Get ready to travel

Hey ! Good morning to you all, new to this interail adventure. There's one thing I don't understand. I would like to book a sleeper train between hamburg and stockholm, but when I go to the booking page I am only offered a seat and no sleeper. I looked carefully on the company's website and they say that sleepers are available...can you help me? 

I am looking for trains from Rome to Frankfurt with minimal transfers on June 20, 2025 without many transfers. I think I would need a seat reservation because the train starts in Italy, and if so where do I do this, and how would I ensure I get a reservation so I could sit near a friend as well? We both have global Eurail/Interrail passes. Any recommendations for specific trains/routes/times? 1 day travel would be amazing, but I am also open to staying overnight along the way and continuing the next day for a more relaxing journey. Any suggestions for a 1 day route and/or 2 day route for this journey? Thanks for any help and ideas!

Post eve Halstatt > Vienna TRAIN TRAVEL in OBBDay 10/11 = Vienna city tour, End of the Trip.Does it really worth/benefit for me to go for 15days Eurail global pass for 952€/2 adults? I am planning a Europe trip to breeze through 3 cities Paris, London, and Asterdam within 4 days in February 2025. My search made me believe the cheapest option is to use high speed train using Global Flex Pass. I got passes for 4 of us and now am trying to reserve /book seats for this trip via Eural app and website. None is straight forward or available for me and my family to book. I am frustrated because my trip is for the duration Feb 14th to Feb 17th. Please help me figure this out because this is my first time trying to use Eurail and high speed train

Hey all, I’m planning to depart from Edinburgh towards Amsterdam (plus additional destinations after).I thought it would be great to take the ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland, but the travel planner is not showing me the ferry, even when I specifically make a stop at Harwich.Do you know if the ferry is covered? 

I am a single male traveller trying to book an overnight sleeper from Hamburg to Stockholm on 2nd February on SJ Trains, it will only offer me ‘women only’ sleeping compartments, does that mean the rest are sold out also do I pay a discounted price with my Interrail pass

I am flying into Rome. I want to take a train from Rome to Paris and then Geneva. Fly into Rome and fly out from Geneva. What are my options. I have a function in Geneva so it has to be my last stop. Travel days are 4/12 to 4/20. Thank you. It looks like a global pass will be a good option.

Hi, I’m going to Europe for the first time, and bought a 2nd class Eurail global pass for 22 days. However, for any specific journey, for example the Bernina express from Tirano to Chur, can I book a 1st class seat? I don’t need 1st class for the whole time, so I’m not thinking of a pass upgrade, just looking for options to upgrade or exchange to 1st class for only specific routes. I know in swiss pass, it is possible to do that in sbb website, but couldn’t find anything similar in eurail. Also, in berina website, while booking seat reservation, I found that I can actually choose 1st class seat, and when selecting Eurail pass for discounted fare, it does discount the fare an only charge for seat reservation, but doesn’t ask if I have 1st class or 2nd class ticket. So, can I actually reserve 1st class seat with my 2nd class pass?  Thank you so much.  

I don't know how to reserve seats for the panoramic trains.

If I am taking the night train / nightjet from Vienna to Rome, it shows the train leaves Vienna around 1918 in the evening and arrives in Rome around 1100 the next day. Will I only need to use 1 day of my Eurail pass for that travel, even though I am arriving after 11 am in Rome the next day? And then when actually traveling, I will need to show my ticket from booking the nightjet seat reservation (sleeper car reservation), plus the Eurail pass on my phone? Hello Everyone,I’m wanting to make my seat reservations with OBB for tickets from Rome to Venice, Venice to Milian, Zurich to Paris, when I put this in and select 2nd class it does not show any seat options. So, when will it show me my seat options, and will it come to a point to where I can change them if my husband and I are not seated together?Thanks in advance for anyone’s help

I shall be travelling from London to Paris on 14 MayMy previous train should arrive at Kings Cross at 940- Would it be feasible to get the 10:24 Eurostar, or would it be wiser to allow the full recommended 90 minutes?- if I book the 11:31 Eurostar, but got to St Pancras in time for the 10:24, how likely are they to allow me on the earlier train?- if i reserved seats on onward trains through France based on the later Eurostar, would it be possible to rebook on an earlier train?  If it were, how could this be done, and what sort of cost would be involved?I apologise if these questions seem basic, but Ive never interrailed before, and would hate to make a mess of it

Please could someone advise the cheapest route (ie lowest reservations) travelling from Naples to Paris in a single day, likely to be 20 May, or thereabouts.I can leave Naples very early Thanks

The error is that the e ticket switch to paper ticket and then it says that they won't come on time, even if they are 20 days left. I don't want the paper ticket, i can print the ones sent via email.Has anyone go through this? And what should i do?

Can I make seat reservations before activating my pass?

I’m trying to book seats but 2 of my kids are getting new passports. What’s the best way to work around that?

Hi So I have my pass and I have booked my 1st journey in July( the euro star.)The reservation is not showing on the interrail app ? Not sure why?Also when I'm trying to search for trains it's saying no trains available. Or there is one option which is alot longer than it should be and €108 pp to reserve a seat!! This is from Paris to Nice. Can anyone help me? Is it because it's too early and more options will come available? When I go on the correct train website for that place it brings more up. I'm just getting confused. Would appreciate any help.  Many thanks

hello~!I'm sorry to always ask questions about EurailPassCan I use the Eurail Pass in the morning and use the OBB train or Czech train on the same day night?For example, if from Milan to Chur,use Eurail Pass early in the day and from Chur to prague makes a reservation using Eurail Pass on the Czech train app on same day night.also i booked from Wien to Paris by Eurail Pass on the OBB appand I received the train tickets on OBB by emailDo I need to register the tickets I booked through OBB or Czech app separately to my Eurail Pass?

HiI am planning to travel with a friend from London to Naples over 2 days in mid May.Day 1 we will be able to get 1030 eurostar.We would like to stop over possibly in Geneva. We don't want to arrive too late as an early start will be needed on day 2 to Naples  On the return leg, we are planning an early start from Naples to Paris, as the on final day of the 4 day pass we will need to arrive in London sufficiently early to catch a train up to Newcastle. Please could anyone suggest a route that minimises reservation fees but not make thae arrivals too late. Thank you 

Hi all, my first post here, thanks for any information you could give to me. My wife, my 16 years old daughter, and I, are going to travel a little bit more than 2 months in Europe, by Train, car, ferries, ..The idea is to stop several days (for example 7 to 10 days) in some specific destination : Greece (Paros), South Italy, Albania (not in the pass), Croatia (split, krk). And less days in other destination : Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic..We probably will use train most of the time, and I was wondering if, for those countries, 1st class is realy more interesting than 2nd one.Is someone knows both 1rst class and 2nd class in some of those countries?Thanks, and sorry if my question is a stupid one!Ronan

I am very new to interrail passes. I will be travelling from London to Cambridge one day, and then from Cambridge to Edinburgh another day. I am very confused, how do I reserve seats for these trains? And do I need to, really? How does one know if seat reservation is needed or not? If I don’t need to reserve, do I just show up on the train with my pass on the rail planner and show that one if they ask?

I am trying to book Strasbourg to Paris Est April 29 10:46 TGV INOUI - this train shows on the SNCG web site, but the only train showing on Eurail and Rail Europe is one at 4:00 am.Where/How can I reserve a seat for the 10:46 TGV?
