To ask all about our Passes, reservations & more

I understand that you can have 2 in/out journeys within the total range of the validity of hte pass. I have chosen to use those for the first of 3 journeys. I have Eurostar reservations for all 3 journeys. This is what the journeys look like in my pass. They are all part of my single over-arching totally comprehensive trip. Note that the 3rd journey doesn’t have the little yellow-orange thing lit up. I can’t make it light up because it keeps nagging me about the ‘in/out’ journey thing. I thought the in-out thing applied to my Leeds-StPancras bit, not the whole Eurostar thing. Since there’s an option everywhere to ‘add another journey’, am I right in thinking that the lack of the little yellow thing on the 3rd journey doesn’t matter?? Sorry to be obsessed, but the last thing I need is to turn up and have to buy a £200 Eurostar ticket!
Hi,I am an Indian citizen studying in Germany and have a German residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel) issued for the duration of my study period. Do I prchase Eurail or Interail pass since I have a non-EU nationality but have a residence permit from a EU country.
I made seat reservations through OBB and our plans have changed. While the reservations are non-refundable, I would like to cancel them so the seats can be released for other people to use. Is this possible? I can’t seem to find a way on the OBB site.
I have now decided that I’m never buying Interrail ticket again. Terms and conditions of how the app itself work are not communicated clearly for people traveling for the first time, like me.It has never been mentioned to me and I have never been aware the Global pass functions on a principle that includes only 1 outbound and 1 inbound journey. That means all trips you make and travel days that are connected need to be connected with each other in order for you to use it. I have been the whole time in understanding that the 4 trips in 1 month mean that I can travel where I want 2 times (from my home country and back to it and that all 2 times). Apparently Interrail doesn’t function like that.I wanted to organize a trip to Paris from Berlin now, but the system refused to issue me the ticket with a warning: “No outbound/inbound journeys left”.My questions are the following:What do I now do with my Interrail Global pass, I have 2 days left? Are they now wasted and not usable?! What did I b
Hello!I am going to take the train from copenhagen to Barcelona to a conference, as part of this route, I had a sleeping compartment in a couchette from Hamburg to Basel Sbb. however, Öbb have not been able to secure enough couchette cars, so instead of a couchette I am offered a seat for the journey, and a partial refund. I think this is going to be a bit of a problem for me, since I am not sure I will be able to sleep in a seating carriage. any ideas what I can do instead? I have already booked the entire journey to Barcelona and back, and I dont think I can refund the travel and take the plane. Thanks in advance!
Myself, wife and kiddo are going to Paris, Switzerland and Belgium for a total of 8 days. Train from Paris to bern is about 500 total which seems about same price as a rail card for “4 days in a month.” I don’t understand what that even means. What do y’all recommend getting? Rail card or just booking as we go?
Welches Ticket brauche ich um von Hamburg nach London zu Fahren ?
Hello everyone,I am new here and start my first journey with the GlobalPass in a few days.In the Rail Planner app I looked for my train connections. Unfortunately, some stations or even ferry connections are not displayed.Question 1: In this case, do I use the manual travel input in the app?Question 2: My ticket is then valid for the manually entered trip? What happens if I need reservations for the connection?Question 3: Where can I find information about which ferries I can use with my ticket? E.g. Zadar (station is not displayed in App) to AnconaQuestion 4: Are buses also included in the ticket?Thank you very much for your support!!! I am looking forward to your answers. Many greetingsHella
HeyI bought a 4 days Greek Island pass. I just booked my 2nd ferry (we take this on the 5th of september) & 3th ferry (we take this on the 7th of september) at the site of Blue Star Ferries. I still hesitate about the hours for my first ferry (we take this on the 3th of september), but I'm planning to book this within a few days. Now I read at the site that you have to book the ferry's in the order you take them. Is what I do wrong? What can I do to fix this?
Hi guys,Please help!I’m a German living in Australia for four years now. My husband (Aussie) and I will be visiting Germany (we fly out tomorrow actually!!) and we have booked Eurail tickets. Country of residence - Australia Country of passport - GermanI do not have an Australian Passport yet and I am unsure whether or not I should use my Australian Driver Licence or Australian Photo Card or Australian visa OR my European passport to activate my pass?I was hoping I could use my Aus Driver Licence - being German (and knowing German bureaucracy) I can see myself getting into trouble if I use my German Passport for Eurail in Germany (Address also hasn’t been updated yet on my passport yet, whops) or if I print out my Aus Visa as a “legal ID doc”, I am concerned that this will be strange for the ticket inspector as well (it is in English also and may cause confusion)Can I use my Driver Licence and produce Aus Visa etc when asked for as proof of residence?Any advice please highly appreciate
I've been trying to book reservations for weeks.. I've checked with Renfe and the train is running but it does not appear on the eurail timetable. Travelling san sebastian-Vitoria Gasteiz-vigo.. not travelling via Madrid...what's going on???I have an interail pass, planning on travelling to Portugal for a few weeks in September
This is seemingly such a ridiculous question but for whatever reason, I can not get a call through to scnf to make a seat reservation. I have a SIM card and my calls in portugal have gone through no problem. Does anyone have any advice for me? Is this used error or is it impossible to reach them?
Hi, i want to travel to Italy and i am not sure if the global pass is valid for the starting country, in my case germany.can someone answer this question. Thanks in advance
Hello,Slightly confused about two things, if someone can help..First, I see posts from 9-10 months ago saying how you need to reserve a ferry ticket through email. Is this still true in 2022? There are online ferry websites of companies that cover the pass that offer tickets where you can enter a discount if you have Interrail pass, directly while buying the ferry ticket (like 20-30%). However, I didn’t see the option for the travel day pass discount. Also if someone can answer, this page here says that the 4-day travel pass only cover “Four FREE domestic trips” for Blue Star Ferries, not 4 days. I’m not sure which is true, or if I’m reading it wrong or if it’s a typo.
I accidentally used my outbound ticket for a trainthat already left the station one hour ago, I meant to use it for the train that goes tomorrow. It was not possible to cancel this ticket, can this be put on the train for tomorrow in stead of the one that I’m not on?
I’m trying to make reservations for a sleeper berth on this train, but although Interrrail shows a range of options with prices, and lets me add them to my cart, it then has an error when I get as far as ‘review your order’ and says this leg is no longer available. I’ve also looked at OBB and DB websites and both show no reservations available - I can’t tell whether this is because these trains are booked out, or because they’re not actually available to buy online.
If you miss the last connecting train due to a delay of the previous train: Who reimburses the accommodation costs in the City you stranded? Could you continue the journey the next morning wirhout using another Travel day?thank you, hanna
On which routes in Italy can I use the Eurail ?
I will be travelling with another person (but not for a few months). I want to add that person to my trip on the app, but their pass isn’t added to the app because we don’t always want to travel together. But I can’t work out how to do it - the only person I can add to my trip on the app is me. I know it can be done quite easily on the website at interrail.eu, but how to do it on the app? Also I set up a test trip on the website (and added me and my fellow traveller) but it didn’t show up on the app, so they don’t seem to coordinate.
To all those who ask the question "what happens if I get onto a train with no reservation if it is mandatory".Currently on EC84 Bologna to Munich. A couple with passes but no reservation told to pay full fare or get off. No argument and no offer to allow retrospective reservation.Pay or get off. Two travellers now currently stranded in the Brenner Pass.
Hi everybody;Yesterday my phone broke apart and I had to buy a new one. Reading here on the community I've found that in order to use my pass on another device the Eurail team has to deactivate it from my other phone:At the moment I'm travelling, I'm on a bus and I have to catch a train where I booked a seat at 12:40, I desperately need my pass for that time. I've filed since yesterday to this morning 3 help request, two via the app and one via the website. I hope to have everything in order for that time or I'm going to be in big troubles! Thanks in advance for everything,Carlo
Hello,I want to buy a 3 day Ticket for Switzerland. It's supposed to be a present so the ticket will not be used before July 2023. However, I did not find any information on how long a paper based interrail Ticket is valid after purchase? Is it possible to buy it today and then has it in summer next year after July 2023? Can you help me out? Thanks!
Hi, I’ve sent an e-mail more than 2 weeks ago about my trip to Barcelona and probably ‘ve bought the wrong pass. Besides a confirmation of receiving my e-mail I still haven’t received an answer. By now I’ve also bought a global pass cause I thought at least than I can book my trainseats. But now still the texts ‘not available for some travellers’ and ‘pass not valid ‘ appear. So by now I have spent €440,- on passes and almost 3 weeks on searching, emailing and waiting and I still don’t have the traintickets I need (Nijmegen - Barcelona ) and vice versa. Can someone help me out? How on earth do I reach Interrails customer service??
I want to travel from Paris to Ljubljana, and this requires a change at Zuerich HB. The transfer time is only 15 minutes, and this worries me because I have not been to the station before and do not know how often the TGB Duplex Lyria experiences delays. I am worried also because the connecting train is a night train (Euro Night), so it feels important to arrive on it promptly. If you have been to Zuerich HB before, do you think 15 minutes would be long enough to transfer? If you have been on the TGV Duplex Lyria before, do you think it likely for this train to arrive to Zuerich HB later than scheduled?Alternatively, I could reserve seats to get to Zuerich HB 4 hours earlier, and explore near the station if there are any attractions nearby. Thanks in advance!14 minutes to change trains in Zuerich HB station
