Hello there!I plan to travel to Scotland this summer with my girlfriend. We’re about to make a seat reservation for the Eurostar. Is there a way to be seated next to each other or not? Thank you for your help!

Hi,I’m trying to figure out an itinerary to travel from UK through France & Spain to Morocco on the Tarifa-Tangier ferry in January - I read that Man in Seat 61 highly recommends this route. However having got as far as finding trains as far as Antequera-Santa Ana (using seat61’s suggested itineraries) I’ve now got rather stuck. I’ve not found any departures at suitable times from Antequera to Algeciras, looking on the interrail planner, renfe.com and raileurope.com so I’ve no idea whether the itinerary is feasible, so daren’t book anything yet. I’ve a few questions…Is it too soon to expect train times on this route to be published? There seems to be one train time published on the route but at a totally unsuitable time - the one mentioned by seat61 doesn’t appear, although if I look at dates in December there are far more trains.According to seat61, the Antequera to Algeciras trains are Media Distancia. Do these require seat reservations? And finally, I read that interrail passhold
Does anyone have any recommendations for apps for train travel in Spain, France and Italy?
My journey is split in 2 days although it is same day. I’m going from Avignon to Paris and directly Paris to London.
Hello,I would like to make a reservation for a sleeping compartment for a couple (male and female) in the SJ night train from Hamburg to Stockholm.Following instructions from a previous topic discussion, I manage to add my Interrail number pass through SJ company booking website, but I can either : Book “bed in sleeping compartment” and have to choose between Men or Women compartment for 1,660 SEK (Interrail fare) Book “private sleeping compartment” for 3,710 SEK (it looks that the Interrail fare doesn’t apply)By selecting OPTION 1, can my partner and I be in the same compartment or does it mean I have to book a private compartment (without Interrail fare) for my partner and I to be in a gender-mixed cabin ? Thank you for your help !
We (2 adults and 1 Youth) will be traveling to Rome in July 2025 and want to take a train to Germany, Austria, or some other destination to spend a couple of days then travel back to Rome for the last day of our vacation. I need help on how to go about this. Do I need a Eurail Pass or can I simply book passage by train? Are there restrictions or hurdles I need to jump to travel between countries in Europe?
Why can’t I book optional seat reservations on the eurail app
For some reason I am unable to do a bike reservation for trains crossing the Alps. For example EC67 from Bazel SBB to Milano. DB (also app) say that price is unknown. With Trenitalia it is not possible to reserve for a bike without a personal ticket. Any experience in this? How to communicate with Trenitalia (I already did) that I do not need an additional personal ticket. Btw, does the 3,5 euro ticket one can buy with a Trenitalia ticket guarantee a place on the train for by bike? Many thanks for your time!
how can book a train if it shows "you're ready to board"?everyone tells me if i added the trip on my passthen just take the train without a reservation, though the ticket with the seat reservation is shown, but the ticket without the seat reservation is not shown.then how can i added "ready to board trip" on my pass
I don’t really understand how travel days work and which trains I can take. For example if I take a night train anywhere before midnight from the country I’m departing I’m still under 1 travel day?. Also how would I know what trains to take when departing? (Cause I’m trying to start the destination from gothenburg to berlin but unaware how to actually start it) Any tips?
Hello, I would like to do a trip with the following destinations.Home (inside Germany) Hamburg Stockholm AbiskoMy plan would be to travel to Hamburg and from there to use the nighttrain to Stockholm on the same day. In the next stage I would travel from Stockholm to Abisko using another nighttrain. My problem is that I find the rules regarding the travel inside the home country quite confusing. The frequently asked questions states that you are allow to take 2 rides, one to leave and one to return to the home county. Meanwhile here on the community discussions I hear a lot of people talk about 2 travel days. So am I allowed to take multiple trains from my local train station to leave the country? If it is indeed 2 travel days to leave the country and return back home, are the a part of the travel days mentioned on the pass or additional. Another question I have is about the seat reservations for the nighttrains. Can i book them from interrail directly, and how accurate are the prices li
Cómo se que asiento debo tomar si no hice reserva?
Hello! We’d like to travel with the night train from Paris to Cerbère (or actually Collioure). However, I wonder if anyone has any info on the days of operation of this service in the end of June. I’ve read that these trains operate on a daily basis during “the summer”, but that is a bit to vague for me at the moment :-) If not daily, do you know which days these trains run? Perhaps - the planning for the summer is not yet presented/fixed, if so - when can I expect to get access to the timetable for June? Our Plan B will probably be to take the night train Paris-Toulouse, and from there a regional direct train. This is a good alternative although we’d prefer the direct train between Paris and Collioure. best regards, Anna
Hi! I’m planning on traveling in May 2025, and I have two questions.Firstly, there is going to be a timetable change on May 17th. When will the new timetables be released in the app?Secondly, I’ve understood that the interrail planner app isn’t always updated when it comes to changes in departures. Does anybody know the go to sites for looking up live up to date departure times in respectively Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, and the UK? And does anyone have experience with whether or not Google maps has live updates?
This is my first time taking a night train so wanting to be sure I am looking at this correctly. Planning to take the night train (EN 476 Metropol / 406) from Bratislava to Krakow Glowny in mid April 2025. Not available to book yet so I tried one less than 60 days out (mid February) to get an idea of the cost. Departs Bratislava at 21:58 with an hour stop at Breclav (the train number changes but you don’t changes trains). I entered 2x Adult 65 years and older / Eurail Global Pass in a 2-person sleeper compartment and it returned a price of 1702 CZK, which is about $70 USD. Was hoping someone who has done this before (using the Czech Railways website) can verify I did this correctly and this is the actual price or if I am missing something. Thanks in advance.
I have a Eurail Pass and plan to use it in Germany. When I search for trains in the Eurail Planner app and the DB Navigator app, I notice that the timetables don’t match. The train I plan to catch shows “+1 day” in the Eurail Planner app, even though it’s during daytime hours. However, this does not appear in the DB Navigator app.If I take this train showing “+1 day,” can I still add the journey to my pass and show it properly? Please refer to the attached screenshot of my app.
Hi everyone, my plan was to travel to Scotland this winter break with my interrail pass.To make it to Scotland, I have to crosse the gap between Belgium and the UK with the train. The only trains riding this gap however are from Eurostar. I can’t afford the expensive seat reservation which the interrail app tells me are necessary.so my question is, are the seat reservations for Eurostar between Brussels and London crucial? please let me know 🙏
Hello everyone!I am traveling to France in 1 week and I want to clarify one point about seat reservationI’ve chosen destination from Paris to Bordeux, but I’ve realized that I need to reserve this place 150 days before the trip!!! I was recommended by another option like www.b-europe.com to reserve my seat. So… I have a question. Do I need to book a place in www.b-europe.com in advance or I can buy it and use immediately??Thanks!
Hi All, I’m planning a family trip to Switzerland and was hoping to experience the Bernina Express. However, after checking the SBB website for reservations, I found that while tickets are available, there’s no reservation option for the Bernina Express since it is sold out. Furthermore, it’s unavailable on my planned date (and for the entire week, since there is only one Bernina Express train departing at 10:06 am). Since I can’t change my travel dates, I learned from a forum that it’s still possible to take a regular train ride from Tirano to St. Moritz. We’ll be staying in Lugano and plan to take the train from Lugano to Tirano, then return to Lucerne after the Tirano to St. Moritz journey.Could you recommend the best trains for these 3 segments?Which morning train would you suggest from Lugano to Tirano between 6:30 am and 8:00 am? Which specific regular train should we book for the Tirano to St. Moritz leg? How much time is recommended to spend in St. Moritz before heading to Lu
Hi! I am new to using the train network in Europe and had a couple questions~I have bought some seat reservations from Vienna → Hallstatt through OBB and realised the same trip doesn’t show on the Eurrail app. I know I should add it manually, but when I do, should I add the two legs of the journey separately, or just the overall journey? Knowing that there are slightly different journeys on country websites like OBB vs Eurrail app, which one should I trust? Should I be constantly checking if the same train I booked on OBB still exists? I don’t want to be missing a train just because the times from my ticket I bought a month ago don’t line up with the real times. I’m a bit confused about the ticket system. I have seat reservations, so do I have to print out the tickets from the confirmation email to board? And ontop of this, do I also have to activate the journey on my Eurrail app?I have bought the 4 days in a month Eurrail pass. The trip is still a month away, but I just wanted to cle
