the 14th of December. It has my important belongings and I’d love to know where I may be able to find it.
Hi,There is this map https://www.eurail.com/en/plan-your-trip/railway-map that shows a train network for the Eurail and there is also a post in the forum with a long list of train networks that you can travel on .My question is - if I’m in Amsterdam and want to go to Copenhagen - I looked at the Eurail map and I would have to go Amsterdam → Berlin → Hamburg → Copenhagen which seems like you go backwards a bit from Berlin → Hamburg. Is there a better option (can I go Amsterdam → Hamburg → Copenhagen)? I have the two month unlimited pass - can I use any of the networks that were posted in above reservation post? Thanks.
Hi. With a global pass, is it possible on your outward travel to do this over a few days (i.e travel to London from home location and have a couple of days there before heading over to Paris on Eurostar from St.Pancras etc.) or does the travel out need to be done in one hit over a 24 hour period?. Can anyone help. Thanks
Hi, hopefully someone can help, next June myself and a friend (from America) are travelling Europe by train. We are looking at getting passes although I know we will need different ones. I’m not sure what train lines and routes we can use back in the uk though. After travelling from London-France-Italy-Austria-Germany-Holland then overnight ferry back to Newcastle, if the train route from Newcastle-Glasgow- west coast scenic route then back to Edinburgh then down to Peterborough isn’t included in the passes that we are going to purchase, we will buy 15 day passes instead of 22 day ones and buy the uk part separately.I’ve looked on website and can’t work it out. The 3rd party company APC that arranges the uk part seems to have rubbish reviews on trust pilot so I want advice before booking. Thanks in advance for any advice.
When trying to get to the overview of prices for buying a UK One Country pass, the box/iframe is not loading. Wondering if anyone lese has the same issue. I tried with different browsers (Edge and Vivaldi) on Windows and via Android on my phone to no avail. All I get is this: https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/one-country-pass/great-britainAll other countries I checked, show me prices and ticket options straight away.
Hello,I just started researching a trip to Paris/London/Edinburgh that I’ll be taking at the end of July and I saw that there is a 10% discount that expires tomorrow for the pass the Eurail website recommended - 4 day global. I’ve seen in multiple places that doing individual bookings is cheaper than a pass, but I’m not finding that to be true. The passes would be about 450 euros for myself and my husband with 120 euros in reservation fees total for the three trips we want to take (Paris-London, London-Edinburgh, Edinburgh- Paris). Using RailEurope, it looks like the trips are roughly 195, 230, and 250 and I don’t know whether that includes the reservation fees. With the discount expiring tomorrow, I was hoping to get someone to check my work. Any insights?
Hi I’m trying to escape the London heat to Paris and beyond!Specifically I’m trying to book a seat reservation on b-europe and finding almost none, while on Eurostars site they show plenty of availability for new ticketsThe call center is refusing calls and offering a 28 day response period to email inquiriesI stay somewhat outside of London and can’t easily get to the station to ask in personany help greatly appreciated!
Hi, I am trying to book seat reservations for the Eurostar on Monday 12th December. Paris to London. It keeps saying trains are not available for that date. I can book up to Saturday the 10th but not Monday the 12th. I Have been trying for two weeks now. Looking for help
Hi all - looks like there are no seat reservations available from London to Paris on December 16th. We can go any time on December 16th, or any time after 5pm on December 15th. We have 2 Eurail global passes and have managed to reserve all other trains. Are there any alternative routes? I’m looking for other options than the $260 ticket from Eurostar :(
Hi, I did not know about how to book reservations and I just added Paris to London train for 26th December to my pass. But now it is showing that reservation not available and its unavailable for 24th, 25th and 26th December for any time. Is it because the Eurostar train is sold out or is it that the train is not operated on these dates. are there any alternatives for me? Plese help. Also when I added the train to my pass it gave me a QR code. Will I be able to get any help at the station itself with that QR? or maybe board the train without reservation and just the QR code.
HiI've just payed my 15d/2m pass BUT in my account i see the ended day 11 of January!? What's happened? Thank You all in anticipation
I’m trying to use my Global 1 month Eurail pass to book a train on Trainline.com but dont see how to add my pass? The train isnt showing available on Eurail.com but is available on Trainline.com. Travelling from Paris to Milan. Thx
My wife and I live in the U.S., are 66 years old, and our dream is to visit several European countries by rail in May 2023. I have been operating under the assumption that we could buy the correct Eurail passes, and make the necessary Reservations all through the Eurail website or app and we would experience minimal frustrations during our trip. However, after reviewing posts by this Community, I am learning it’s not that simple. Many countries and rail systems appear to have their peculiarities and requirements. I fear that instead of this trip being a wonderful adventure, it may be a frustrating nightmare! Honestly, for the inexperienced rail traveler, is my assessment more or less correct? What advice can you offer that may alleviate my concerns, and help make this a positively memorable trip?
Hello, I was looking into buying tickets for me and my family (we are all Brazilians). We are planning on going to France, The Netherlands, Italy and Switzerland. The thing is I still don’t know which type of pass my boyfriend would need. He was born in brazil and has always lived in Brazil. However, he has a dual citizenship and his only valid passport is the Portuguese one. Would he be eligible to buy a Eurail? What are the acceptable documents to prove your country of residency?

Hi, I have been travelling with 4 day pass, since my travel time was very limited. After I had used 3 days of my travel, my phone broke.I had to replace the old phone with new one to be able to continue my travel, and I try to logg in to the app. I discovered that there was no way to logg in to the app from my new device. I didnt know how to contact IR at that time, and there was no informaton in Terms and Conditions that you can only use your pass from the same device. I think this system is rather complicated, if I could not fix it myself. I think in this keys I should get some refund or be able to use my last ticket at other time. My ticket expires 17th of December but in this time I cant use it becouse I am working now.
Hi I have a first class global pass. I’m travelling from Vienna to Prague. When I make my booking via the app it doesn’t require a seat reservation. Does this mean we can just take any seat in the first class carriage?
Hi! I’m traveling alone to Italy the 18th of December. My plan is to stay in Rome until 21th of December, and take the train to Catania. I have no idea what is going on right now but finding flight tickets from Oslo to/from Italy has been nearly impossible. I was unable to find flights directly to Sicily so I decided I could fly to Rome and experience that city too. And since I want to experience the train ferry I can take the train to Catania. But Jesus Christ, I’ve been trying for days to find a direct train to Catania from Rome but the tickets are hella expensive and there are so few left. Plus, there are no flights from Sicily to Oslo for my return, so I have to take the train back to Rome and fly from there on 5th of January. So since the traintickets on trenitalia are up to 94 euros one way, I was thinking I might try interrail pass instead. The price given to me for a pass is 124 euros for 4 days travel. My questions are: I’ve never used interrail before, and the reviews for eur
