Get ready to travel

I'm planning a trip with my mother in switzerland for 4 days and i was wondering if the 1st class option is worth the difference in price since some trains don't even offer 1st class. We're going from paris -> geneve -> interlaken -> jungfrau and back to paris. Is it worth it for my mom? Is it more comfortable? And which areas don't have the 1st class options on trains?And is it possible to purchase a 2nd class pass but upgrade to 1st on a couple trains like on the goldenpass line

We made a trip, with several journeys. When we try to edit the trip, it says “ connect a pass to this trip”. When we activate this it says “choose which pass you want to travel with” and it says  “paper pass”. And we can not change this. And we have a mobile pass. What should we do?

I haven’t received a confirmation email even though I paid for the Europass for more than a day.Where do I request a confirmation email?And I wrote my driver’s license number on the passport number and ID number, is there no problem with using Eurail Pass?

Hey guys,I’ve been a lurker since I bought my 2 month global pass but it seems like it will fail on the 5th day.Our ticket were supposed to arrive two weeks ago with PostNL but unfortunately the postman marked the parcel as refused without trying to deliver it or ring our bell or give the neighbors or give it to the post office . The parcel is now it’s on its way back to interrail. I tried to contact interrail via email and chat support but they’re not answering. I talked with PostNL but they apparently don’t have any control over it and only the sender can resend it. I talked with SNCF but the woman said she can’t book me another ticket because it’s booked out. We are leaving Germany in 3 days. Marseille is our second stop after Paris. Does anybody know what other options there are? We have reservation but we don’t have the paper ticket. Can we get a copy ticket in Paris office? Do you think interrail will ever answer to us? Even if they do will it every arrive on time? Do you thinks

HI,We have several questions regarding our Christmas trip. It is our first time taking Eurrail/Interrail.We live in Mannheim, Germany, planning to travel to friends near London in Christmas. We are a family of 5 (3 kids age - 8, 10 & 12 years old).Our trip is a total of 10 days and we plan to visit Manchester for 2 days. I imagine we will need to buy a 4 days tickets (German To & from London, London to & from Manchester). I saw that there is a ‘One Country Pass’ 4 days pass that is 619€.Is it the correct type of tickets we should get?The itinerary schedule I saw on the web is: Mannheim Main train station (hbf) to Paris, then London. Since I stopped Paris for transit, is it still considered ‘One Country’? If I purchase this ‘One country 4 days tickets’, that means I dont have to buy any other tickets correct? except booking the seats from Paris to London On our return trip, I saw that it is London to Brussel, Belgium to Mannheim, Germany. Hello,I am fully aware that a Global Pass is only valid in countries other than my own (except those two days).However, České dráhy (Czech national railway operator) claim on the Interrail page of their site that “During the ticket’s term of validity, it is possible to return to the Czech Republic and to use the same ticket to travel out again, without any formalities.” - https://www.cd.cz/en/typy-jizdenek/mezinarodni-jizdenky/-28278/That confuses me quite a lot because there’s been this https://community.eurail.com/eurail-interrail-passes-41/interrail-global-pass-with-bahncard-100-2646 overwhelming discussion that I can NOT arrive and depart more times BUT that Interrail can be combined with a network-wide ticket. I have no problem with buying ČD’s summer ticket to cover the Czech republic as it’s remarkably cheap, but I’m just confused whether the statement above is true or whether the truth is somewhere in between.Thank you so much :)Daniel

Hi!I am a South African citizen (living in SA), currently in England, however I left my SA passport at my brothers house elsewhere in Europe. I currently only have my Italian passport and my SA drivers license on me. I also have SA police verified copies of my SA passport and ID with me.I am currently attempting to purchase a Eurrail pass, however I do not have my SA passport with me. Would an SA drivers license, or the copies of my ID & passport be sufficient as proof of identification? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

At this moment we are staying in Slovakia but we are planning to go to Krakow. It is not possible to book a seat online, so we will have to do that in Ostrava (that’s where we will start the trip to Poland). However, we are afraid the train will be fully booked by that time.. Has anyone travelled to Krakow recently and can tell us how busy the trains were? 

Hello, I am planning to go interrailing in three weeks and starting to book train reservations. I noticed that, for example, when travelling from Wien to Bratislava, Rail Planner App says that you don’t need a reservation. But how can I be sure that there is room in the train 3 weeks from now if I don’t book a seat?? This is making me stress a lot because I don’t want any surprises, like missing the train, when travelling😅

Hi peeps, we have arrived in Italy with a prepaid Eurail pass and it has failed us already. We have a booking reference number from our agent… problem is that we a) we havent travelled yet and our mobile pass says that we have used day 1 of our 4 days in one month...have yet to step foot on a train.we do not know how to load or access the booking number. the pass 1st class Eurail Italy Mobile Pass 4 days in one month already paidCan anyone out there help me please as we need to catch the train tomorrow morning  and nobody here seems to be able to help and we cannot contact our agent as it is the middle of the night in Australia.ThanksCorinne :)

Bonjour. J’ai un problème avec mon Interrail Global Pass. Je n’ai actuellement utilisé que 9 journées de voyage, dont 1 outbound, mais l’application me considère 10 journées de voyage utilisées. L’application me bloque au 31 Août mais je souhaite utiliser ma dernière journée de voyage le dimanche 4 septembre. J’ai déjà réservé mes places pour les trajets requis du 4 septembre.Svp aidez moi à finaliser ma réservation et débloquer l’application car j’ai encore 1 journée utilisable sur mon Global Pass. Merci beaucoup  

Hi there! So I’m in Barcelona right now and yesterday I went to the train station to get a seat reservation to Bordeaux St Jean and they told me I could only get one for the transit train to Nerbonne, wich I did and the seat reservation from Narbonne to Bordeaux I should get when I’m in France or online. But when I was trying to get it online It asks me for a “Interrail cover number” but the thing is I have the mobile pass and not the paper format. I won´t be in france until exactly the day of my journey, and the missing seat reservation is for the train I would need…. so it would be really risky to wait until minutes before departure to go in person to the service at the station and ask for buying the seat reservation. That is really risky. If that doesn´t work, I lost the following connections for what I already have reservations.Could somebody with experience on this help me, please? By accident my mobile deleted all the data of the apps including the data of the Interrail, when trying to log in it warns me that the pass is activated on another device when it is the same one. I leave on Thursday, September 1, and I wouldn't want to miss the trip so I hope this is fixable. I’ve already emailed to the two costumer services available. I’m scared that I wont get a response that’s why I’m reaching for help through all means

Buenas! Estamos haciendo el interrail 3 personas y nos hemos encontrado con un problema. El sábado dia 3 de septiembre cojemos el tren dirección Milan y no nos deja poner el intinerario en el pase. Sin embargo nos pide que añadamos un 5º viaje. Cuando compramos la reserva de asientos, el viaje de Berlin - Florencia (18:31 Berlín Hbf a 08:23 venezia y luego nos marcaba un transbordo de 08:40 a 10:39 hacia firenze) nos lo contaba como un único viaje y nos hemos encontrado que nos lo ha contado como dos viajes del pase. De hecho, antes no nos lo contaba así porque tenemos la reserva de asientos del siguiente tren con destino a milan. Que podemos hacer para poder añadir el viaje a nuestro pase?

Hi guys,I'm planning to travel from Karlstad (Sweden) to Oslo (Norway). The app tells me to buy seat reservations for both trains that I have to take. However I am unable to book the reservation for the train that enters Norway trough the interrail website. I have recently paid for seat reservation tickets but got no confirmation email afterwards, similar to many users here. I have read through the posts and the consensus is that the order did not go through, I am to wait for a refund/raise a ticket (which I have done). Another question to ask is I understood I can book for “seat only” tickets on https://www.oebb.at/ for my Venice → Rome leg. However for my Paris → Basel Sbb, I cannot seem to find a website online that I can book seat reservations for the TGV Lyria. So where else should I look? (Considering I might not want to wait till few days before the trip to buy at the physical station)I hope some of the more experienced community members here might be able to help me figure it out, thank you!
