If I miss my reserved train because I'm late, I can book the next available train right on the app.
On my next Scotland trip, I plan a stop in York on the way back before riding to Portsmouth to catch the ferry. Unluckily, it’s on a weekend (22-23 march) were all lines south of York are closed. There are rail replacement buses running to Doncaster, and also to Selby and Leeds, all three in about an hour which then connect on trains to London, so in theory there’s no problem. However I’d like to be sure if I can consider this reliable, or if it can be like “there’s one bus every hour and 200 people waiting so you will wait for 3 hours”. LNER says the trains may be crowded and advises to book, but nothing special about the buses.Alternatively, there’s a regional train route that still works to Leeds via Harrogate, barely slower than the replacement bus, but the first train is quite late on the Sunday morning and I’d have to be sure it would run normally and not be overcrowded to decide to wait for it (otherwise I wake up early and take a bus asap). At least, the good things are I will b
I’ve purchased Scandinavian Eurail passes . My latest problem is when trying to book seats from Andalsnes to Oslo in May, I keep finding that “ Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection “. Can anyone help, I wish I hadn’t purchased the passes.
I have purchased a Eurail Italy pass and some of the journeys I have planned require a seat reservation. When I try to book a reservation in the Rail Planner app the site continues to buffer and will not load? Can anyone give me guidance on this issue?
Dear, I would appreciate any help here. We will have a Eurail global pass. The info I am after is will I need separate ticket to travel within Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and Frankfurt. If yes, is there a daily pass (or family pass) for 1-2 days that I can use.Much appreciated.
4 of us, 2 couples, will be traveling in Switzerland and Italy this September. Should each of us have our own e-pass on our phone or is it better for 1 person from each couple to have 2 passes?
I wanted to ask regarding my journey which involes multiple cities. If I’m going in a group of 5 should I book using the train’s local website or the eurail website regarding getting seated together. Cause I heard booking using eurail might not get you seated together and its more expensive, is that true?. Also, whats a good amount of time to prepare for booking a seat reservation for places like Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona etc. (Would a month before the travel date be possible to book for 5 people in these places?)
travelling from Milan to Zermat and then back again using regional trains On the zermatt to Milan trip I will be going throughAndermatt,Chur and Tirano. Should I get a eurail pass for that or is there some other rail pass to use Thanks
I just discovered one small problem regarding booking sest reservations using raileurope. I’m in a group of 5 and one of them will be buying a eurail pass since he resides in europe while the rest 4 will be on interail. And when I checked to book seat reservations, I cant book seat reservations for interail and eurail in one booking. Is there any way I can solve this so we can be seated together?. Moreover not just raileuorpe but other local sites like oebb and deutschbahn doesn’t show the seating map. So is one of my friends just stuck on his own in the train for the rest of the trip?
Planning a trip with a 4-day global Interrail pass and on the final day (27/04) will travel from Paris home to London. If I make a passholder reservation on the last Eurostar to London that day, what will happen if the train is cancelled?Seems that generally Eurostar will cover accommodation and book passengers onto a train the following morning, but I don't know whether this applies to passholders? Especially given that I wouldn't have any travel days left by the following morning? Thanks in advance for any advice!
Im planning to travel 19 MayPart of the journey is between Milan and Lugano. I was looking yesterday trying to decide on the best route, and the whole journey from Milan to Basel was €6.Ive come to book it today and it states there is no service available. Can anyone help and advise how I can resolve this please?
Hi there! This summer I’m going to Norway and I’ve used the interrail discount to book a ferry between Stavanger and Bergen. It states that I should show both my interrail pass and my booking when boarding the ship, but I find it unclear as to whether I should fill in a travel day for this journey or if simply showing the pass is sufficient. Thanks in advance!
I am planning to book Eurail passes for my family of 5 (2 Adults, 2 Youth, 1 Child). We are planning to book 1st Class Eurail passes. I understand that some trains in our itinerary require seat reservations and I have a few questions:If I have booked 1st Class Eurail passes for every traveler in my family, will I still be required to reserve seats on the trains that say a reservation is required? When seat reservations are required, am I required to pay the 1st Class seat reservation fee (which is higher than the 2nd Class seat reservation fee) even though I will already have a 1st Class Eurail pass? For the trains that do not require seat reservations, if I do not reserve seats am I still likely to find 5 seats together in 1st Class so I can feel confident my family can sit together in 1st Class even if we don’t have seat reservations?
Hello,I purchased a 7-day Global Pass for 4 people, so have 4 pass numbers and added a trip with multiple cities and dates (below). If I connect the trip to my pass and later need to change dates and cities, can I do that w/out disconnecting pass from a trip? Is it just a matter of removing one journey and adding another? If I’m not sure which city I want to visit -- do I add both journeys to a trip and then delete one? Thank you!Kirill June 30 Prague > BerlinJuly 4 Berlin > Nuremberg and Nuremberg > Munich (time of second leg might change)July 7 Munich > ZurichJuly 9 (might need to change to 10) Zurich > Basel (might need to change to Lucerne)July 12 Zurich > ViennaJuly 14 Vienna > Prague

We are going from the small town of Habo to Hamburg Hbf 22/4; I type this into the app and get the following suggestions:06:43-17:03If I add "no reservation required" and then get the following:05:31-17:03Here the app suggests changing in Jönköping, but I know that the train goes all the way to Nässjö and therefore divide my search into parts and get the following:Habo - Nässjö 05:31-06:17Nässjö - Alvesta 06:26-07:18Alvesta - Copenhagen 07:23-09:39Copenhagen - Hamburg 09:57-15:00Result; 2 hours earlier in Hamburg.I have set the minimum change time to 1 minute. Why don't the app provide information about the fastest possible journey?//Robert PS: Similar results with DB Navigator and ÖBB
I will turn 80 whilst on a 3 week train journey and now need a walking stick and am unable to carry any suitcases - can I apply for assistance from check-in on trains please ?Should i have a Eurail pass with a code or stamp on it ? I have the Pass Order for me & my husband (email printed copy) and an interrail payment confirmation with Order ID number (posted to me in London from Ultrecht and these bits of information have enabled me to book trains & seats online, so guess that all is ok ? just a first timer worrying a little ??
I have a client who uses a wheelchair, and he is requesting a complimentary pass for his caregiver (his wife). If I arrange the Eurail pass through a third-party merchant like Rail Europe, can my client obtain the complimentary pass directly from Eurail?
Hello everyone! I am trying to book the night train from Zurich to Amsterdam from within the ÖBB App and although it registers the Eurail discount option the same is not reflected in the price. The price is €99 per passenger as shown in screenshot below: Obviously I'm missing something very simple here but can't figure it out! Can someone point me to it? Thanks in advance...
Purchased two global passes for 7 days already, our trip is only on 3rd April but can seem to figure how to reserve seats from Amsterdam Centraal or Rotterdam to Eiffel Paris.
are the 4mins transfers too short…is the station rlly big?
Hello from the USA! 3 of us are traveling to the UK and Ireland in June for 17 days. Wondering what others think the best means of transportation for the entire trip would be? It looks like one of the variations of the Eurorail pass might be best but I’m having a hard time understanding the speed trains and if that’s a thing inside of one country - or do they only go across borders? I don’t want to spend so much time on the trains! Also - will the Eurorail pass take us from England over to Ireland? Thank you so much to all!
Can i buy a pass for myself and one for my partner through my account? Or does the account automatically put my name on any pass I buy? Also, when we have the passes can we both have both passes on both our phones in case we lose a phone? Thank you
