I read somewhere in this forum (but cannot find it now) that in certain German ICE trains it happens that Interrail pass holders without seat reservations are asked to disembark for security when there are too many passengers standing in the corridors of the full train.Does this happen regularly?And if I desperately need to be on a specific ICE that I can see in advance is fully booked, does it help if I buy a regular ticket for that trip valid that day, so that I am not any more considered an Interrail pass holder, even though I still do not have a seat reservation on that train?In other words, when I do not have a seat reservation on an ICE that is full of standing passengers, do I have better chances of not being disembarked if I hold a regular ticket, than with an Interrail pass?

Hi I am keen to travel from Istanbul to Amsterdam in early Nov 2022 and I want to take Bucharest to Budapest EuroNight on 9th  or 10th Nov. I am searching for the train but cant find it at this site or any other?Does this connection still exist? Is there any alternative by train?Pls advise.

Hi -Kindly suggest Golden Pass route & timetable from Interlaken to Gstaad and Interlaken to Lucern with Interrail Global Pass to be travelled end of Sept 2022.Can we take these trains multiple times with stops in between ?Any seat reservation required on these trains? What is difference between golden pass belle epoque vs panoramic?

Hello, I am looking to book the optimal pass for my wife and I with our 7 year old son. We will be traveling from Barcelona to Madrid on Oct 7, Madrid to Seville on Oct 8, Seville to Marbella on Oct 10 and then from Marbella to Madrid on Oct 13. We’d like to AVE in Premier class.any suggestions on what is the best pass for that would be greatly appreciated. thanks,max

(Not home when I should receive seat reservations)Is there any way I can change the location the seat reservations will be send to? Like that it will be send to one of my friends houses? Because that day I will not be home and the next 2 days the mail will not be deliverd and the day after that I leave for my trip….

I have browsed through the forum and I am only getting more confused - so I am putting my question here hoping for some help! I live and study in Switzerland, and I need to take a specific course on Thursday in Paris. So I plan on leaving and returning to Switzerland on the same day. I have bought a global pass, and my current travel plan is: (123 morning 456 afternoon)Zürich to Basel Basel to Strasbourg Strasbourg to Paris Est Paris Est to Strasbourg Strasbourg to Basel Basel to ZürichAgain these all take places in one day! I wonder if my global pass could cover the Zürich-Basel part and Basel-Zürich part? On my app I have selected these yet no outbound and inbound journeys were used so I am quite confused. I am well aware of the Lyria option but I have already purchased above tickets for the following weeks. Any help would be appreciated! best,Askr

Hello, I want to travel to Barcelona 4 days a week, return on the same day, departure from Montpellier (France). Does the pass cover the outward and return journey with renfe SNCF ? Hi,I’m trying to make a seat reservation for travel on the TGV Lyria over Christmas on the 22nd December. For journeys originating in Switzerland these tickets are now available (from oui.sncf or the CFF/SBB sites for direct booking), however on the Interrail seat reservation site I get the message that the train times are not available.   I tried the SNCB site but it doesn’t allow booking of TGV’s that originate outside of France.Is there a reason that these trains haven’t been loaded into the interrail booking engine, are you able to update it somehow?Thanks,kes1.

Hello!I am planning with my wife to interrail from UK to Portugal with mobile passes to meet up with our daughter near Porto over Xmas. The route includes Paris – Madrid, overnighting in San Sebastian. The problem is San Sebastian to Madrid, probably on 20 Dec. In theory I should be able to buy a reservation in San Sebastian after arriving on 19 Dec BUT (given what I see on the Renfe site for booking the 9.02am Alvia on Friday) I don’t think I can place any reliance on the Dec train not being sold out.It’s pretty important to all the other bookings I am likely to be making to be able to get this reservation – or the equivalent on the new Dec timetable.That’s background, the questions are:As soon as Dec timetable info is available can I get a friend in Spain to go into GRANADA station and buy reservations valid for interrail for us? Are the reservations pieces of paper to be sent by post or can they be emailed? If that is not possible, and with fingers crossed given what I see for curre

I have a global pass first class pass, I would like to cancel this seat reservation  from Paris to Zurich for October 7. Hello Two months ago i started my "2 months global pass" wrongly. I sent this situation as an e-mail to the interrail account and they fixed the situation by adding 3 days. However, we have planned a family trip today and I can't add any trips. Our tickets expire tomorrow. What can i do?   

I’m a bit confused about canceling a travel day.I have a 7 day flexi pass and have used 4 days.I have added day 5 of my trip to My Pass but I want to change the train times I have booked.If I cancel the travel day does that cancel the current bookings so I can then add my new bookings?

I just got fined 50 euro travelling from Paris to Avignon because I hadn’t validated my Eurail pass prior to boarding the train. I had booked seats for me and my family of 5 but didn’t realised I had to validate the pass on the day of travel. The inspector suggested it was 50 euro fine for each of my travelling party (250) but when I said no to that he reduced it to 50. Now I’m hearing from other passengers that he should have let me go as we validated all 5 passes then and there. Should I report him or is this normal?

Hello fellow travelers, I find it hard to find trains for my connection. There are no Trains between Instanbul and Thessaloniki as far as I understood, do you have another suggestion how I can get there? Also, I want to go from Thessaloniki to Zürich directly. There is no conneciton shown, did anyone do this trip before? I thought either to take the ferry to Italy and go by train up. But there is again no train to the port where the ferrys leve. Or I could go by land but I dont unterstand the connection I would have to take then. Please help me :)  

Hey guys, I was just at the start of my inter railing adventure and I had to end it suddenly as my Dad passed away.  I have already activated my pass and used 2 out of my 10 travel days…do you guys know if there’s anyway I could freeze my pass so it doesn’t run out? thanks guys xx

We are travelling with a pass and journey /reservations on each of our smartphones. If one of our phones is broken or lost can the pass details from the lost/broken phone be transferred to the working phone ? 

We have two Global Passes for 2 months with 15 travel days that we purchased on April 10, 2022.  The last day to activate is March 10, 2023.  What is the last day that we can use these passes to travel?  Is it 11 months plus 2 months, thus meaning travel must end by May 10, 2023?  Or is it 12 months plus 2 months, thus meaning travel must end by June 10, 2023?

Hi there! I’m planning a trip starting from September 23rd to November 22nd. This should fall into the 10 travel days within 2 months pass, correct? I’m asking because when I use the “find your best pass tool”, it sends me to the 3-month pass, which is a lot more expensive!  Thanks :)

Hi! Wanting to know if you need an internet connection to actually add a train to your journey on the mobile app, (i.e. if you’re in a station and pick a train at that time). Also, what happens on the mobile app if it’s a train that requires a reservation? Thanks!

Hai | Ich und mein Kollege haben evt vor nächsten Sommer wahrscheinlich August-Sept die Städte (Oslo2 Tage) (Stockholm 4T) (Kopenhagen 4T) und (Hamburg 4T) zu besuchen.  Dazu einige Fragen:Ich bin 28 und mein Kollege 27 habe gelesen gibt auch ein Skandinavien Pass aber der würde ja nicht in Frage kommen wäre die alternative Option 5 Tage in 1 MonatFahrplan habe ich geschaut, was gibt es für Zugempfehlungen von eurer Seite? Wo kann ich reservieren und wann günstiger? Sitzeplätze Reservierungspflichtig? | Nachtzug empfehlenswert? gibt es sonst noch für Bestimmungen oder sonst was zu beachten für die Reise durch Skandinavien?  würde mich sehr freuen über Rückmeldungen, Antworten Freundliche Grüsse Rebublic
