Hi everyone,I’m Simone from Italy and I’ll be an Interrailer within two weeks, I can’t wait to start my adventure but I still have an issue with the night trains. I bought a Flexi pass so I don’t want any charge or even worse to lose a travel day. I want to reach Copenhagen from Munich (Germany) on July 21st. I’ve found a one change route which begins at 16.55 in Munich, arrives in Hamburg at 23.33, after waiting 20 mins I’ll get on a train which departure is scheduled at 23.56 then, without getting off the train, I’ll be in Copenhagen at 6.55 the next day. Does this route count as two days or does it count as one day? Further, if it will be a one day, what happens if the train in Hamburg will depart after midnight?Thank you all for the support,Simone

Hi! Hope this isn’t too appallingly annoying a first post on the forum! I love Interrail but have a major ticketing/reservations query. From posts on this website - a lot of them - and my own personal experience over the last many months, there seems to be something pathologically wrong with the availability of crossborder trains between Germany and France, like say the TGV 9552 or literally all of the others. Without a phone call to a reservations office - which I know is part and parcel of Interrail life but still a fair hurdle against easy use on such an important route - it is impossible to book these except at a railway station. It is completely impossible to book them online via DB or the Eurail.com system. This should not be the case because availability does exist.  Is there any way to resolve this in discussion with DB/SNCF, or to ask SNCB to expand the list of permitted stations in their online booking applet for Interrail passes? It seems like a minor technical fault which c

Bonjour,Hier, le 05/07 j’ai réservé deux trajets sur le site. Je voyage avec deux amies qui ont elles réservées sans problème. Or pour ma part j’ai eu le droit à un problème technique m’empêchant d’avoir mes places pour mes deux réservations. Dans le mails le service client précise que ma réservation est valide et qu’ils devraient résoudre le problème. Ils précisent également que je peux aussi me faire rembourser si mon voyage approche en répondant au mail et que je peux leur poser des questions en réponse au mail. Un peu sceptique et consciente que mes trains sont bientôt pleins, je leur ai envoyé un mail pour leur demander quand le problème sera résolu et s’il est sûr que j’ai bien une place dans ces trains. Mais pas de réponses. Je me stresse peut être un peu vite. Mais je voudrais savoir si cela est déjà arrivé à quelqu’un et si la commande a bien aboutie pour vous. D’autant plus que les trains réservés sont maintenant pleins. Merci d’avance,Axelle N

Hello train friendsHow can I make sure I'll still be able to make reservations on the following trajects? Brussels- Chambéry on July 22, preferably departure at 8 am Chambéry - Genova on July 23, arrival imperative before 7 pm  It seems impossible to check free spots without a pass number, is this indeed the case?Worst case I'll have to buy single tickets. Hi! I'm planning on Interrailing through Italy this summer. I've already bought a Global Pass 7 days. I want to visit the following places (though I'm planning on taking it day by day, so might skip a few):Utrecht (Netherlands) >Milan >Cinque Terre >Florence (via Pisa) >Rome >Naples (with day trips to Sorrento/Pompeii/Amalfi coast) >Sicily >Back to Utrecht via Siena/Bologna I have a few questions about this:Is the trip to Sicily (train + ferry) covered by the Interrail Pass? And do I book this through Trenitalia? Can I take the ferry to Sicily from Naples? And what city in Sicily is best to ferry to?  I think I'd want to buy some seperate tickets on regional trains to save travel days. Do I book this through Trenitalia?

Im travelling from Vienna to Venice on the 24th of July (around 6am) and im having a lot of issues because the app and the reservation website show different trains. Here is my conversation with the community. I kept reading and i found out that i should just go on the OBB website and book a train there. However on the website it gives me 2 options to look for in a ticket after i say that I own an interrail ticket. when i say i just want a seat reservation it costs 6€. When i buy the one way ticket its 20€ (im buying 2 tickets btw). My question is if I need to buy the ticket aswell or does the interrail ticket cover that, and if it does, how do i get a confirmation or something i could show to a ticket inspector on the train?  

How do I get from Amsterdam Airport AMS to the train station traveling through Germany

I want to book a journey from Germany to England, using ICE trains in Germany and a Eurostar to travel to England. As ICEs are often delayed, I wondered what would happen if I miss the Eurostar due to a delay of the ICE before.Does my seat reservation then count for the next train or what would I have to do?Thanks for help!

Hello all, According with the EU Passenters Rights (1370/2007), the taveller has the choice to cancel, or abort the trip if the delayment will be minimum of 60 minutes (before, or during the trip). In this case the price of the ticket will be refunded for 100% (other-said: the double of the refund when the dalayment would be 120 minutes). Which Refund will Eurail give, if a trip will be aborted due to the above-called case? Examples: 1: The Night-Train Paris-Wien was cancelled and no replacement-train, or bus was set in to bring the traveller to his destination? Traveller has decided to cancel his trip to Vienna. 2: The train from Innsbruck to Zürich was too late and connected-train in Sargans could not be reached,, next train starts 60 Minutes later and will be 60 minutes later in Arosa, so the trip to Arosa became due to the 60 Minutes delayment useless and traveller decided to break-up the trip in Sargans and travels with the samne train further to Zürich, instead of Arosa. I hope you guys can help me!If I have 3 connecting trains on my trip from Aarhus (DK) - Warszawa (PL), (Aarhus - Hamburg, Hamburg - Berlin, Berlin - Warszawa) the same day, will they count as 1 travel day?And how do I write it down in my pass? (I would love to see an example) Do I write every single journey and connecting train or just Aarhus - Warszawa?Do you prefer the mobile pass or the paper pass? (I haven’t bought one yet, but I need to decide soon)How does it work with one in- and outbound day for your home country? Hello,I have tweo questions regarding the interrail global pass:My primary country of residency is Germany, however, I am also registered in the Netherlands as my second country of residency. Does my first country of residency count as my home country that I can only travel twice, or can I choose which one counts? If Germany counts as my country of residency and I want to travel from France to Poland, or from Switzerland to the Netherlands, can I travel through Germany (if it happens in one day and I do not stop in Germany)? Or do I have to take routes that avoid Germany? Because I obviously use my two travel days in order to leave Germany in the first place and then in order to go back once my travelling is done.Thank you so much for the answer!

I live in Germany and I would like to know if I can use Interrail global pass valid for 3 months to go back and forth from Germany to France, to Italy, to Switzerland etc. For instance, I travel on Monday from Berlin to France and return to Berlin on Tuesday. Then I decide to travel again on Wednesday from Berlin to Milan and return to Berlin on Thursday. Then I travel again on Saturday from Berlin to Zurich and return to Berlin on Sunday.

HiThe day before yesterday I bought a mobile Interrail Benelux Pass because I want to travel from Belgium (my country of residence) to the Netherlands 3x in the upcoming 4 weeks. I'm a Belgian Citizen.I activated my pass like the instructions said (so it has a beginning and end date) but when I wanted to add my journey from Gavere (BE) to Breda (NL) and back, yesterday, I was not able to. The error message said my pass was not available in some of these countries.  App = Rail Planner.So I had to buy another expensive ticket.I really don't understand why I can't use my pass.So now my pass is useless and I cannot apply for a refund because it’s activated.I hope there is a solution so it’s not money down the drain.What I want is to travel from Belgium (country where I live) to The Netherlands a couple of times.Thanks for helping my out here and suggesting a good solution.Have a great day,Tanja

So basically, with an interrail pass, can you reserve a private coupe for the night train from Sweden to Berlin? Will there be additional costs to that?

Hello Interrail!I wanted to show my parents that Interrail is fun and flexible. Unfortunately we are not able to make a reservation for the eurostar from London to Bruxelles next wednesday. Furthermore I was not able to find the website for reservations for the stena line ferry. So they are about to make a refund of our passes and buy a flight ticket. Is there some way you can help me? I really wanted to show them that trains are better than flights... I would be very grateful if you could give me a fast answer. Greetings,Caroline

Hi. I really need your help. I bought 5day pass for me and my friend. And later we realized it is not enough and we need a 7day pass. But we are travelling this sunday. And i don´t know what to do. If i should buy a new one and request an exchange or just ask for refund for the old one. How long does it take to exchange the passes? Or how much sure can i be that they will refund my old pass? Please helpppppp!

I read that reservations involving paper tickets, which is the case, may take up to 5 days to be processed. Hello once again It's my first day using the 3-day pass and I wanted to know if I could change one of the trains of my trip to one earlier. I had a reservation for the one I chose first but this one doesn't need any reservation. So i just changed on the apo but the other one still appears on my trip. Can i go on the one I chose today or will I be in trouble?(I'm in Italy by the way)
