I am staying in Poggio Somavilla in Collevecchio and need to be at Rome Fiumicino airport at 10:00 on Thursday morning (19/09). The first train from Collevecchio Poggio Somavilla station is at 07:52 arriving at the airport station at about 09:45. As the trains are scheduled hourly if that train does not run for any reason the next train would be the 08:52 which arrives at the airport too late! :( Are the regional trains in Italy sufficiently reliable to make an airport connection? (As it is the first train of the day there is no option to get an earlier train!) :(
I have purchased 2 30 Day passes for an upcoming trip in December ‘24, can I enter the pass info into the Eurail pass and start planning my trains without activating the passes yet?
Hi! I plan to take the ferry from Bergen to Stavanger but I can't understand how to book it with the interrail discount.I have a 1 country pass for Norway, and from the web site they explain as follows:But then when I use any of the codes the result is always this:Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better way to do so?
We will be taking the train from Tirano to Milan on Wednesday 18th September and plan to catch the 10:08. I have put my ticket onto my pass. However when I try to do this with my wife’s pass it only shows the 9:08 or 11:08 trains. I think the 10:08 is a newly installed train following the engineering works on the line throughout August. As I recall the 10:08 wasn’t visible on my phone either until September.Suggestions, please about what I should do to enter the correct train on my wife’s app. Thanks,Peter
What trains do I have to add a journey and create a travel day in a mobile pass, so I can take Bernina Express? How do I know which trains in eurail planner, are from Bernina Express?
Hello,I have a Eurail Global Pass to visit 10 city, start in Spain on 09/21/24 and them Barcelone, Rome, Florence, Venice, Viena, Amsterdam, Brussels, London to finish in Paris. In this moment I live in Paris but I will travel by plaine to Spain because by train is so far.I would like to planning my trip because some train types required to buy a seat reservation before you jump aboard for exemple Eurostar…My question : Do I have to validate the pass before to book the seat reservation in this moment since my trip will start in September? Many thanks for your advise,Best Regards,Ximena
Hello! If travelling next summer (end of July, family of 4), what day of the week is best to travel on from the UK to Amsterdam (then into northern Netherlands)? Eg Best for availability of tickets, prices (if not using interrail pass, though I think it will work out cheaper to use one), and how busy the trains are etc?many thanks.

Hello experts,I will be using Eurail global pass soon and I am a bit confused on few points,1. Pass Activation: Once I activate a pass, does it continue into the next day or I have to manually activate/deactivate the pass for any given day? I have a 5 day pass and cannot afford to waste any day due to my mistake with the pass activation.2. Journey Coverage: Will my day pass cover the journey from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, Grutschalp, Murren, and back?3. Additional Stops: Can I also include Wildersel and Wengen in my journey using the same pass?4. Single-Day Itinerary: Is it possible to visit all the places mentioned in points 2 and 3 in a single day? How should I plan the itinerary? Has anyone else attempted a similar itinerary that they can share? Thanks as always for your valuable insights.
Hi all,This isn’t actually a journey I will actually be using my pass for (it’s too cheap!), but it does form part of a larger Interrail trip so I hope I’m not abusing the forum too much by asking this…I’m planning to take a couple of trains in Bulgaria late next month, but I don’t know how reliable the information on the BDZ website is at the moment (I know it is complicated by the major works going on around Sofia station), and I’m really just looking for reassurance that I’ll be able to get a seat if I buy a ticket at the station on the day. When I messaged BDZ themselves, they just sent an automated response saying that trains could only be booked 5 days in advance, so I’ve got that bit. But I still have a couple of questions about the two specific trains I plan to take.Firstly, the BV7625 from Vidin to Sofia; this does appear within the 5 day window, but apparently only has one 2nd class carriage? If correct, that’s a massive reduction from the usual three 2nd class and one 1st cla
We are taking a night train from Budapest to Craiova in October 5th. There has been a constant glitch in the system and although a couchette option shows as available when I am logged out, it disappears when I am logged in. After multiple conversations with Eurasia customer service they said it’s a tech glitch and recommend getting a reservation at the station. This is making me nervous as I don’t want to be stuck without a reservation.does anyone know how busy this rail line is on October and what are my chances of booking a couchette in the station?I’ve only been in Europe in July before and most beds were sold out mid summer, so I have no frame of reference for October. Here are screenshots showing the couchette (when I’m logged out) and then showing only seats when logged in.any help appreciated.
Hello Team, I want to travel from Venice St Lucia to Interlaken same day but it seems like it would be good to break the day by stopping at Milano central and then continuing to Interlaken. Couple of questions then1)From Venice to Milano central on a pass network there is a 5 min change over at VERONA PORTA NUOVA, is it doable for 2 adults + 2 kids (8,11)?2) Any better suggestion to plan trip from Venice St Lucia to Interlaken (without using the seat reservation)? Thanks for the help team
Amsterdam to LondonLondon - ValenciennesValenciennes - ParisParis - Barcelona need seat reservation ?
Hello Team,I have booked below journey via Rail Europe website and while booking I have selected I have a global pass (2nd class) Rome Termini to Venice S. Lucia Now do I have to activate my pass for this trip on the day? The ticket does says below Offer - Service CP CodeCartaFreccia/X-GOCartaFRECCIAPointsGlobal Pass-STANDARD“Global Pass: Only for pass holders valid for the whole international requested route. Showyour credentials on board.”The ticket does have a bar code so will the checker would also ask to see this trip in my rail planner app or just scanning the barcode on the ticket would be enough for the ticket checker?
Hello Team,I will be a first time user of the EURAIL global pass(2nd class) and have some questions about day activation. For example, I would want to use the pass from Interlaken to lauterbrunnen. Now for any given day that I want to use this for, do I have to add the specific time train to the journey to and from Interlaken? Also, what will happen if I want to take the next train and not the one that I have added in my planner app?
HelloWe are looking to travel to the UK from Northern Spain this christmas. We are thinking of using the night train from Dax to Paris as it’s very tight to make the whole journey in one day. From doing a bit of research it looks like the night trains go on weekday nights but not weekends. But the day we want to travel is Friday 21st December and there does not appear to be any information for that train yet. I need to book the seats for the Eurostar and worry they might run out (we are a family of 4), but want to link them with the night train. Is there a phone number I can call (in English) to find out if the night train will run of that day? Thanks, Martha
I purchased interrail passes for my wife and I ages ago and so I cannot remember precisely what I did. Presumably, however, I set up an account and then through that purchased both our passes. We will be travelling out soon and we have now both activated our passes etc. Everything seems to be in order, I just realised, however, that whilst I have an account into which I can log in, my wife does not. Is this an issue? Does she need her own account? Is it advisable for her to have one? In one respect it would be quite nice not to bother. We have so many different accounts with so many different passwords, one fewer would be quite nice!Peter
Hi, if I miss a connection & travel on next available train the same day do I/can I update my Global Pass with new train timings? No seat reservation involved. Thanks
Hello all,Wondering if I’ll just have to suck it up or there’s a better way around this…Berlin to Amsterdam on the IC148 train (direct). When I reserved my seats, it gave me 3 seats in the 1st class, compartment carriage, which I do not like as it’s quite suffocating. Do you think if I book using the Eurail app I’d have more luck? Thanks so much!
Hi,we plan to reach the Lofoten in October by Interrail (1st class). I saw there is a possibility to go from trondheim by day train to Bodo. From there with a ferry (Hurtigruten) to Lofoten. On our way back, we want to take the night train from Bodo to Trondheim.A few questions:1.) The nighttrain has only two bed compartiments. I think we will manage to “sleep” there with one adult and child on each of the small beds. So we need just one compartiment. Does anybody know if this will be okay with the railway company? Our children are 5 and 2 years old.2.) How about ferry connection in Bodo? Shall I pre book or would it be better to do it, when I know, if the train is maybe late? Are there other ferry companies Bodo / Lofoten?3.) How can I find out, how much the night train compartment will cost me with my interrail 1st class ticket? (3 tickets for us two adults and the 5 year old, no ticket for the 2 year old..).
Hello all,Wondering if someone can assist me. I’ll be travelling on the 29th of October from Zurich to Munich - when searching for a direct route on this date, nothing appears. However, other dates do show availability. Is there an event that is causing the lack of direct route options? If so, what are your best recommendations? Stop via Innsbruck, Stuttgart or Lindau? Thank you so much!
I would like to travel from Brussels to Budapest, and the following is itinerary is offered by all major reservation services:ICE at 16:32 from Brussels to Cologne / 12 minutes transfer time / ICE from Cologne to Mannheim / 7 minutes transfer time / ICE from Mannheim to Augsburg / 22 minutes transfer time / Euronight at 23:02 from Augsburg to Budapest direct .Zugfinder.net gives overall 50% chance that these connections would actually work, based on delay statistics. Based on experience with DB I also think it is a high-risk gamble. If it does not work out there is still a regular IC train to get later from Augsburg to Vienna overnight, to catch an early morning train to Budapest.I am willing to take the chance, but am wondering about the validity of the Interrail travel day. With the Euronight train, it would be sufficient to use one travel day for the whole trip, as it leaves Augsburg at 23:02 and goes to Budapest directly. But the later IC leaves only after midnight at 0:20 and also
Hi ! I’m planning a trip from France to Scotland with my bike. On the routes Dover-London and Edinburgh-Inverness, no seat reservations are required but i need to book one space for my bike. Is it possible to reserve a cycle space without reserving a seat? How? Thanks for your help.
Hey all. Just wondered if anyone knows what the recent Stockholm to Berlin Snälltåget night train punctuality has been like? I have reservations back to Brussels the Tuesday morning (28th), but these are all out of whack due I think to some major engineering works in Germany. Trying to grab some more reservations but not sure it'll be worth booking something out of Berlin before 10.00 if it's arrival time of 08.47 is unrealistic. Also, may consider hopping off at Hamburg if it is expected to be delayed... Thanks
Good afternoon,We have an interrail pass 1° class. I want to make reservations for me and my partner. His name I’ve also added in my “travel trip”. But … normally I book everything via interrail.eu. But there keeps popping up the result only for 1 traveller. But when I go to eurrai.com I can book as well, and there is popping up automatically the info for 2 pers. What is the reason for this? And does it make a difference if I book via EUrrail or Interrail?(I”ve screenshots but we can’t add this on this forum). Thanks for your support!
