Get ready to travel

Hi,I'm starting my interrail trip in Paris and I fly into Beauvais. My first train will be from the Beauvais train station to Gare du Nord on a TER train. I assumed this service did not need a seat reservation. However, I've seen some stuff lately that said TER trains going to/from Paris need seat reservations. I was just wondering if anybody has done this trip in the past and has any tips for me before I depart.Thanks,Jack.

Hey everyone,  I've booked this trip but both of these trains say seat reservations required but I cannot book any seats. It says N/A. What to do? 

Hi, I bought an interrail pass on my computer, bought seat reservations on my computer, downloaded the app on my phone, activated the interrail pass on the app, but I can't see the seat reservations/ booked journeys on the app. How do I get my journeys (which I've paid for and have the email receipt) on the app??

Trying to get a train from Paris to Spiez, Switzerland on July 21st for 2 people. I have a 3 month eurail pass. Are they serious about these prices?! $374 total?!  Also, when I try booking the site messes up every time and take me back to the homepage and never lets me complete purchase. Help! 

I was booking seat reservations for my trip from Oslo to Copenhagen but when i proceeded to checkout, filled out the billing information and then tried to move on to contact information the site threw me back to the start page for eurail. The train leaves in only a few hours.

Hello,I have purchased two global passes for two travellers and have been attempting to book a reservation for a few hours now.When trying to reserve a seat on ICE9553 from Paris to Saarbruecken. After selecting the reservation type and entering my contact info, I am prompted to “add traveller details”. However, clicking this button just redirects me to the eurail homepage. I have tried this in three difference browsers.The support section on the eurail site is extremely unhelpful and I feel like I’ve been ripped-off.Can someone help?

Hello, I have purchased a mobile interrail pass few weeks back for a trip in may/june and I realise just now that the country of residence is France. I am french but I live in Sweden and would start my trip from there.Can you manage to change it by any chance? I plan on doing my first trip on May 12th.Thanks a lot

Hello, I have a mobile global pass and need the pass holder number to book reservation straight with the train website.

I initially put in the 6th July as my start travel date but then changed it to 5th July. Now I am trying to book seat reservations for a trip I’d like to take on 5 July and the page keeps coming up with ‘Your pass is not valid on this day’. How can I make the system realise I’ve changed my travel date so I can reserve the seats?!

Hello everybody,I wanted some clarification on the rules of night trains.I have a flexi 7 days on a month Global pass and I plan to take a trip Berlin - Amsterdam starting early in the morning, visit Amsterdam quickly and on the same day in the evening before midnight, go elsewhere.As long as you take the train that leaves Amsterdam in the evening before midnight (with a seat reservation obv), without changing trains, are there any limits on the arrival time the next day?Obviously intended using only one travel day.This is because I would like to avoid using two days of travel and take advantage of the departure before midnight.Could you please tell me something more about?THANKSS!!

Hello!When I search for Prague - Liberec in the Rail Planner app it tells me “Not in pass network”. When I search in the seat reservation search, it tells me no seat reservation is required and that I’m ready to board.How can I know which of these are correct? See images below where search results are shown from both places, the same departure, but with the difference described above.Kind regardsPatrik Stenmark

As a resident of the UK I appreciate an Interrail Global pass allows one day usage from the UK and one back. However as we live in the north that would entail an early start to London and then an afternoon Eurostar to Paris/Brussels. Although theoretically a further jump on an evening TGV or ICE could be achieved, that is not appealing. So we plan to utilise “cheap” flights to connect with continental rail points. It seems somewhat expensive with Eurostar and TGV booking fees.With a 10 day in 2 months first class pass we plan to split it into 2 trips.One flying to Catania, a couple of nights in Syracuse, train to Salerno, next day to Bologna for 2 nights, then through alps to Nuremberg for a few nights then back via Brussels.The second, 4 weeks later, is planned as flight to Nice for 2 nights in Monaco/Beausoleil, across to Venice for 2 nights, through the Alps to Vienna for a couple of days. Then on to Prague for a couple of nights before a flight home.Are these realistic itineraries?

Hi guys!We wanted to start on August 20 from Munich Hbf. to Paris Est, but seat reservation is only possible from France (Strasbourg). For the train from Munich, the message "It looks like parts of this journey can't be booked with us even though they require reservations." always appears. However, the train can also not be reserved via Deutsche Bahn, neither online nor at the counter. So do you not need a reservation for the TGV for the German section of the route? Thanks for your help! 

I have already made seat reservations for 2 trains but want to shorten my Eurail pass from 7 to 4 days of travel, will I lose seat reservations?

I am trying to book a seat reservation from Paris to Venice. However, my screen does not move forward to traveller’s detail. Please help me 

I will be traveling in the next weeks in Austria (I am from Canada, dont realy know how trains work). I want to know if I need to book train tickets right now or just a few days before travelling is ok. Also do I need to reserve seats ? I find information online that it should not be required but it is all pre-covid and I want to make sure it’s still valid. I will be doing Wien to Schladming 13 of July, Schladming to Innsbruck 16 of july and Innsbruck to Langem am Arlberg 18 of july. Thanks !

I have made a reservation for amsterdam berlin, I have filled in billing details and now want to click through to ‘continue to travelers details’.  But that does not work the button does not respond.

Hello! I actived my Interrail pass today and started the outbound travel, but when I want to get my train tickets, they don’t show up, even though my travel is “actived”. Can someone help me or has had a similar problem???

Hi, we are currently on day 1 of our 1 month interrail pass but on one of our mobile passes, whilst the journeys are showing up in the 'my trip' section, when we go into 'my pass' to see the ticket it doesn't recognize that we've booked a journey and no QR code is showing. We've emailed interrail but wondered if anyone had advice to fix it as we need it for July 4th. Thanks, Matthew.

trying to book a seat reservation on 6th of july from zurich to frauenfeld that takes 36 minutes. On the interrail app, it doesn’t say seat reservation is needed but when I am on the website and also when I check sbb.ch, it says “ seat reservation not possible”. Does anyone know what it means?Does it mean I don’t have to reserve a seat for that train?

Hi! My husband and I just bought the mobile eurail pass. Can our e-tickets be printed at the train stations across Europe or can they only be printed at home? We’re staying in Airbnb’s, so we don’t have access to at home printers. Thank you in advance for your advice :)

I have a Global Pass for 1 month. If I want to board on trains that do not require seat reservation, do I need to book the trains/buy tickets ? Or can I just board the trains and show my Global Pass as a ticket if checks are made ?

The form keep saying that my Paper Pass ID is not good (both on mobile app and web site) but I check it many times, I am entering I (or i) and 8 digits and YES i selected paper pass. Please be kind and make your app works like it should.
