Get ready to travel

I am trying to book reservations for a journey from Haparanda towards Malmö at sj.se.   I can keep it short, according to https://www.sj.se/en/customer-service/frequently-asked-questions/158/eurail , sj.se does no longer sell reservations for paper passes, which seems to become a huge problem for me.Questions:Why is such a change introduced clandestinely?  I have three outstanding paper passes, which I want to use to travel throughout all Sweden (Finland → Germany and vice versa). What options do I have for booking SJ trains now?  vy.se doesn't sell SJ trains either, and interrail.eu, according to https://www.interrail.eu/en/book-reservations/how-do-i-make-seat-reservations would send paper reservations for Swedish trains; which is quite useless given the huge postal transfer times towards Finland, beside the fact that in case of travel disturbances, I need to be able to rebook.I must say, I am pretty angry regarding the way this change has been introduced, why didn't they enter a red

Are Isle of Man residents classed as non European and therefore eligible to buy eurail passes?

Heyy I’m Steffi 18 years old and from Germany. I got the Interrail travel pass and want to travel around Europe. (Max.7 days) I don’t really have a certain plan.  I want to make a reservation for a train trip from Amsterdam to Zurich but it is a paper ticket. I will not be staying in Amsterdam and will just be passing through. Can I provide an address in Spain so they can send the ticket?

I do understand with Eurail pass it cheaper to travel vis Glacier Express & Bernina Express. But worried in other cities the Eurail pass not recognized with the Travel Partners. It will be a waste if I need to buy extra single point to point train tickets. Please Help Thank you

I booked 7 days first class and travel plans include the following: Brussels - ParisParis - ZurichZurich - Milan.  Question - do I still need to pay for the seat reservation gor first class? Or I would be able to book them for free since I purchased the first class pass.  im new to this so i would appreciate the input. 

Hello,I plan to buy 3 mnt global pass. It says that the latest activation date is 11 months after the purchase date. Is it correct that if I activate my pass 11 mnts after I purchase it, I am able to travel with is still 3 mnts? Or the pass is valid only 1 year after the purchase?Thanks for your help. 

I bought this as a promotion on 17 December 2024.  Our plan is to use it within 11 months.  But the pass states valid from 1.2.25 to 28.2.25.  I don’t know where those dates came from.  But it’s presumably why the eurail site said not valid for a reservation is March.   Was I wrong in thinking it would be valid for 11 months?

At july 17. 2024 i bought 2 passes for 349 Euro.At least i had send Eurail.com 349 Euro that day.I think i got the confirmation mail, and i did put the pass in my interrail app. But now is everything gone away. So i need to get the confirmation mail resend.I use to use mtygstrup@gmail.com as my mail. But i could be martin@tygstrup.dk or tygstrup@outlook.dk that was used for the purcase. .

Hello. Back ion 4th March I bought 4 passes for my husband and myself; we live in the UK. We used two recently (although technically this is still valid until 10th August although it says ‘expired’ and we have used the two outward/inward home journeys so can’t re-use) and so for us, that trip is completed but want to use the next two in September. I am trying to book seat reservations via Eurorail page and it says ‘Some of your passes are not valid on this date’. I have activated the second passes to start on 22 September and I am trying to book for 23rd September. Is the system still seeing the old pass and I will have to wait until it disappears from the system after the 10th August,to book reservations? The two trips have two different names on ‘My trip’ on the App but on the reservations page it is simply shown as a generic ‘My Interrail trip’ and realtes to those bought on 4th March. Can I remove pass from iPhone and added it again? I didn’t fully activate it.

Wondering if I’m calculating my travel days correctly as well as a couple questions about the pass. Plan is to fly into Amsterdam (aug14) stay until the 16th, take a train morning of 16th to Brussels & stay here until 18th. 18th morning train to munich staying until the 20th which then will take a final train to Krakow Poland. Totaling 3 travel days, offering me the 4 day global pass. Curious if trains will be necessary around the city while staying in these towns while sight seeing/exploring and if this will affect my pass usage days? Also curious if I will need the eurail pass from the airport to my part of town when arriving into Amsterdam or better to take local Ubers/cabs? First timer going across the pond so any tips welcome. 

I plan on being in Europe for a total of 34 days. I will be staying about a week in each of 4 cities in the Netherlands, Germany and France and 1 week on a cruise to Norway and Denmark. I calculate this would require 6 travel days from my arrival to departure. If I am reading the tickeing options correctly, the best way for me is to select a Flexi pass for 10 days which would permit up to 4 day trips within the the areas I am staying in addition to the necessary intercity travel. This instead of a continuous pass for 30 or more days.

Hello! I am planning my Eurotrip for February/March. I think i need becuase i do not understand how to buy the tickets or book them with anticipation. If any of you can give me a hand, i would be really thankful! By the way, I have  a FlexPass from the programme DiscoverEU. So i want to use the tickets from the programme.

Hi! We want to go to Portugal by train in may/june. And we are travelling from the Netherlands. I was wondering if anybody did this already and what is the best route. 

We have 3 month continuous Interrail passes. Once activated, can the 3 month period be deactivated or paused and restarted within the 1-year validity period?

Hi,I am travelling from Nice Ville To Zürich Main Station via Paris Gare de Lyon and have two options for the transfer time, one is 29 Minutes and the other is 2 Hrs and 29 Minutes. The question I haveis 29 Minutes enough if you have the arrival TGV from Nice is in a different hall as the the departing oneto Zürich?Thanks and Regards,Horst

I am hoping to travel in the opposite direction - Bordeaux-Bilbao-San Sebastian, but all routes take me a very long way via Barcelona. The Eurail website advises this is being updated, but wondering if anyone has travel this route successfully? Did you have to book this part of the journey via SNCF website instead?Any help appreciated. Thank you.   

I am purchasing global passes for my family, we are traveling in June. Can I buy them now, and then our start date is just whenever we first use them? Or do I indicate somewhere what our first travel day will be with the passes? 

Hello everyone, when I planned the journey Amsterdam - Brussels - Luxembourg - Paris - Lucern - Chur - Tirano - Milan - Verona - Venice - Vienne, there were 10 segments that are in accordance with 10 travel days, I guest. Why did the Eurail website calculate 11 days of travel?

I am traveling 2 days and selected the trains I want to take. They nicely show up in My trip. I did the seat booking through https://www.raileurope.com 1) because the yellow wheel in the interrail app kept spinning and ii) its is cheaper and you have control of the seat. Handy, because I am traveling with a bike.Now I am curious/uncertain whether my trains are actually booked. On certain trains where the booking of seats is mandatory I used the above website. How can I test the generation of a QR code for a travel day. The pass is active from 17 April 2025 and the trains in My trip are for 17 and 18 April. I had a look at the tutorial on YouTube but that is not so useful.
