I’ve added my mobile pass to a device I can not carry with me on my journey. Now I’m having trouble adding the mobile pass to my smart phone. Is there any possibility of adding or moreover deleting the pass from one advice and transfer it to another?
We bought 3 month passes in Switzerland, and have already used our Outbound and Inbound journeys, having travelled to UK, Belgium, Germany and Denmark before returning home. Now we want to visit Salzburg in Austria, which means leaving Switzerland again - so my question is, do we need to buy a ticket to the final station we go through in Switzerland, or to the first station we pass through in Austria? As I understand it, travel in Austria should be included in the pass.Any help welcome!Thank you in advance,John
Dear community, I hope you can help me with my question. I have a global pass and I am a German citizen. I am planning to take a night train from Zürich to Hamburg on September 22nd. The train starts at 19:59 in Zürich and will pass the German border way before midnight at 21:50 still on September 22nd. It arrives in Hamburg at 08:00 on September 23rd and I will need to take an additional train to my hometown from there. My question is: does the 22nd or 23rd count as my inbound journey day? Will I be able to take an additional train to my hometown after my arrival in Hamburg on the 23rd with my Interrail mobile pass? I am aware that I could split my travel into two legs if the train would cross the German border after midnight. However, this is not the case with this connection.I hope I made my question clear. Thanks a lot and best wishes!
HiI'm looking to book train tickets from Budapest to Munich. The DB website is cheaper than the obb website for the same railjet train. Anyone know if it's ok to buy the first class tickets on DB website and just buy business class upgrade on obb website using the seats only option? DB and MAV doesn't offer business class tickets…Thanks!
I have just purchased Eurorail global pass. I have plan to use it on September 30,2022. Can I just add my pass today without activating it? Today is August 28,2022.
We booked outbound ICE Hamburg Cologne, then TGV. They took 6 Euros for one seat. Why? It doesn’t even say so on the pricelist?
My sister and I want to go from Warschau to Budapest. And at the time we had to choose the option with 2 changes in trains. Now we saw that our first train is a direct connection with budapest. We reserved seats on the train untill breclav…Can we prolong our reservation? This so we can stop in budapest instead of breclav. Our do we have to get out at breclav?
the eurorail site continually says ' seat reservations unavailable' . I have tried many dates and times . Assistance please
Hello all,I study at Heidelberg University and am travelling home around the 17th of September to Edinburgh. I have a visa for Germany and want to use my Interrail pass as a way to visit some international friends I’ve made in Dusseldorf and such en route home.As such, I will be taking a few cases of belongings as I need to empty my Heidelberg flat. Are there are restrictions on the Eurotunnel luggage that you’ve encounter that should make me think again about using this pass as a cheaper way to scuttle around before returning home?
This is an update for those in the United States who have or will order a Eurail Global paper pass.Eurail shipped the pass to the United States in a very timely fashion after the order. It arrived in the United States on August 11. Here is where it encountered a significant delay in U.S. Customs. I recieved notification on August 26th that the parcel had cleared customs, and now is in the U.S. Postal system, which means another 4-5 days before arrival. Total transit time in this country will be 18-19 days.So my lesson learned is plan ahead early. I am still a couple of months from my travel date, and I am very glad I ordered early.Hope this helps if you are in a similar situation.
Buenas , como reservo los billetes de tren si aún no están las fechas disponibles de los trenes ??
Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well!Sooo, in a few days I will do a little surfing trip to Biarritz ( France ) from Germany ( Berlin ).I’ve just noticed that I only have 10 minutes to change the train at Bordeaux on the way back home.Since I have never used the train to travel I have some questions for this:1. Are the trains in France reliable to arrive on time?2. Can the staff on trains/train-stations speak English?3. What happens if I miss the train? I know that I am supposed to take the next one but it is mandatory to reserve seats on french trains. Can I just take the next train without reserving a seat? Do I need reserve/pay for a seat on the next train? What if the next train is fully booked?4. Same question as 3, but referred to the following train since I will miss that one too (Paris to Germany). The trains from Paris to Germany ( Frankfurt/Köln/Mannheim ) seem to be fully booked for that day. I am just worried that I won’t be able to get on the next train if i miss mi
Hi! I have my eurail and the expires date is on september 1st. Can I stil travel that day?
Hello everyone,I live in France and went to Germany to do some vacation there, I then continued my vacation with Friends (from Germany) in France. Now I am supposed to go back to Germany with my friends and finish the vacation there (and go back to my hometown in France after that). The problem is that I have no inbound days left to go back to Germany and then return home to France, because while activating my travel days, the rail planner used my inbound day on the wrong trip.I booked my entire trip on the Interrail website while being logged in, this means that the website knew which Interrail pass I had and the conditions that came with it. Because the website knew all these details, it only seemed logical that it would show me trips that are compatible with my pass or show me a warning message that tells me that there is an issue in my order. So now I can't go back home because the app (rail planner) used the inbound day on the wrong travel day. I’m supposed to take my train back hom
Basically my order seems to have disappeared from the system! My partner and I bought the interrail and the eural pass respectively, and while one has been received, there is no menrion about mine ever being shipped or being on delivery. Yesterday, when I checked there wasn't even an order on my account corresponding to mine. After I made a custom request for help, it appeared on the website, saying it has been shipped already but I have not received it!
Hi,Is it possible to book a seat reservation through the Hungarian railway website? Or are there any other options for booking it in advance? Thanks
My family of 4 (incl 2 teens) are taking the train across borders in Western Europe for the first time in November. So far, a couple of the journeys we’re researching indicate that 1 or 2 train changes are needed. Some of the routes indicate that we have just 15 mins to change trains at a certain station. These include :(i) Munich - Lucerne (8 or 12 mins at Zurich)(ii) Lucerne - Dijon (14 or 16mins at Mulhouse Ville) Qn 1 : What is a good buffer we should give ourselves to change trains ? Qn 2 : When encountering such routes, what are the alternatives without prolonging the journey too much ?Qn 3 : What is the most important thing to do (to keep to our schedule closely) if there is a missed connection using (i) the EURail pass, or (ii) single journey ticket ? Thank you.
Hi everyone!I'm trying to plan a trip from paris to switzerland for 4 days. We'll go to geneve first then to interlaken and jungfrau. Would you recommend the global pass or the swiss travel pass? And do i need to pay extra on top of the global pass when travelling from paris to geneve? Would appreciate all the help. Thanks!
I have first class global pass tickets so when I need a seat reservation they offer me both 1st and 2nd class reservation prices. So, if I choose the cheaper 2nd class reserved seat I am effectivly bumped out of first class even though my ticket/pass is 1st class. Is that the way it works ?
no puedo reservar mis asientos ayudenme viajo el 28 de agosto!
Hi everyone,I want to take the ferry from Italy (Ancona or Bari - doesn’t matter) to Igoumenitsa in Greece. Does somebody know which ferry company is included in the Interrall Global Pass? Or can I just board any ferry of any company and show my Interrail Pass and it will be accepted?Thank you! Cheers, Annabelle
Hey all, I am hoping to get a pass but I am a little confused on which to purchase. I will be traveling in Europe Between end of September and beginning of November. Does this require me to get the 3 month pass or the 2 month pass? Does the pass work from (example) August 12 - October 12; as a two month plan? Or the is the 2 months considered to be August and September only ?
If a train route requires seat reservations, do I have to purchase 2 seat reservations (one for the outbound and one for inbound)? Or does 1 seat reservation cover the entire journey?
I have downloaded the interrail app more than three months ago and have my trips etc in order. Do I have to download a newer version of the app to get a more recent planner (timetable), or do I lose all I have downloaded so far if I do? I will be leaving a few dans from now (Maybe a dumb question but I am slightly older...)
My global pass counts until monday. Is it possible to enter the night train back home on monday,? (I would only arrive on tuesday)
Ranks & badges; how do they work?
