This is my first question to the community so thank you in advance for your assistance. This is my first question to the community so thank you in advance for your assistance.I purchased two paper global Eurail passes for myself and a friend. I am in Barcelona and would like to go to Marseille. I understand that a reservation is needed and I understand that I have to pay for the reservation. However when I go to do this it states that the reservation will be mailed to me by post. I’m presently staying in a hotel and we should travel in the next few days and am concerned that the post reservation will not arrive in time. Is there a better way to do this? Thank you again for your assistance.
Moin,We are planning a group trip with about 12 young people (12-14 years) and 2 supervisors to France. We only need the trips for the outward journey and the return journey.Does it make more sense for the participants to organize their Interrail ticket themselves, or does central booking make more sense? What happens if a participant gets sick and doesn't even start the journey? Can individual tickets also be canceled? Can seat reservations also be made as a group? Again, the question, could individual reservations be cancelled? The trip is planned for May 2023. Can seats be reserved before buying an Interrail ticket, or is it tied to the ticket? For the German area, the reservation should be possible with the change to the winter timetable. (Right?) From when is pre-reservation possible for the French area? Thanks for tips and opinions from a total newbie. Kind regards
Hey Guys,I want to travel from Hamburg to Paris at 01.10.2022. My ticket says I have to make seat reservations, but I can’t purchase any seat reservation for a high speed train (TGV or THA) on that day (even not on the next day). I find it hard to believe, that any train is sold out. So I’m thinking maybe I’m doing something wrong. Can you please help me?PS: under every train ist the information written:Prices unavailableNo results were found for this compound. All pass holder seats may be sold out. Please try to find another connection or see "More Info" for alternative ways to book this seat reservation. If no more pass holder seats are available, you will need to purchase a separate full fare ticket to take this train.
I’ve bought a pass at this point and understand generally how to use it and the concept of reservations. However, what I’d like to know is when, when I don’t have a reservation, is my seat confirmed/reserved? When I’m on the train? Do I then not make it on if reservations fill up or others with the EURAIL pass beat me to boarding?
I am trying to book an optional reservation for a German DB EC domestic train. E5.90 on the DB website / app. This is for a few weeks away (and already looking full). What happens if I want to change trains or cancel the reservation? Can this be done or do I loose the 5.90 and have to reserve again? Thanks
I’m planning on travelling from my own country towards another. However I don’t want to use the outbound trid. Instead I will travel with another subscription, that allows unlimited travel until the border. But it’s required to record the journeys? On the old interrail ticket it was possible to write something like “NL/BE Border”, but haven’t found a way to do this in the app. How do you do this? 😁An example could be the train from Rotterdam to Antwerp.Entering the last station in the Netherlands is no option. And there are no stations between the border and Antwerp. So entering the first Belgium station is no option as well.
Hi All, Quick question. If I am using my pass for the first time on the 5/10 at 9.30am does my first day count from 9.30am to 11.59pm on the 4th ?
Hello, Can you use valid Eurail France Pass to travel in the Paris City via RER? (ex. Paris Gare de Lyon to Chatelet les Halles) Thank you!
If kids are included in as a part of adult pass do I need to book a seperate reversation for kids where the train demands a reservation?
Hi: I have seat reservation on train number 2365 for three pass holders for October 7 at 9:11 AM from Paris to Strasbourg. The rail planner app only shows me 2065 train and I don’t see any trains for October 7 at 9:11 AM anymore. When I booked the tickets from SNCF for 2365, the rail planner did show me 2365 but it no longer has that train and only shows 2065. This is so confusing. Can I board 2065 train with seat reservations for 2365? How is that even possible or Do I need to add that train manually into rail planner. I do have confirmed seat reservation for 2365 from Paris EST to Strasborug.Doe
Hi. My partner and I will be travelling from Florence to Rome and have decided to do a side trip in between to Pisa. Is there a luggage storage at Pisa Centrale station? It would be a lot easier to roam around Pisa without our luggage. Thanks in advance for the help
Hey, unfortunately I discovered that there is a problem with trains going to or from slovenia after the 15.10.22. I didn’t find any information about strikes etc online. Actually I wanted to go from Italy to Slovenia (trieste-Ljubljana) and then to Croatia (Ljubljana-Zagreb), both connections are a 2h trip but after 15.10 there is only a complicated way which would take me around 11h. Any ideas why? I hope you can help me.
Hi, I have a non-EU passport and also the long-term residence card (for 1 year, the plastic one) in Czech Republic.I am planning to travel in this route : Venezia Mestre --- Salzburg Hbf --- Muenchen Hbf --- Brno hl.n.So the questions is :Is the long-term residence (plastic) card enough to show as the proof of official document when getting Interrail pass? Or do I have to get an Eurail pass? I am not familiar with the inbound/outbound rule. According to the route that I am planning, does it violate the rule?
We stand here at the ferry port in Igoumenitsa and wanted to take the overnight ferry to Ancona. In your description it says clearly that we can use a travel day. The people here from Minoan as from Superfast know nothing about that and just want to give us a small discount (Minoan only 20% our friend traveling with us got the same discount without interrail ticket). We extra saved a travel day for that trip, that is now useless and we had to pay 140,- €We’d like to have it refunded. Very disappointedMarcel and Zahra
I'm planning my first Interrail journey and I'm wandering what to do if a train already added to my pass is canceled or delayed on my travel day.Thank you
Hello all, I am looking to purchase an eurail pass for my trip in December, however when I am trying to create the journey so I can connect it once I’ve bought the pass, it keeps coming up saying Not In Pass Network. Does this mean I can’t use the pass for this journey? The journey is Zurich Airport to Wengen.

Hello hive mind …. I’ve had a browse through the forums but can’t find anything definitive. We’re setting off on Sunday with our passes and trips on one phone. Just planning for the worst I;m wondering if there’s anything I should do in case the phone gets lost / stolen / broken and I need somehow to activate the pass on a different phone.Similarly, is there ever an issue, I wonder, where there is no intenet connection. (Should I, for example, be saving the QR code pages as screenshots / pdfs).Has anyone had experience of this and wishes they’d carried numbers / screenshots etc with them… Thank you
Does anybody know how I can contact customer service? I got a new phone one day before travel and so attempted to contact interrail to get my pass switched to my new device. They took 2 days to respond to me (which was ridiculous given my entire trip was only 4 days and needed my pass immediately) and still did not give a clear answer of how to do so. Thankfully I had a screenshot of my pass and planned journeys which got me through the first few days of my trip. However, I was charged €86 by Trenitalia on one of my journeys due to them not accepting the screenshot of my pass, email confirmation and seat reservation I had already booked- as a result of me not having my pass on my new phone as interrail had failed to help me. This journey should have been included on my pass and I had paid for a seat reservation. I strongly believe this is interrails fault for the lack of communication meaning I could not add my mobile pass to my new device. Is there any way I can contact interrail a
The Community warns us that we should check train times as train times on the Interrail website are not updated regularly. Rather than check with each national carrier individually, eg OBB, DB, SNCF do you think that The Train Line website is useful please ?
I want to do if the Eurail Global Mobile Pass Flex includes EUROSTAR?It stated on the web site the EURAIL GLOBAL does but what about the FLEX PASS?Do we have to pay extra fee’s for EUROSTAR on the FLEX GLOBAL PASS?Looking at 5 days within 1 monthThanks, Carol
I'm not satisfied with the explanation of "travel day" in the interrail website and even in other YouTube tutorials. So I wanna really understand the logic of it with details.I always imagined like this: Let’s say I have a 7 days pass and I went from Estonia to Germany, and let’s say it lasted 10 hours in the train. I’m imagining like 6 days 14 hours left for me to travel. But as much as I research, I’m encountering some things which are confusing me more, even in the interrail’s website itself says like this: “For instance, you can use 1 travel day to get from London to Paris and another travel day to go from Paris to Amsterdam.” But going from London to Paris, and Paris to Amsterdam, all can be done in one day. Even we can go more destinations if we want. From London to Paris, it says 2hrs 16mins.From Paris to Amsterdam, it says 3 hrs 31 mins.So in total, it’s just 5 hrs 47 mins. How it can cost 2 travel days then?Somebody please tell me this thing with all details, for I’m perfection
If I getting the euro rial mobile pass (not the paper pass) do i need to physically print out all the seat reservation? If so does this mean that I cant make a reservation on day or the night before given i wont have access to a printer while traveling ?
Hello, Where can you make seat reservations for the EuroCity-services between Montreux and Milano? We have no time to use the local trains via Brig and Domodossola, our planning only allows the EuroCity-service. Thanks.ovspotter_be
Hi,there has been a few questions and answers about this, and it seems if the first day of validity of a one month pass is the 30.9. then the last day would be 29.10.; and if the first day is 1.10., the last day is 31.10.However on my pass it says 30.7.-30.9. - how is this possible?
