Get ready to travel

I am booking a trip from Innsbruck- Ljubljana- Budapest-Vienna-Prague-Krakow-Zakopane-Warsaw. I want to book an overnight train from Prague to Krakow for sure, and potentially an overnight train from Zakopane to Warsaw. Initially when I booked my Eurail I wasn’t planning to go to Poland, so I booked a 5 day in 1 month pass (2nd class). For this new itinerary I will need 7 days in 1 month. Am I able to modify my pass and get 2 days added for an extra charge, or am I better off booking the other trains on their own?For the overnight train to Krakow from Prague it seems like the Chopin is the best choice since I would like a sleeper car and the Regiojet only has seats available. Am I able to book a sleeper car through a reservation for the overnight train to Krakow on Eurail, or is this not possible? What about for the train from Zakopane to Warsaw? Am I able to do this with a 2nd class pass? What would be the additional cost? Thank you for any information you can provide!

Good day, We are 2 travelers. Both passes are on my phone, and wevare travelling for more than a week without problems. However, now I need to book a reservation on a train, and when I want to add the second traveler, it says the surname and pass number do not match - while I copy them exactly from the app. Can anyone explain this, and please help?Thanks!

I live in the UK. What if I buy an interrail pass but then can’t get a reservation on the limited seats in the Eurostar? Is it maybe better to buy the Eurostar separately and then start the interrail pass on the continent?

I purchased a global pass for 4 people. I installed the app on my phone, but I was only able to activate my pass. Does each person need to have their own app?

Hi, I was tried to make seat reservation for my trip but unfortunately failed from apps and also Webpage keep refreshing. I went through others webpage such as ÖBB it show the Ticket not available.My trip detail: Spiez › Milano Centrale - 8:05dep ~ 10:50arr (Date: 5 Jun 2025)It show seat available in the Trenitalia webpage but I unable to book with EURAIL GLOBAL Pass for only seat reservation. 

Hi. I searched in Rail Planner found a trip detail as below:Venice S.Lucia (dep) > Rome Termini (arr)Time: 16.26 ~ 20.25The seat can not be reserve and trip is different from what I searched from Rail Europe web. In Rail Europe most of the trip shown "Rail pass doesn't apply for this trip".

If someone could shed a bit of light I would be most appreciated.   I have not activated my pass yet as we are not using until 8 May 2025.   In my trip I have London/Marseille, which is connected to a “mobile Pass” and both bookings have our names on it.   I have also added other trips on various dates that we are going to take which say “Not connected to a mobile pass”, will they be connected to my mobile pass once I activate and I make them into a journey, still trying to work that part out?   I also cannot see the details of those trips that I have created, which makes it hard to know what I have actually booked, if that makes sense.   I have never used once of these passes before.  I am sure someone will know the answer.   Thanks.

Next July i'm going to do an Interrail trip in Germany with my friends, everyone bought their own individual pass but when we book reservation for a train at same time the system that assigns seats far from each other.Is there a way to have near seats?I also view that in the home page of my presonal interrail account there is the option to add people at interrail journey, but what exactly is this function for? does it allow me to book seats close together?I hope someone can answer me, if so thank you very much  

Hello Community, so I have a question. I will travel to paris on the 20th May. If I look for a seat reservation for the train from munich at 5:50am in morning. When I want to book it direct from munich → paris  i can not book it. When I book from Munich → Karlsruhe  I can book a seat (even if i dont have to) When I book the same train from Karlsruhe → Paris , i can also book Same for raileurope etc. When I go to Bahn.de it says that this train is not going from munich at all. There it says this train starts in Karlsruhe.  Does anybody know if this train will drive from munich to karlsruhe and then to paris? 😅Thanks you :)  

Hello  This Summer i’m traveling from Kemi to Helsinki. I know reservation are Not required and can only made by calling VR and costs 25% of a Ticket. My Question is, if I wanna reserve a Single Seat in the new Ekstra Relaxed Class, is the reservation cheaper, if I have a Interrail 1. Class Pass or the Same price with a 2. Class Pass?For Example:I checked the Price of a normal Ticket on the VR WebsiteFor Eko Class is 45€, with the Upgrade to Ekstra Relaxed Single Seat is 58€I think with a 2. Class Pass I have to Play 25% of the 58€ and with a 1. Class Pass? Also 25% of the 58€ or only 25% of the 13€, the Upgrade Price? GreetingsStefanix19 

I recently purchased an Interrail pass for Italy as a French resident. I am trying to book a direct train ticket from Paris to Milan for August 18th, departing at 9:46 AM, using this pass. However, I am encountering an error message in French that states: "Un ou plusieurs Pass ne couvrent pas ce trajet. Sélectionnez les voyageurs qui disposent d’un Pass valable sur ce trajet pour pouvoir réserver."Could you please help me understand why my Interrail pass is not being accepted for this route and how I can resolve this issue?Thank you for your assistance.

Hey, i’m trying to book my trip from Biarritz to Vigo. Every train however requires a reservation that i cannot book, it just says “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”I was able to book a reservation for every other trip, but i can’t book a single one for this one. Am i too late? Is there a different way I can book reservations? Hello! I want to travel to Italy with the One Country Pass. I've just read that the pass is only valid on trains within Italy. Does that mean I have to pay for a separate private train ticket for a train journey from Germany to Italy? Thanks for your help!

Hi, I'm travelling with my partner and we want to go from Bari to Milano on the evening of 1st of May. There are two lines with direct night trains leaving at around 21.00 from Bari which is perfect. However I can't seem to be able to reserve the 2p sleeper, only spaces in 4p couchette, which is not preferable for us. I have tried through app.italiarail.com but can't get it to work. Booking without Interrail ticket seems to work though, so I believe there are still beds available.  Would really appreciate some help or advice!  

I would like to make reservation for next week on a fast train from Madrid to Cordoba. Do I need to book in person? 

I am trying to make bookings for a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children (under 12) for a trip from Oslo S to Bodoe via Trondheim. I was given to understand that RegionTog trains offer free reservation for First Class holders and that's what I was trying to do. But the App does not give any option for entering the Eurail pass. Also need a clarification, whether Night trains also offer any such free reservation for First Class pass holders? Thanks in advance for your time. 

I am looking for routes in Spain from Zaragoza to Vigo. (July)I can find the routes using other travel sites - even with Renfe trains but not through the Eurail site.  I have tried breaking the trip into segments and still no luck.Any tips or tricks?

HelloI booked a reservation a few months back via DB for the EC56 from Krakow Gl to  Berlin HBF. But now when I check the Eurail app/ site, that train isn’t listed. I have the Eurail 1st class global pass.How can I check that my pass is valid on that direct train?CheersJon

I would like to travel only in France. So I would like to buy a three days pass for France. There is a border in Geneva where we can only take trains to go to France.  As we have to cross a border, I wonder if this part of the station is considered as Switzerland or already France? Thank you

Hi, I’ve been on the https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/ for about an hour trying to plan a trip from Wales to Stuttgart. The journey requires 3-4 high speed trains. The trouble is - everytime I check seat reservation on this route, it says “sold out”. This is recurrent on every train I’ve searched across multiple dates. The route uses UK train (Avanti), eurostar, TGV and DB (or can avoid TGV if you go via Brussels. It’s just so odd that every single train across every single time period is sold out. I’m searching at the beginning of the summer holidays (late july, early August), but I can’t believe this is the case 3 months before departure. Is there something I’m missing? I haven’t used interrail for 5+ years, has it got really popular in the meantime?!

I would like to travel 11. august 2025 from Vienna to La Specia. Right now, I cannot see possibility to book a ticket in the train. I would like to be sure that this train will be really operated on this date. I can see only trains to Milan or to Roma. Could you please make me sure that this train is planned for the summer and from whitch date it will be possible to book a ticket for my travel.The connection is possible to book now, till 29.may.2025 later, it is written, that cannot be booked. Im trying to to book a train from Barcelona to Spain (Valencia) the first part of the train has available seat reservations but the second part of the trip does not. It says No price results were found.When I Click for more info it also says the service doesn't run everyday which includes my travel day 28th.Am I trying to book too far in advance? The Trip is for 28th June.  This is the trip Im looking at 

How I hate Interrail and I haven’t even started yet, so confused and think it would have been better and maybe cheaper to have bought tickets directly. Anyhow I want to go from Paris to Barcelona by TGV but it looks like I can make a seat reservation (expensive!) but can’t even choose my seat, really would like a window seat. can I get a seat reservation directly from SNCF or do they only sell tickets? Is there a cheaper train to Barcelona or one that doesn’t ned a seat reservation or one where I can choose my seat?many thanks

I have booked a 8 day pass and I have booked some reservations for a seat on some trains however I noticed that I need to also use Regional trains to get to where I need to go. Am I able to get on the regional trains without a ticket if I have bought a eurail pass?
