Get ready to travel

Ist folgendes möglich ?An einem Reisetag vormittags von Italien bis  Österreich fahren , dann aber nachmittags die outbound Reise aus Deutschland nach Polen machen ? (Dazwischen für die Einreise aus Österreich nach Deutschland ein eigenes Ticket kaufen damit es keine Einreise ist.)Oder kann ich einfach durch fahren und es zählt trotzdem nur als outbound ? Ich will nicht  meine inboundreise und outboundreise beide dafür verwenden, weil ich inbound später noch brauchen werde.

Hey ! I would like to go from Tallinn to Munich by going through Riga, Vilnius and Warsaw. The fact is that I can't find any train and I'm a bit lost so if anyone has information for July please tell me :) I got a Global Pass Thank you

I am having difficulties booking my trip from Barcelona to Sevilla but I have friends in Spain that could possibly help me by making a reservation at a Spain Railway station on my behalf. Does anyone know if RENFE allows this or if the Eurail card holder needs to be present at the station? 

Are you able to request to change the pass numbers  on seat reservations from TrenItalia (booked via Interrail)?

Friends, I purchased a 1st class pass. When I go to book a reservation because it’s required, I’m only allowed to purchase a 2nd class reservation. Two questions:  Does that mean 1st class is sold out?  If so, then how do I request a refund for my pass since I can’t really use 1st class if it’s not available?Many, many thanks!

Hey everyone ! I wanted to book my reservation for the journey Oslo-Bergen and vice versa. Somehow, I was not possible to get the reservation as an E ticket but only as a paper one which would be shipped to my home.. this would cost a ton !! Hello: I would like to take train from Athens to Istanbul in around mid October. the route I found via seat61 is from Athens to Sofia and Sofia to Istanbul. Is the regular train service from Sofia to Istanbul still operational? How can I reserve seat, It doesn't show any schedule when reserving via eurail website?   I have a global pass so only need a reservation.  thanks

Hi everybody, me and my friend booked a seat reservation for the train Bergen-Oslo. It was supposed to arrive at our hostel (Hostel Montana, paper ticket..) but it never arrived. And the fact is that we didn’t get any email/receipt but we payed. now we have two options: to explain our situation on the train (but I don’t know if it’s a good idea) or buy another seat reservation (but as I said we’ve already paid and It’s unfair..)Can someone help us? Thanks in advance :))

HI guys, just read lots of posts about not being able to book in advance seats on trains going from France to Spain and back!We’re travelling this weekend but haven’t really planned out our journey yet. I thought that was the whole idea of the ticket. Does anyone have any up to date advice…..?

Traveling from Barcelona to Lyon, Oct 17,2022,    when I try to make the reservation in the page that is shipping details, when I select Spain as the country, I get this MSG “you order contains one or more paper tickets , based on our calculations, your order will not arrive on time. Please send your reservations to another address, such as Your hotel in Europe, or try booking at a European Train station”I’m arriving to Barcelona From Qatar Oct 15, the shipping address that I’m trying to Use is the hotel In Barcelona,Please advice 

Hi,I ordered paper reservation tickets for Oslo to Bergen to travel on 2 September and Bergen to Oslo on 4th September. The only option I had on the eurail website was to order paper tickets and wait for them to be delivered. The tickets never arrived and I think they were returned to their office, despite my address being correct on the order. In order to travel I had to book and pay again directly with the train company over the phone. I’ve tried contacting eurail for a refund on the original paper tickets but I have not been able to get a response. Any advice?

Is it mandatory to spend two of the six days in Italy (Venice/Ancona/Bari) or Greece (Patras/Igoumenitsa) on the 6-day Greek Islands pass? Or can the 6 days be used to stay only in the Greek Islands?

I’m new to interrailing. I am travelling with 2 young girls and we have booked tickets on the night train from Nice to Paris. I have just checked the tickets and it appears we are not sleeping together, the tickets are VOITURE 18 - PLACE 086, 81 and 92.  I booked them all together and the small print says if you book together you will seat together. This can’t be right. I can’t not sleep with my children. Any advice?

Hello!A group of 6 of us have a week long trip going from London to Switzerland to Venice to Croatia. I am concerned with my booking. We have first class passes and a few instances along the trip it says “You're ready to boardYou can buy a seat reservation if you like but it's not required.”I am just looking to make sure that if I do not buy the seat reservation that I will be guaranteed a spot on the train. Or is it a better idea to just buy the seat reservations for all 6 of us. We just don’t want to be stuck somewhere and have that screw up our whole trip. Thank you!

Hello! I’ve booked 3 tickets in the sleeper train from Nice to Paris with my children but we are not all sleeping together (despite booking at the same time) has anyone else had any experience of this?

Can we travel from Cannes to st tropez by train and ferry? On the pass?

HI friends! I am brand new to the Eurail community and trying to book my first leg of my journey from Titisee > Freiburg > Hamburg > Copenhagen on 9/30 and arriving 10/1  I just called OBB directly to make a seat reservation from  as all the research I’ve done says that making a seat reservation through the app is not guaranteed and is more expensive (can someone clarify that as a side note?) I am buying a first class Eurail pass as this specific trip was required to reserve first class due to availability.  My problem is that the Eurail planner is now only showing a Nightjet Freiburg > Hamburg leg … this is exactly the same time as the Intercity train that I’m supposed to be on. I’d really like to avoid any fines and the OBB service agent told me that the Nightjet is COMPLETELY sold out so I’d have to take the intercity but the timetable is exactly the same… i’ll just have to be in a seat. She confirmed there were still seats in first class for Intercity 60400 at 21:58… I

Hello!! My fiancé and I purchased a eurail but were under the impression that you had to “add” a journey in order to book seat reservations. We are going to be traveling for 4 weeks and are still unsure of just how many places we would like to see. We just want to kind of wing it and make the most of where we end up. (We bought the 10 days over 2 month pass). HOWEVER, we went to add our train to Paris for tomorrow and it shows that no seat reservations are available. It does show that you can book seats at the train station. Are we just out of luck at this point?? We bought this pass because of the freedom to just choose random days to travel and not have to set an itinerary but I’m starting to think if we don’t have everything planned out right now that we won’t be going much of any where.  Any advice and help would be GREATLY appreciated. I arrive in Europe on my 28th birthday. If I buy the youth eurail (mobile pass) can I simply activate it the day before when I'm 27 even though I won't be able to travel on that particular day? I know that it's valid for whatever age you are on the first day of activation so is there anything stopping me from activating it before I get to Europe other than losing a day without using the pass?

The guide book says there is a Hallstat train station across the lake from Hallstat. Rome2Rio says there is a train to Hallstat. But the Eurail planning app says there is no such trip. Can someone reveal the secret of how to get this into the app? Thanks
