Get ready to travel

The app suddenly stopped showing travel days. Tried reinstalling but didn’t work. Tried deleting and readding trips and now trips will not add to pass.This means I do not have access to code to scan to prove I have a pass.All booking still show on website.

I have been trying to get a pass cover number but when I  try to fill in the required field it will only accept 4 characters - it won’t load the last two o-  and so I can’t get the number which I need urgently to make reservations.  Please advise on what I can do… Thank you

Hi! Recently, I was looking into seats on the Intercité de Nuit between Paris Austerlitz and Toulouse Matabiau. The three possibilities (2x 2nd class, 1x 1st class) both just say ‘TARIF EURAIL INTERRAIL’. Does anyone know what kind of seats you actually get with these options? For example, would the 1st class option be a 4-person couchette, or should I think more in the direction of 2-1 seating plan? Many thanks!

Hello community,what are your experiences with Interrail in 1st class? What are the pros and cons of 1st class versus 2nd class? We're traveling to Denmark. Maybe on to Norway. Is it true that seat reservations are included with a 1st class Interrail Global Pass in Denmark? We're traveling as a family with three teenagers. I would like to take the ICE from Copenhagen to Hamburg. However, the connection isn't shown on the Rail Planner app, only in the DB app. So I'm not sure if I can use it with my Global Pass. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi, I’m getting conflicting information from OBB so would really appreciate some advice.We are a family of 4 (mother, father + 2 boys (12, 8)) and would like to travel on the nightjet from Brussels to Salzburg.  It’s a popular route and it appears there is only a 4 person ‘Ladies only” couchette available. I’ve spoken to OBB twice; one adviser said we would have to be split up (at great expense) but another said as we were occupying the whole couchette it wouldn’t be a problem.Can anyone advise if the whole carriage is “Ladies only”?  If not, it seems strange that this would be a problem given we would be the only occupants of the 4 person couchette? ThanksDamian

Hi the discount code HRAIL30-D indicated for domestic discounts for Fjordlines gets activated but the price is not discounted not the payment is possible. ("Something went wrong with your payment. Please try again later.) I tried three browsers , didn't help. Any ideas how to get the discount. I want to travel on May 31. Thanks. 

Hello, I’m planning on going interrailing this summer, and I purchased all seat reservations via OBB. However, I did not realize I could add the interrail discount, so I booked all seat reservations via seat reservations only. I read that adding the discount would ensure that possible supplements are purchased as well, but I don’t think any of the trains I am planning on taking require a supplement. Some trains (Deventer-Hannover, Ljubljana-Budapest, and Vienna-Arnhem) do indicate that seat reservations are required. Does it matter that I purchased the seat reservations this way? Would I be fined if I did not indicate that I have an interrail pass? Thanks in advance!!

Hi, we're trying to book reservations from London to Rome in August. It doesn't seem possible yet to book Paris-Milan or Paris-Turin, so what will we do if we book Eurostar but then can't travel on without having to visit every town in Switzerland? Also, how do we make reservations for different days, eg travel to Turin on the 2nd then to Rome on the 3rd? Finally, what does activating the pass mean, do we only do that just before we travel? We have tried hard to work out these things on the app and website, but just can't find the answers. Thanks! 

With a global pass, when taking an inbound/outbound trip can I take more than one train? Meaning, do they count as travel DAYS where you can travel within your country of residence ilimitadly or rather a single trip where you HAVE to get out of your country?

My app says my validity period is "15 Dec 2022 - 14 Jan 2023" Does that that mean I have until the midnight of the 15th of Jan to use my pass? I just want to make sure because I plan on taking a train the day of the 14th and don't want to have pay for the train when I can plan around it.

I booked a 7 day eurail pass and then made train reservations. I realised I don't need a 7 day pass. A 5 day pass is sufficient. Can I cancel the 7 day pass and book a new 5 day pass? Will be reservations still be valid?

Hello everyone! I’m travelling in Switzerland and Italy in early August this year, and I came across the Treno Gottardo (https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2022/may/04/rail-route-of-the-month-basel-to-locarno-the-slow-swiss-alps-classic) train which I want to take from Lucerne and Locarno. According to the Guardian article linked, it runs on a scenic old route even though its longer and takes more time, and is run by SBB.My question is this: Is travel on this train covered under the Eurail Global Pass? Also, does this have both 1st and 2nd class coaches? Any guidance on this would help me plan better!  Thanks everyone :) 

Buenos días, compré dos pases eurorail, que duran dos meses y tienen 15 días de viaje cada uno.Bajé la aplicación a mi móvil.Mi idea es usar los pases entre el 27 de abril y el 27 de junio de este año. Pero tengo urgencia por hacer una reserva para el 10de junio porque sé que es un viaje que se agota pronto.Entonces, mi pregunta es: CUAL es la  ACCIÓN  que ACTIVA EL DIA 1 DE LOS DOS MESES QUE DURA EL PASE??Si yo ingreso a la aplicación lo primero que me aparece en pantalla es un botón de “EMPEZAR” . Eso implica que activo el primer día de los dos meses de uso de mis pases? Si yo ingreso a la aplicación (supongamos que empezar en la aplicación no tiene nada que ver con la vigencia del pase), y reservo un viaje para el 10 de junio, el queda activado a partir del 10 de junio? No podria ya usarlo en un viaje anterior a esa fecha? Venceria entonces el 10 de agosto? socorro, gracias 

I have reserved some seats for this summer n the interail website this morning, the tickets came through as PDFs on my email but when I try to open them on the Interrrail app nothing comes up.  when i download them from the interail website they appear as Zip files I went to Trenitalia and put in my email and PNR to see if I coudl get them on the app but it says “trip not found”.  have I just checked too soon?Any clarificartion would be great thanks in advance

Hello,my Friends and I are planning a trip trough the Balkan states.In the Balkan states, only very few connections are shown on the official railway map, for example in Serbia. Is it possible to take trains that are not registered at the Railwaymap, like regional trains, with the Interrail pass? Thanks for help

I am trying to book two seats on the train from Zürich HB - Milano central on 25 July 2025.I have tried ÖBB, SBB and Trenitalia but with no luck. On the ÖBB ticket site (which is the most used for this as I understand) it says “tickets not available” for all departures on that specific route.Have they completely stopped selling seat reservations for this route? And in that case, do you have any recommendations on how to go about it?best regardsMagnus

Ok so I’m planning on going from Berlin to Gdansk and the PKP app is saying I can do a one stop journey in Poznan but the app is saying I have to change in Frankfurt (Order), Rzepin, and Poznan. This is super confusing as the train from Berlin to Poznan stops at all these stops (Frankfurt (Order), Rzepin, and Poznan) so I don’t understand why it’s listed as a train change? The journey also starts earlier than the PKP intercity says but gets in at the same time? It says 10:59-2:32pm on the rail app but 11:52-2:32pm on the PKP intercity. I have made reservations on the PKP intercity app for the two journeys but I’m a bit worried as the journeys I have selected on my pass don’t align exactly with the ones on the Rail App. 

Hello,I’m currently planning a trip from Montpellier (France) to Umeå (Sweden).The thing is that the Rail Planner proposes a 24 minutes connection time in Hamburg Hbf, and it seems like a tight one.I’ve heard a lot from other travelers that German trains are often late 😅 So I’m a bit afraid, as this is the connection to take our big Euro Night from Hamburg to Stockholm. Hi! My friends and I are planning the Interrail. We must go from Venice on August 14th and return to Venice on August 19th (we have the flights booked). We wanted to see Munich, Zurich and Brussels, but we don’t know if there are night trains avaible or which cities are better to go from Venice.Thank youuu!!!!

I wanted to ask anyone that has booked seats using OEBB. Usually on other timings they provide a seat reservation as I checked but for this one there isn’t an option. Does anyone know if OEBB assign seats together when booking for multiple passengers?

Do my payments for reservations get deducted from my Eurail balance?If this is meant to happen it’s not working.Please help.
