To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more

Hi,I’ve already booked my Eurail Pass for my trip to Spain next month. Now I’m trying to book my seat reservations through Rail Europe. However, I noticed that the system never asks for my pass number. When booking, it only asks me to select the type of pass (Eurail or Interrail), and after I select Eurail Global Pass, it just asks for my ID number and personal details. Is this normal?Do they not ask for pass number?(Just want to double confirm)-For eg,this is the only details i have to include(including email+ number)
Good to know: till 22 september public transport (incl. long distance trains) are for free in the austrian region Kärnten, due to european mobility month.More information at Kärntner Linien Website www.kaerntner-linien.at/news/umsteigertage25/

Hello you all, thanks for any help. Im struggling to find about the seats reservation from Brussels Midi to Amsterdam Central. My trip will be on November 7th. At Eurail portal I find the train and show that maybe I need a reservation, when I look at the b-europe I can’t find any trains.
The Rail Planner app frustrates me immensely when planning train journeys through Italy. I can barely plan anything. For example, I want to travel from Ravenna to Rimini. The planner says there's only one train per day to Rimini at 6:08 AM, with a seat reservation (€15). If I disable seat reservations, the planner claims it's not possible to travel from Ravenna to Rimini without a seat reservation. Yet, I know from a question I asked AI that there are 12 trains per day from Ravenna to Rimini for only €6 per trip!I assume you can travel on local trains in Italy with the Interrail Global Pass (7 travel days per month). My question: do you also use the Rail Planner app as a journey planner, or is it better to use a different app for trip planning? Thanks!
I have a Global Pass with a fully planned trip in the Railplanner app on my smartphone. I acquired it on 30/03/2025. The trip starts 13/09/2025.I get notifications in the Railplanner that I have to start planning a trip to keep my Pass active. They came in various shapes. Today I got one saying “Tomorrow is a travel day, but you haven’t added any journeys to your Pass yet.”In the app, I can see the Trip with all the travel days and journeys with all the train information; for each leg, I can see the check-box colored yellow and in the rightmost position. It seems like an Interrail central database is not aware of the information in my Railplanner app. When I login to my account on the interrail website, I can see my pass but no trip. I could recreate it there but I don’t want to do that because it is not clear to me if and how the data there is synchronized with the data in my smartphone Railplanner app.Interrail seems to be aware that I will be traveling on 14/09/2025 but it does not s
I have reserved seats for my journey on an Avanti West Coast train through the ACP Rail website, but there wasn't a booking reference space where I could enter my pass number?Does anyone know how you can claim the train tickets for the journey (if needed), or do you simply show your eurail pass when asked for your ticket, when on the train?
I am going to buy a Global Flexi Eurail pass and will activate just before use as suggested. Travel date will be 14 April 24.My question is that I want to book my ticket a couple of months out from use but it then needs to be paid for. Problem is that I won’t be activating until the day of?How do you get around this please?Very confusing and can’t find an answer anywhere?Hope you can help fellow travellers or Eurail Help Team.Thank you.
I'd like to travel from Rome to London. So that we can take a ferry or a plane to Ireland and but I'd like to travel through Switzerland just to see the area and get a hotel. Somewhere near a train station obviously. Any help is appreciated. We've never done the train system before.10 day rail pass. 30 days on vacation2 cruises to and from Florida USA
Good day fellow travellers. I am Danie from South Africa. I will be travelling in Europe for the first time since 2007. It is thus challenging but also exciting prospect since so much has changed since then. I hope you will indulge in all my concerns and questions. I will travel Europe and the UK in October extensively with a month long Global Eurail first class pass. I will probably create different numbered trips to keep things from getting out of hand. I am much looking forward to your advice and tips. Have a great one!
I was booking trenitalia euro city train from Geneva to venice, and the 2nd class tickets were sold out. I then bought the 2nd class priority seats. Is this an issue? Does this have any specific requirements?
In the mobile app, I have two passes (one for me, one for my wife). It is a 5 day flex pass. We have 5 different trips between cities. Should I create one trip in the app and add each of the city trips to that or should I create a separate trip in the app for each city trip? Also, I notice I have to duplicate trips and add to the other pass. When I reserve seats, how will my wife and I be assured to sit together? Thanks for your help.
If I buy a EURail 30 day pass would it include the city public transport for example the city underground, busses and tram transport
Hi all, I’m using the Bahn.com train planner as I find it always the most accurate. For trains in Italy with an “FR” code eg. FR9811, which I assume is Frecciarossa, Bahn.com shows them all with the message “No seats are available for reservation” in the journey information. As they *all* show this message, I assume that it doesn’t mean that there are no seats (ie. all the trains are 100% full). Does it just mean that the Bahn.com site can’t reserve seats? If so, how can I get a seat reservation with an Interrail pass? Thanks very much for any info.
If I do not catch a connecting train (because of delay of the train before) and that train was the last train of the day, what exactly is the policy there? I get that talking to train staff is generally the best option but as I’ve also encountered sitations in which the delayed train was not staffed and there was also no station staff present anymore, who is responsible for refunding expenses like a hotel that became necessary (not talking about this specific incident but rather about handling situations like this in general)? Interrail or the operator of the delayed train? And how can the journey be continued next day, as the previos travel day already became invalid?
I can’t figure out how to change a first class reservation in Sweden— Same itinerary just one day earlier. SJ has said since I booked through Eurail, I need to do the change through your Eurail. But even though I see Eurail’s policy is that a first class reservation can be changed in Sweden, when I go to the Eurail site it says no you can’t change your reservation. I believe the site does not recognize that my tickets are first class. Can anyone help me?
We activated our pass for 9/8/2025 that’s good until 11/08/25, how come it’s not working for us? And the error is that the pass has been used? And how to we reserve seats?
My trip does not let me book from London to Wales. Had to do it by hand
Good news, but Interrail doesn't tel about it on ther site. By buying a mobile-pass, travellers can get - depended in which country he/she lives - get more inbound/outbound days. For the Netherlands it handles about 3 days. Ideally for who want to go back to home in-between (marriage/funeral in the family, the need to take a mid-term look at how things are going at home and don't forget: very few employers give his employees continious time-off for 2-3 months. But I'm not 100% contant. I still wonder or Eurail-group realise that much people want to break up their long trip into 2-3 parts, to come return home in between to look for post, or something-else which would be necessary to do!), so all these people want to use more Inbound-.Outbound-options.Does EUrail-group already have talked with the European-Railway-countries about developing a construction which offers options, to buy extra inbound-/outbound-tokens for a small-price f.i. 15-20 Euros each day (depending-off the pass they ha
Hello all, I am currently on a three-months Interrail pass, which I am using for several return trips outside of my home country (Italy). I am not staying on the road for the whole three months, so I will need more than the one inbound and one outbound trip that are included with the pass.Basically for every trip I buy regular tickets from home to the border and back, and once I am outside of Italy I use the Interrail pass. It is a very flexible way of travelling that suits me.But there’s one thing that is really unclear. Actually I am quite a veteran of Interrail passes, and in all these years of asking hundreds of train conductors I was never able to get a definitive answer.I need to know if, for trips out of Italy (my country of residence) into Austria, I need to buy a ticket to Brenner (and from there onwards use the interrail pass) or to Innsbruck (or it could be the first town in Austria, but for these trips I’m using EC trains that call at Brenner and Innsbruck).I guess that tec
There is change bus on my route from Berlin to Prague. It’s my first time traveling, is 30 minutes enough for me to look for the connecting bus? If I miss the connecting bus, what do I do?
Hi, the first Train of my interrail trip got canceled due to flooding, so all my trip and booked seats are now obsolete. How can the trip can be changed so that I can leave as soon as possible without paying more ?Do I need to book everything again or can the whole trip can just be "moved" to the next similar one without me having to book all over again ?
Hello. We are coming back from Naples to Strasbourg and meant to be going from Strasbourg to Paris on the 10th September but worried as there is a planned strike there won’t be any trains. We contacted Interail and they didn’t even know about this strike so wondered if anyone else knew about it?
