Dear community,This is my first time using the Eurail pass I aim to begin in Leipzig next week and travel during the dates Aug 26 till Sep 10 reaching my destination of Greece, Athens. Is using the Euro rail pass make sense for this scenario and can I just get on any train and go to my next destination? So far my Itinerary:Train from Leipzig to Vienna: Day 1Bus from Vienna to Budapest: BusAnd the rest is up in the air any suggestions on remaining travel route and if my idea for using the Eurail pass this way makes sense.  thank you  

I’m planning to travel from London to Osnabrueck via Brussels and Koeln at the end of this month. The train from Brussels to Koeln has a reservation fee that depends on what time you catch the train. If I buy a reservation, and then miss the connection because Eurostar is late, what happens then? If the next train has a more expensive reservation fee, do I pay the difference, or what?This must be such a common issue - but never had to do this before.TIA!

Greetings I need some advice.  I am currently in Nimes and would like to visit the Chauvet cave.  After a long search I found the only option to get there by public transport.  Ať first tgv to Valence and then ter bus to Vallon pont d'arc.  As I read in other posts here on the forum, railpass should be valid in ter bus, although I'm not sure if it's still true and if the bus driver will know it too.  App shows me that they also need a Seat reservation for this bus. 1. Do I really need to reserve a seat for this bus?2. Does anyone know of any other way to get to Chauvet Cave in a different way and earlier, or at least how to leave Vallon Pont d'arc later.  I found the last connection to the train station at 17.00. Thank you for your help

I have activated my pass today for Sweden and I saw on the Ticket now „Not valid in Germany“ my last travel is from Kopenhagen to Stuttgart - is this pass then really not valid in Germany  

Ik schaf binnenkort de beneluxpas aan, maar ik begrijp dat je met een Nederlands paspoort daarmee niet in Nederland mag reizen. Ik moet dan een kaartje kopen voor het Nederlandse deel tot (volgens mij) het eerste station in Belgie. Iemand daar ervaring mee? En waar koop je zo'n kaartje? I probeerde al een kaartje te kopen bij NS Internationaal vanaf een station in Nederland tot Essen (het eerste station in Belgie), maar dat lukt niet.

We have booked two ferries within Greek islands, we have global passes. On blue star ferries there was no problem booking, and our ferry tickets say ‘global pass discount’ on them. However, on the app I cannot add the journeys to my pass, because it says the routes are for Greek Island Pass holders only.  Will I be able to get on the ferry? Do they tend to check interrail passes when checking in? 

I seem to have created 2 trips. One I’ve added no journeys to but it has 2 blank used travel days. The other I’ve added all my journey plans to and it allows me to toggle between using a travel day and not on it but I think it’s not connected to my pass. I can’t see how to delete a trip created - app keeps offering the option of adding a journey to a new trip but I’m avoiding that particular trap now. Help?Thanks so much Nóirín

Trying to book Paris - Bern, I needed to book Paris-Gare de Lyon - Basel reservation. However, the eurail site didn’t worked at all according to error “being not able to press ‘continue to traveler details’ button”. i’ve tried to find alternative website from  to reserve Paris-Gare de Lyon - Basel, but there was no website that can reserve it.(Only domestic lines were able to book at “travel.b-europe website for national rides in France”) Is there any alternative website that can book international rail Paris to Basel?

Hi I’m new to this interail pass thing,I have purchased a 4 day pass, travelling from Aberdeen to Alicante which uses 2 days of my pass, my question is can I use the remaining 2 days on my pass to return or do I lose them?TIA  

I'm looking at 2 tickets / Siracusa to Bologna (13.35 - 07.07 ); I'm not keen on sharing a 4 berth; and am too old to sit up all night in a couchette the supplement for the Private Sleeper is 125  . . I take it both my husband and I have to pay 125?If that is the case, I’ll look at another route with a hotel stop over

If I lose my phone, can I add my pass to travel companions phone? Can we add 2 passes to the app?

Hi everyone,I’m currently looking into the SJ night train from Stockholm to Narvik. The rail planner shows me to get a one country pass, but I will cross borders as the train travels from Sweden to Norway. Is this valid or should I look into getting two passes (1 Sweden, 1 Norway)?Thanks a lot!

Hi! Trying to order tickets from Munich to Warsaw. Train leaves at 19:46. I can buy the sleeper one for 100 euro with GlobalPass or for 3 euro make a reservation. Whats the diffrence? Why some might trains are free with pass but anothers are not?

Getting the following message when trying to book train from interlaken to wengen, is eurail global pass not covered to travel between lauterbrunnen and wengen. Am i missing something ? appreciate your help.

Hello,I'm about to go on my first trip to Europe with an interrail pass. Before I even set off, the first problem has already appeared.I booked a seat on the TGV from Munich to Paris for Wednesday the 21st. Booked on raileurope.com The train was supposed to leave at 8:35, so that's what I have on my reservation, but I got an email from SNCF saying that the departure time had been changed to 8:20 and that the ticket would be automatically updated.If I have a seat reservation where the departure time is 8:35, will that reservation still be valid after the change in departure time, or do I have to re-book the seat for the new time?A minor problem is that I can no longer book seats on that 8:20 train online via raileurope.What can I do now? Anyone can help me?  

Good afternoon!As the title says, everything was going smoothly with the eurail pass until we got to Switzerland. we bought a package for 3 adults that included a cable car from wengen-mannlichen, and a train ticket from kleine scheidegg-wengen with everything being discounted by 50% since we owned the pass and we only showed our activated passes to get the discount (NOT an active travel day). the issue came on the train ride where the ticket lady asked to see our tickets, which we showed, and proceeded to ask for our rail passes. we showed the activated passes but she asked to see the QR code from a travel day which we did not have. she immediately got visibly annoyed and said we have 30 seconds to activate a travel day otherwise she will fine us 270 CHF. since we were very confused, we said the guy we bought the tickets from only needed to see the active pass and she snapped (with very rude attitude) saying "too late you get the fine now"and proceeds to start writing it out. Bonjour, je pensais prendre un train de nuit d'Amsterdam à Bâle le 28 août, mais il semble qu'il ne fonctionne pas. Donc ça devient compliqué pour nous. Notre destination finale est Mulhouse. J'ai vu que nous pouvions passer par Paris mais je ne peux pas faire une réservation sur le site de la SNCF. Ça me semble cher... Auriez-vous des conseils à me donner ? pour un voyage sans avoir à changer de train 6 fois... traverser l'Allemagne ?Merci d'avance.
