Get ready to travel

Hi All,I’ve been wanting to reserve a seat on the overnight train between Prague and Budapest on the 6th of Jan. On the cd.cz website, all trains are available to purchase/reserve except the overnight train departing at 10.43. This train also doesn’t seem to be showing up on any other websites e.g. raileurope.  I was just wondering if anyone knew how to reserve this train or why I am unable to yet?   

I know there is a direct euro city connection but neither the interrail website nor the app will show it.  I know I need a reservation for part of the journey but first I need the journey to exist ;-/ Also why do DB not allow first class pass holder in their lounges :-(

According to Bulgarian train website currently the schedule is set till 10.12. We are planning to take the train on the 23 at night and now are wondering if trains are still going in winter? Any one know about the winter schedule of the trains? Also, is it possible that Nighttrains from Buccharest to Vienna can only be booked one months in advance? I noticed that after that tickets are available till the 8th of december, but are not available after.

Buenas tardes, estoy estudiando la posibilidad de hacer el interrrail por pais de italia, la duda me surge con los precios, he mirado el billete de pais de Italia y me sale sobre 146€, he buscado los viajes que voy a hacer con linea regular y sale mas barato que cogiendo el billete de interrail, esto es normal? estoy equivocado? hay algo que estoy haciendo mal?. Gracias de antemano.Billete medio por italia en el recorrido recomendado por la web...unos 15€ por 5 días = 75€billete de interrail 146, el doble!!! ayuda por favor, o esta pensado para hacer recorridos mas amplios o no lo entiendo

Can I use CD lounge in Prague hbf with 2nd class tickets ? 

English (german below/Deutsch unten)I understand that you have 2 travel days to get out of country and to get back into your country (of residence). My Plan is to use IC40600 from Karlsruhe to Hamburg and then moving from Hamburg to Kobenhaven. The Train departs at 23.06 and apparently there for those 54 minutes are my travelday inside my country of residence. (and german trains are never punctual). Is it actually necessary that I book a later train? So wie ich es verstehe hat man 2 Reisetage um in und aus dem Wohnsitzland zu reisen. Ich würde gerne den IC40600 von Karlsruhe nach Hamburg nutzen und anschliessend von Hamburg nach Kopenhagen fahren. Der Zug fährt um 23.06 ab und dadurch wird anscheinend jener Tag bzw jene 54 min als dieser Reisetag angezeigt. Ist es tatsächlich notwendig jetzt ne Stunde später den zug zu nehmen? Ist ja ziemlich unlogisch gemacht. Dauernd alles flexibel reden aber 0-24 uhr einstellen statt ein 24 stündiges zeitfenster. Totaler quatsch.

I plan on purchasing a 4 train ride in 1 month pass. I only need to travel from Frankfurt- strasbourg and then strasbourg-paris there will be a short 6 minute transfer in between so I’m not sure if that would have to include 1 of my 4 train ride passes or if it’s included with my original ticket from the start of first train ride any help or input is appreciated 

I want to know if it is possible to activate the trains seperatly? Is it a travel day for each train if I activate them?

I flew to the UK to get here, but since this was stressful and is also quite expensive (and damaging to the environment as well as a hassle to bring all my luggage with me), I’ve been looking into alternatives to get home, which is why I’m strongly considering Interrail.But, I’ve ran into problem/question I haven’t been able to truly answer.As I’m from Germany, but am currently in the UK, I’m a little confused about the “country of residence”. I see that only the route to Sicily is available, due to be reserved via Interrail. We are looking to make a reservation from Milano to Bari. When using Italiarail as advised in another post, you only seem to be able to book normal seats, but not beds. Now, without going to Italy, how can I make a reservation for a bed in night train in Italy?  

We are about to embark on our first trip across Europe using rail rather than flying and am struggling a bit with this notion of seat reservations vs a booking. One specific question I would like guidance on from the community is this. I have a Eurail pass and have booked two first class tickets from Munich to Prague on November 23rd on RE357 aka ALX357. Trying to get a seat reservation has been frustrating. I have checked the CD Bahn.DE and Eurail sites and get various forms of “the train is temporarily unavailable for reservations”. Without a seat reservation am I guaranteed a seat but not a specific assignment or could we show up and not be able to board because it is fully booked. It never states fully booked so I’m trying to decide do I show up and hope I get a seat or do I give up and book another train. This is a direct train so it is far more convenient and the other options have 1 or more quite tight connections <10 minutes. Being new to this and having luggage for two of u

Hi,When can I generate a ticket?I have already connected trips to my pass but cannot generate a ticket.Are we able only generate tickets on the actual travel date itself?My pass is valid November 13 but I have already scheduled my trips there. Hi everyone! I live in Lyon. If I want to get the eurostar from Paris, is my journey to Paris included as my 'outbound journey', or would my outbound journey be my eurostar? Basically, are both my journey to Paris and my eurostar allowed on the ticket? (it would be the same coming back arriving in Paris on the eurostar and then going back to Lyon). Thanks so much in advance, I’m so confused!!

I am looking to take a quick business trip to Munich preferring to travel by train than flying however the viability of this is determined by Eurostar seat availabiliy.  how can I check this before i commit to buying a 3 day pass?

I will be traveling with my large family of ten (10) this winter. Seat reservations on the website and mobile app seem to be limited to nine travelers maximum per transaction. We could do successive reservations but our fear is we will not be seated together. Any suggestions? 

Hello there kind community, I noticed that the train from Malpensa Aeroporto T1 to Milano Centrale is Not in Pass Network, so means I cannot book the ticket using my Eurail Global Pass?How should I go about in buying a ticket from Malpensa Aeroporto T1 to Milano Centrale? Would appreciate all the kind help that I can get :)

Any ideas if there will be a Black Friday sale this year and if so what it might be?  I saw in years past Eurrail has had sales on this day.

Hi,  i took the 6:05 train from london at pancreas’s to Nottingham (I’m a uk citizen and was using this as one of my outbound journeys) and the train was cancelled due to track issues so had to get a taxi with other passengers the rest of the journey.   i was wondering if there’s any Kind of compensation I could receive any kinda of compensation from the rail company or interail; mainly for the cab price.  thanks 

I’ve purchased the 3 day pass for my family of 4 to visit Paris in December/January.  I’m able to see and reserve seats for the first leg of our trip, that is from Paris to Lyon.  I have “Included in Pass” selected as  search filter. However, when I try to search seats for the second leg (Lyon to Marseille on 1/3/2023, and then Marseille back to Paris on 1/5/2023), I get the error:“Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”This happens for every possible schedule I search, and I’ve included all potential train types.  Is this because all seats on all trains are truly already sold out?  Or is there something else going on?

I am trying to make my train reservations from Lyon Part Dieu to Barcelona Sants for 26.12.  Journey begins at 11:06am. This is a 2 part journey.  It does not look like I can no longer reserve seats for part 1.  When I booked part 2 my transaction goes through but then I receive an email from Eurail stating something went wrong with the reservation.  It is extremely frustrating!  We are on a pretty tight travel schedule.  My biggest concern is getting the ticket from Nimes to Barcelona Sants on the 13:18 train.  I should have more options from Lyon to Nimes (regional train.)  Can anyone advise?  

Bonjour, j’ai réalisé une réservation, je suis arrivée au paiement et je n’ai toujours pas de réservation sur mon compte. Ne sachant pas si cela avait fonctionné, j’ai  réalisé une nouvelle réservation (j’ai peur d’avoir payé deux fois)Comment savoir si la réservation est prise en compte? Si j’ai fais la réservation deux fois, est-ce que je peux être remboursée de la deuxième commande? Le site n’est pas très clair,Merci Gabriela
