This winter, I set off on a Eurail adventure that I will never forget. Over the course of a month, I traveled through Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, and Hungary—all by train. What made it truly special was not just the breathtaking scenery or the seamless train journeys, but the personal milestone I’ll carry with me forever: I got engaged during this trip.Traveling by train made the journey feel alive. Instead of rushing through airports, I was able to sit by the window and watch Europe unfold—snow-dusted villages in Germany, storybook castles in the Czech Republic, endless rolling countryside in Hungary, and the sparkling Adriatic coastline of Croatia. Hello, I would like to know if the five-day Global Pass is enough to travel five times in different countries in Europe and also if seat reservations are made after payment and purchase of the Global Pass.I ask this because I already have my travel dates and need to know if I can schedule exactly for the days I will be traveling.

My favorite adventure was when I traveled through part of Western Europe with my Interrail pass. I left Hungary with a friend and on the first day in Austria we visited the city of Vienna. That evening we continued by train to Prague, Czech Republic. It was very exciting because the train was late and we almost missed our booked accommodation, but everything turned out great. We spent two beautiful days in Prague and then continued our journey to Berlin by train, which seemed like a very quick travel. Berlin was fascinating, but we could only stay for one night because our journey continued to Amsterdam. One of the most incredible experiences I had was “discovering” Amsterdam. Everyone was very friendly and kind. I went running in parks several mornings. After three days we boarded a train and arrived in Brussels. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time there, but we visited the main sights. We continued on to Paris that same day. Paris was heaven for me, I was completely captivated by

I travelled alone as a newly born senior, and went through Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania and on from there to Greece. I was delighted to find interrailing more similar to cherished memories of interrailing as a teen than what could have been expected, though a little less risky. We had heatwaves, engine breakdowns, and long layovers in unusual locations, and I had great conversations all along. It turns out travelling solo as a 60 year old lady is great. So much tension is taken out of social situations, and I found young people, in particular, to be interested as well as interesting in long conversations. I embraced the occasional discomfort and - apologies for the cheesiness - found my own self en route by way of it. By that, I mean my ‘shape’ in the world, relocated by rubbing up against the world. The most unforgettable trip I took was an Interrail trip with my two best friends, Alex and Roi. At the beginning of the summer, we got together and decided to embark on a 12-day adventure through six European countries. We left at the end of July from Brussels, where we started by visiting the city, its monuments, and the EU institutions. We also tried the typical dishes: mussels, fries, and, of course, Belgian chocolate.From there, we went to Amsterdam, which was only two hours away by train. It was my favorite city of the trip: beautiful, welcoming, and with an incredible atmosphere. When I look on other sites there are many ways to travel to my destinations that are in Germany and Austria. Do I just have to use the routes suggested by the travel planner?  If I opt for other routes can I use my Interrail pass on any train line in Holland, Belgium, Germany or Austria. What are the pitfalls of not going with the suggestions by the planner

I’m based in Bergen (Norway) and planning a trip towards central Europe with a global pass. My current plan is:day1: take the train from Bergen to Oslo on my pass and then take a night bus (not on pass) to Hamburg. travel in Europe with my passday 5: arrive in Oslo after taking another night bus and take the train from Oslo to Bergen.  Would these train trips count as inbound/outbound trips? I'm a bit unsure, as I won't be crossing a border by train

if I have a pass and I’ve made seat reservations, can I still get a refund for the pass if I cancel my trip?

For now two years ago I went on a year abroad in France. It was an amazing and memorable experience. I got to see a lot of beautiful nature, especially since I was in the French Alps. So I wanted to go with my sister and dad. So in the end of February I flew home, to see my family, and on the way back my dad and sister came along! We took the train to Copenhagen which was beautiful, and the first time I got to visit there. We spent a couple of days there and continued our trip then to Geneva. We stopped by Hamburg and went to a lovely restaurant and took the night train to Basel. We stayed in Geneva a couple of days and went snowboarding in Grand Monte in Chamomix and even took a day trip to Paris seeing as we had an extra day on our pass. All in all it was a beautiful and rememberable trip that has sparked my love for traveling by train. So I would love to revisit and show my friends the beauty of Europe by winter❤️

Hello, this is my first Interrail Trip, so I‘m sorry for beginner questions :) I have 15 day Global Pass. I‘m planning on going from Vienna (Austria) to Dornbirn (Austria) on the 3rd of October, stay with a friend for 2 nights and then travel to Geneve (Switzerland) on the 5th of October. I‘ll be going to Sevilla (Spain) and take the plane back, so I won’t need an inbound journey back to Austria. My questions are: Can I even book a trip from Vienna to Dornbirn or does my first train ride have to end in another country?  Can I book a trip from Dornbirn to Geneve on the 5th of October or will the app not let me do that because the trip starts in Austria again?  Could I alternatively book a trip from Vienna to Lindau (Germany, but very close to Dornbirn) and just get off in Dornbirn? And then book a trip from Lindau to Geneve and just get on in Dornbirn? Or is it forbidden to ride through your home country?  Could I cross the border from Dornbirn to Switzerland without the Global Pass and

We are planning on flying into London next September and working on a train trip in the route below. We are both retired, and USA Residents. First time traveling train in Europe. This may change slightly, may fly home from Barcelona, may travel back to London, and leave/fly home from there depending on cost in September ‘26. A bit early to get flight prices.Itinerary plans are to stay in London 7-8 Days, then 2-4 days (3 Days rounded) at each stop.Probably 4 Days in Paris, 4 Days in Amsterdam, then 3 days on the rest of the train destinations.Being 65 both of us we are still working out how our baggage is going to work out (2 large bags, 2 carry on. May be doing Air BNB at most places or just bite it and do hotels through Expedia. We want to have a memorable and enjoyable time traveling and will more than likely do 1st class all the way as much as we can. I bought my mobile pass on the 11th of December last year (2024) , IT says:’ activate this pass by 11. November 2025.’ When is the last date I can use any of the four dates of my global pass? 

Please as advice if getting a 7 day GP can be used to on eurostar I want to travel from London to France & Italy. Is a 7day pass going to be helpful. I want to travel to many cities in Italy but do not want to get  ocp as it doesn't cover all trains.From what I am reading reserving seats & using the pass seems very complicatedWhat's the best or recommended train to travel

I have created a new trip on which I am taking my daughter.  I have created this trip including her  in the desktop log in for the trip.  However on the mobile app she is not in the trip.  On the mobile app on my phone can she be in the same trip or do I need to add her separately or get her to create a trip herself on her own mobile?

I have recently been adding journeys to my upcoming trip on both coasts of Italy and when informed I must reserve seats (which I want to do), often I’m given the following message: "No price results were found…but there are other ways …Book in person at a main station … Book online at tickets.oebb.at." The latter has not worked for my three different journeys I was counting on.” I would love to get seats on several particular journeys. Could someone give me some guidance? That is, if I talk to agents at the main station in Stockholm (where my first journey will begin0, is it possible I might still get my dream tickets? And oebb.at has not opened the way either in all 3 journeys I have tried.  Perhaps you have other suggestions or wisdom for me?Thanks so much!

Hi all,I’m planning a trip to Spain next month, and I’m still trying to understand how to navigate the Spanish train system, the apps, and the process. So far, I’ve booked my Eurail Pass for Spain, and I’ve also made my seat reservations through Rail Europe. At the moment, I’m using two apps: Rail Planner App – which shows my Eurail Pass ticket/QR code for it Rail Europe App – which shows my seat reservation ticket / QR code for it  At the station, do I need to present both of these tickets? Please correct me if I’m wrong.I’m still trying to understand how the whole train journey flow works.

I installed the Intterail App on my smartphone and organized the complete trip with all connections there. For our journey we want to use the phone of my wife, because its newer and more reliable. Is there any way to transfer the data of de trip from one app to the other, for example via the pass numbers registered in the app?

Ersatzt uns dann die verursachende Bahngesellschaft im Extremfall auch eine notwendige Übernachtung? Ist der Interrailpass dann auch für den Folgetag gültig, wenn am selben (geplanten) Reisetag kein Zug mehr fährt? Wie weise ich meine Reise nach? Reichen dafür die Reservierungen? Does anyone know how to get a refund to a different credit card.   My partner bought a pass last March and has started a refund.  The process assumes that it’s on the same credit card but he’s got a new one (lost the old one).  So he needs to get the refund onto the new card ( or another way).   Is there a process for this?  Thanks. 

Hi. I had booked an ÖBB train from Vienna to Salzburg in October. When I was looking at the app, I realize that there has been a change in my journey. Based on my checking, my train has been changed from RJ642 to IC642. I had reserved first class seats. Will my seats still be valid because the type of train changed? :/ I booked back in May only to see this change now.I am unable to call their hotline as I am based in Asia and it’ll be expensive for overseas call. I had sent them an enquiry via their website but I heard that they may have take some time to reply.In the event that nothing has been done by the time I reach Vienna, do you think it would be possible to go to the OBB office at the train station to ask them to reserve seats on my behalf, or should I take a risk to enter the first class cabin and sit on any empty seats?  I’ll be traveling on a Thursday if that helps Thank you in advanced
