Hi, I hope you're doing well. I'm writing to ask for assistance with booking seat reservations for my Interrail journey. I already have my Interrail Pass, but I’m finding it difficult to book seats because it gets stuck loading. Does anyone know how to fix this?
From what I have read, it looks like you can only book a private compartment on the French sleeper (couchette, really) trains if you buy tickets directly and not if you buy using a pass discount.Or, to put it another way, if you book with an Interrail pass you have no choice but to be in a shared compartment. This post indicates you can/might be able to book by calling SNCF, but it’s a year old and things change. Can anyone advise if you can book a private compartment over the phone? My train dates aren’t on the system yet so I don’t think ringing SNCF to buy a hypothetical ticket will end well.Is there is any other way to ensure a private compartment? And finally . . . is this just something the booking engine can’t support, but SNCF can, or is it just a programming/loading oversight?
We are hoping to limit the number of phones we have with us and I’m wondering if we can load two passes on one device. Also, how do we upload child passes?
HiWe are currently planning a trip that includes a long day from Munich, Germany to Newcastle, UK. (Munich to Paris by ICE / Eurostar Paris to London / LNER train to Newcastle)In theory this is very doable with the correct allowances made for connections etc… ...however I am concerned what happens if a train is delayed to the point that we would need to continue on the following day.I’m not too concerned if the ICE causes us to miss the Eurostar as I know they are typically pretty good with this, it’s more that final trip from London to Newcastle. Say we are delayed such that we end up on a train that arrives into London on the Saturday after the last train to Newcastle has departed my understanding is that we would then require a hotel and a train on the Sunday. The two key questions are:What are we entitled to in this situation? How does one prove /obtain that entitlement?
I’m about to buy my first interrail pass: 15 days and I will travel during one month in Eastern Europe. Would you say it’s worth to spend about 100 euros extra for a first class pass? I might be traveling alone so could it also feel a bit safer?

End of July, I’m traveling from Germany to Sicily, so far, so good. For my way back, 12th of August 2025, I would like to take the Inter City Notte from Milazzo to Milano. Somehow, there is no possibility yet to get seat reservations in August. Is there a problem with the railway or is it just too early to book? Thank you :)
The seat reservations in shopping cart have expired and can’t be removed. Have accumulated an unwanted amount in cart. How do you empty shopping cart?
Hello everyone! I purchased a Eurail pass and booked seat reservations from London to Amsterdam a week ago with no problems. I am now trying to book seat reservations from Amsterdam to Warsaw. I was able to secure the seat reservations from Amsterdam to Berlin, but when I go to book them from Berlin to Warsaw, it gives me the following message: “No longer available. This seat reservation is only available as paper ticket and can't be delivered to you in time. Try booking in person at the station.” My main concern with this is that when I arrive at the Berlin station (with 2 hours in between trains) that all seat reservations will be sold out. I don’t want to spend money on actual tickets as I have gotten the pass and would like to use the seat reservations. I would appreciate help with this if anyone has had experience with the same thing in the past or has any advice that might help me! Thank you so much in advance!!
This will probably sound like a stupid question but the instructions are not clear to me.I have an electronic pass. I have set up a trip which will start in the middle of August. I have all the reservations for the journeys that require them, all but one I got from the train lines. The website and app make it seem like I need to add, somehow, all the journeys that I will be taking. I have a list that I have made with all the details-date, times, train, etc. For those journeys that don’t require a reservation do I just show the pass on my phone when I board? Thanks
Hello,I have purchased seat reservations on the Bernina Express and I am about to do the same for the Glacier Express. I chose reservation only as I will be purchasing a Eurail Global Pass very shortly and intend to use that for the ticket itself. A local travel agent has advised to book the ticket itself and link the seat reservations immediately as I risk not having a seat on my chosen travel date. I am wondering if this is correct as I was under the impression that a seat reservation was a guarantee of seat. I am reluctant to link the reservation just yet and book the ticket itself as I understand this deems my Eurail pass non-refundable as it is ‘activated’ and my trip is still some time away. Can anyone please confirm if this is correct?
Hi, everyone I would like to know if there is an Allegra unit in the Bernina Express. We are planning to do a return trip from Chur to Tirano and use the panoramic train only in one way thanks!
HelloThis July i am going on a trip with my friends, and we are boarding on normal trains for almost every destination. However, on our trip from Amsterdam to Berlin we decided to book an European Sleeper through the interrail web.Is it necessary to add that reservation to my pass or can i enter the train only by showing the ES ticked i have reserved? If it is necessary, how do I add it to a travel day? Thanks
Hi, I am struggling to find a train from Budapest to Zagreb on July 10th 2025. Would anyone be able to help me out? I tried to book one on MAV website although it came up with reservation error every time. I would appreciate any help, thanks.
Hello -My wife and I are both seniors (over 60) and we live in the United States. We are going to travel to Italy from August 18 through August 30, 2025. We want to purchase the Eurail One Country Pass for Italy for 4 days in first class. What is the current cost for this Italy 4-day first class pass for two seniors?Thank you
I have selected all my reservations, want to pay but there is always a message that my data cannot be stored, so I can not pay. How can I change that or what am I doing wrong?
Hi everyone, I’m a swiss person planning to travel around from Basel, as I live here. I know that Badischer Bahnhof counts as Germany, which is very useful. I know that Basel SBB is also on the french boarder, but unfortunately in the app there is no option to pick SBB (France). Do you know if that still works, let’s say I travel from Basel SBB to Barcelona? Or would it be helpful to just pick a trip from St.Louis to Barcelona and pay the first little bit? Thanks for your help!
Hello! I'm leaving soon on my Interrail pass. I want to take a train from Paris to Luxembourg on the morning of June 28th. But it says the information isn't available. What should I do? How do I reserve a seat? Or can I get on without a reserved seat?
HeyI'm going on my first train trip with Interrail tomorrow. I'm wondering how it works in the cities I'm going to. Can I use my Interrail pass to travel by train, bus or metro to get around the cities? The cities I'm going to are:AmsterdamParisNiceMonacoVeniceMunichPragueIf anyone knows how this works or has experience with this situation in these cities, I would appreciate any help!
Hi, I want to buy an interrail pass for the summer, but I am not sure yet, how many travel days I will need. This is why I do not want to buy a pass yet. However, I already know that I would like to travel from Brussels to London at one specific day. I read in this post https://community.eurail.com/ask-the-community-40/making-eurostar-reservations-before-buying-pass-15151?tid=15151&fid=40 that you can make seat reservations before buying a pass by entering a 8-digit random pass number. However, the website tells me that my random pass numbers are invalid and does not allow me to proceed with the booking. I also tried the pass number of an ancient pass, but it leads to the same problem.Do you know how to solve this issue ?Is there still a way of making Eurostar seat reservations before buying a pass ? Thank you in advance !Best wishes,Anne
Hello, everybody.I have a kind of “extreme scenarios” questions.I bought a global pass, 15 days within 2 months.I have some problems, and I have to split my vacation into two different periods this summer.Scenario 1:I use my inbound/outbound, but I still have left some days of travel. How does it work? Can I use them anyway within the 2 months? (Of course I need to exit and come back in my country at my expense).Scenario 2:Can I use all 15 days outside my country of residence? So, instead of counting 2 days as inbound/outbound, just use them as normal days of travel outside my country of residence?Thank you!Marco
I don't think Renfe actually post long-distance (as opposed to Cercanias) Ancho Metrico timetables *anywhere* on their website, and I wasn't having much luck googling, so in the end I emailed them about the León-Bilbao line, and they sent me this.Annoyingly I don't think it's viable for me to use this train for my own purposes (the 15 minute change at León from the daily train from Vigo/Ourense is way too tight), but hopefully anyone else wanting to can make use of this rare timetable. Not sure if the permanent replacement bus between the city centre and the Universidad stop departs from the main station or the closed FEVE station, that's a question for the next person to investigate! Also consider finding out which of potentially 3 places in León it may be possible to acquire your free ticket to access the platforms…If anyone else has any obscure FEVE timetables, tips or whatever, you're more than welcome to post below, or start a new thread if you like as I'm not sure I can change the
Why are there two times set for a train that leaves from the same station?
Since the 16th of April, Arriva Denmark calls itself “GoCollective”, since Arriva Denmark was bought of “Mutares”, a German company which tries to return the company to recognized and undisputed profitable market leaders...The question now is: Is Interrail still valid at these trains, now operated by GoCollective? Please update your information concerning the valid danish transport operators as Arriva is still named.
