Get ready to travel

Hi fellows, need some advise, trying to book Paris to Interlaken trains with Euro rail first class pass, currently none of the trains are available for seat booking from 5th July, up to 4th July are available to book, anyone knows when 6th will be open? Thanks

I use to book my seats for trains in Italy on öbb, but when I try for connections in april no tickets available. Is it no longer possible to book seats with öbb? When I try at trenitalia I can't choose seats only. 

Hi,I am not sure, I am looking for seat reservation for 7 July from NIce to Paris for the train departing at 7:59 from Nice.Rail Europe does not show any train for this day yet, but Euro Rail shows the train but all seat reservations are sold out. Why is this that Euro Rail says sold out and Rail Europe has no trains at all for this day? Is this because the seat reservations are not open yet, or really sold out?Regards,Horst

I have a Eurail pass and my friend will buy an interrail pass soon (they are hoping for a spring sale). In the meantime, I wanted to make seat reservations for both of us on a train from Rome to Zurich (1st leg is Rome to Milan and then Milan to Zurich.) However, when I try to book seat reservations for both of us together on Rail Europe, it is asking for a Eurail pass number. I have one, but my friend is using Interrail and hasn’t purchased their pass yet. Is there a way for me to book both passes at once, even though my friend doesn’t have an Interrail pass number yet? Also the spot to type in Eurail pass number says “Eurail Global Pass 1st Class” for both of us, instead of Interrail for my friend. How would I get the other one to say Interrail instead? Thanks!

Dear community,I‘m planning a reservation for the SJ EuroNight 346 from Stockholm to Hamburg via the interrail reservation service, but I‘m a bit confused.I would like to know if booking a "Sleeping compartment 2 class" for my partner (female) and me (male) means that we get a shared compartment? Since it is also mentioned on the SJ website that you can choose between ladies and gents, we are unsure whether we will then be assigned separate compartments.Thank you in advance!

Hello, my grandparents are about to travel and they have bought two interrail-passes. However one of them has an iPhone that is not possible to update to iOS 16, which is the required iOS in order to download the app. So my grandma is wondering if there is any way to get both interrail-passes on her iPhone or if there is any else to do?  thanks 

I want to buy a phyisical global pass, I bought one a couple of years ago and was sent to my country in South America but I don’t remember how long it took to arrive. I want to buy again the physical pass but want to send it to my first destination in Switzerland. So when I’m about to purchase it says it will arrive on april 6th in standard mail, is it there anyway to pay and extra fee to get it faster? Or please if someone had bought this recently and got it before the day it says it will arrive. 

Hi, I have finalized my main travel destinations and booked seats, my question is If I click my first journey in Day 1 travel and then decide to day a trip to a village on that same day do I need to put the 2nd journey in day 1 travel day? and if so How do i add it to a travel day that has a journey already booked. Also my next destination will not be for 4 days, do i put journey 2 in Day 2 or wait and see if i do a day trip in betweenI have 6 main journeys getting me to my destinations where i have hotels booked , how do i plan day trips.Thanks in advance

Tengo reservado el Bernina Express para una determinada hora en mayo. Como el tramo de Milano a Tirano no requiere reserva, no es posible reservarlo. Tengo miedo de quedarme sin lugar para viajar a tirano y perder el Bernina, ya que tengo los horarios un poco justos. Es común que se quede sin lugar ese tramo? Me conviene reservar otro billete aparte del global pass? Gracias!!

Hi all, hoping someone can clairfy - first time using trains in Europe and want to enusre we get the right one.  Thinking of doing a trip to Italy(overnignt in each maybe 2 overnights  - Rome, Pisa, Bologna and return.  One site says we can use Eurorail but another one says to use interail.  Does anyone know? which ever one we purchase, do we still require to make a reservation?  

Hello. I have a Global Pass. I booked a trip on the Caledonian Sleeper from London Euston to Inverness for May, 2025 using the room supplement option on the Caledonian website. This is available for Interrail Pass holders and covers only the sleeping compartment, not the train ticket. When I pull up this connection on my Rail Planner there appears a notice that seat reservations are required for this train. Since I have a sleeping berth, I don’t need a seat reservation. Can I ignore this notice or must I clarify the situation manually? Thanks.

I hope somebody can help here.My family and I are traveling from Barcelona to Madrid and back again in April. I have made seat reservations using the eurail site and have received allocated seats on the train.The seats are not together however and have been randomly assigned in the coach. I have tried to update these using the app but been told that this is not possible. I have contacted Eurail customer support and they have also said that this is not possible.I spoke with Renfe who told me that there are lots of available seats on both of the trains we have reservations on, however they are not able to change the reservations made through the Eurail site. The customer support agent from Renfe actually made reservations with seats together for me and gave me a reservation number and said if I can update the reservations in Eurail using that number then there is a table seat for the 4 of us available on the train we are due to take. I already book my Greek ferry tickets in the Blue Star Ferries site. I received the confirmation e-mail, but I don’t have a specific seat number, is that normal? The other question is how to add this greek ferry journey in the interrail app? Thanks!

So, I basically use google calendar to organize and plan my whole life, including interrailing trips and itineraries (which took quite a lot of manual labor….): I create calendars, export them to friends and family, and I also subscribe to calendars created by other people and import specific calendar events to my existing calendars (e.g. like specific trains trips which I buy from the Swedish train company SJ). I then gather and colorize all these different calendars in my phone (or on the web using a PC) using the google calendar app, so that everything ahead of me is accessible in a systematic, accessible and pedagogical way.I am therefore quite surprised that it doesn’t seem to be possible to subscribe to an existing interrail trip (where I have planned all the upcoming train schedules and trips) as an address in the iCal format or as a single calendar event which you can import to an existing calendar.Does anybody know any “workaround” to achieve this for an existing trip? Is there a place that can help me with that?I tried via Eurail,  and via nscf-connect, but no seats! (From Brussels to Lyon).Just nothing seems available. Is it possible that the seats are all gone? 2 months before dod??

Bonjour, J'ai un pass global Interrail. J'ai réservé un train de nuit en couchette sur le site d'OBB pour aller de Bâle à Berlin le 02/03/2025. Je ne retrouve pas ce trajet sur l'application Interrail pour valider une journée de voyage, est-ce que mon ticket de réservation reçu par mail ainsi que mon pass suffisent ? Si non, comment dois-je m'y prendre ?

Hi there, my partner and I are going to buy a Eurail pass. We are entertaining the idea of a first class global pass, but if we do second class, can we purchase first class seat reservations? Let me know if my question doesn’t make sense.

I have 4 days of interrail global pass. I want to go to Rome from Leipzig. It is like 18 hours long. If I start my travel at 1pm and get into my last train at 8pm, do i need to activate my second day for the trip at 12 am again? or is it completed with just 1 day?

Does Global pass include interrail pass automatically? If I want to catch local train going from Airport to local train station OR from local train station to Central station of any city in Germany. Can I use Global pass? 

Hello,I’m from Poland. In my journey plans don’t have standard start and return journey. I want to return for 1 day to Poland (but not to my city) and next, to continue journey with flexi pass. Is it possible to do ‘return journey’ in the middle of all journey?

HiSome of you may have seen a post ref from me - unable to book night train. This has now been resolved thanks to response from this community.BrendanDB - gave a very good insight in terms of day and night journey. Which has now got me thinking , in terms of if I should do this during day or night now.As it stands our plan and thought process is as per :Night train - 8th May - Oslo to Bergen stay 1 night in Bergen Return leg - Bergen to Mydral - During DAY time ) Mydral to Flam - day time Depending on how train times works out . Either stay for 1 night in Flam or catch a return train from Flam to Mydral and from there back to Oslo ( ideally during day time)Just wish to ask the community your thoughts on  this ?Our thoughts - Night journey  1 way and do day journey on the return legAre the view any different/better from Bergen to Oslo, as oppose from Oslo to Bergen
