Hi there,we want(ed) to go from Brennero to Roma on Sunday, 19/05/2024. Now Trenitalia will go in strike that day. We have a One-Country-Pass, but many trains are not included in this pass. Will it be possible to take these not included trains, if the included trains won’t run? And what about our (really expensive) seat reservatoins? We are travelling with a child. Unfortunately, it would be rather difficult to postpone the trip. Thanks for your help and have a nice eveningAnja
"Hi everyone, We have Interrail Global Passes and are currently in Vienna, having flown here from Germany. Our home country is Germany, and we haven't activated our passes yet. We plan to take a night train from Vienna to Zurich, which passes through Germany. Interrail Global Passes usually offer 2 travel days for inbound and outbound journeys in the home country. Will we be able to use our passes to travel back to Germany from zurich on this route? Thanks for your help!"
Hello, I booked a journey with the Öbb nightjet using my interrail ticket for discount. Does this count as a travelday? I did not make the reservation via the interrail site. I would love some help! Thank you so much
Hello! I’m trying to plan the final part of my trip this summer. I will be in Bohinj, Slovenia and must get to lake Garda, Italy. I’m going on Saturday July 6th. I have looked on multiple routes, all of which include at least 3-4 stops over 8-9 hours. I’m flexible with train/bus. Travelling day or night. I would like to avoid going back to Ljubljana but if that is the simplest way I’m open! So looking for shortest travelling route with as few stops as possible. thank you!
My wife and I each purchased a Senior 1st Class Eurail Global Mobile Pass, 15 days in Two months. My question is, do we need to download the app to both of our devices, or can we put the app on one device with both passes? I want to make sure that we can travel together on all trips and that when we reserve seats, that they are together. Our trip won’t begin until September 20, 2024.Thank you
I have made seat reservations on OBB and it says that I can download the PDF, but because I have protection on them, if I do that right now, they lose that. What happens if I click to see my tickets on the mobile app? Do they become a scannable ticket in the app or a PDF that I have to print? At first glance, it doesn’t look like any say that it’s required to print them out, but is there a way to make sure? Not all of my tickets are for places within Austria and from what I saw, it’ll be 50/50 if I can print them if I’m not in Austria (at least from an OBB station).
Just had a notification from DB app to say my reservation on 16th Aug is ‘cancelled’. Looking at the itinerary is not helpful, but has some German that mentions SJ and I know they’re upgrading things. Can’t get the rest of the message. Anyone else had this?Journey is 10.11 Koln Hbf > 14.14 Hamburg Hbf / 14.53 Hamburg Hbf > 19.50 Koebenhavn HAnyway, when I log on to my account on the desktop it saysOutbound journey: Timetable change.Due to timetable changes, information on your connection is no longer up to date. Please check the current travel options....and...Connection no longer availableUse any train: You can now also use your ticket for other trains.Alternative connection: Due to recent events, this connection is no longer available. Please find a new connection for your trip.I’ve searched and the journey is still there (albeit arriving in Copenhagen 1 minute earlier). DOes that mean my reservations are still valid?? The seats I have are not available if I go through the book
I have some of my train seat reservations made through OBB even though some of the destinations don’t evolve Austria (i.e., Rome to Milan, Milan to Zurich, Zurich to Munich). I saw many suggestions to use OBB and just saw for myself why it works out to use OBB. But I haven’t questioned if any downsides were using OBB for trains that don’t involve Austria. Should I be aware of anything that I might run into because of this? Or am I okay?
Hello, i was trying to get a night train from Prague to Budapest, specially the Euronight 477/ Intercity 577 Metropol, but it doesn’t appear in the rail planner app, however, i can find it con de oficial cd page. I do not understand why it happens. Should I add manually the trip on the rain planner app, and get the seat reservation in the cd website?. And i will continue having the same price as with the interrail pass (only the seat reservation has to he paid)?. Thanks.
Where can i find the page to print extra lines to record my trip on my paper pass?? (i cannot use the rail planner app with the pass i have)and the bot on the interrail page cannot answer my question.
Hi ice train destination curtailed and will terminate at Köln instead of Frankfurt is the reservation still valid to take that train to Köln? the DB portal only states that connection is no longer available and is not clear if the paid for reservation to Frankfurt is valid for the Brussels to Köln journey.
Hello everyone,First time travelling with interrail this summer.I have a 10 days pass, but I still have book 4 reservation, I need a bit of help 😥😥.I have booked most reservations on the interracial booking website, but still need to book this 4 trips:Wien Hbf - Prague Hlavni Nadrazi on the 7th of August at 7:10 am. Doesn't let me book on interrail site but I have found tickets on Cd.cz for around 15€ per person, which is fine I guess 🤷🏻. Prague Hlavni Nadrazi - Berlin Hbf on the 8th of August at 17:30, or any other time that day, it doesn't let me book on interrail site. If I book on int.bahn.de do I have to pay for full price tickets (50€ per person 💀) or can I flag the option "book seat only" (10€ per person)? Koebenhavn H - Stockholm Central on the 15th of August said tickets available 90 days before departure but now they say that they're unavailable on the interrail site. Stockholm - Oslo on the 17th of August still says to wait 90 days before departure to book on the interr
Dear Friends,We are a family of 3 adult persons looking to travel in early June 2024 from Milan to Venice and then from Venice to Florence & from Florence to Rome. We have a Eurail Global pass. when I googled for seat reservations. It was stated in the Eurail rail planner app that reset reservations are required. However, when I googled, I received a response that seat reservations are not required. So, I am a little confused about what needs to be done. Could someone please guide me if seat reservations are mandatory for these routes. Also I have gotten a monthly pass but I shall end my eurail train usage at Rome. Could you also guide me how to deactivate the pass & request for refund for the unused portion. How long will they take to refund? Thank you
I will be travelling from Barcelona to Cologne via Lyon and Brussel. I have no problems to make my seat reservations from Lyon to Cologne, but not from Barcelona to Lyon. I have a 5 day/ 1month euro rail pass .What I can see from this group that in Spain seat reservations can only be made at a ticket office. I will be travelling on 11 June and arrive in Barcelona on 9 June. Should 2 days before be enough to get 2 seats on this route, or can a seat reservation be bought before hand by phone, calling renfe?ThanksHorst
Do I need a seat reservation when travelling 1st class Eurail pass on train from Gent to Amsterdam in August 24? If the timetable says no seat reservation is needed, do I risk having to stand if train is full?
Can anyone recommend clean, child friendly hostels / air B&b to stay in around Italy that is affordable/ cheap ish ? thank you
Hi there, I’m travelling (family of 4) from Lille to Marseille (starting in UK), next Saturday 25th May. I wanted to check the seating plan for our TGV and in doing so I’m now having a mild panic. Our seat reservation for the TGV (from Rail Europe) states it’s the 14.01, 9830, from Lille. Arrives Marseille 18.50. This train also shows in the b-Europe website and the interail planner. So far so good.(Our Eurostar arrives into Lille at 13.26) But when I tried to find a seating plan, I went to the SNCf site and entered the train number and saw that the 9830 is listed as departing at 13.01 and couldn’t see a 14.01??? Is something odd going on that I should be concerned about? Thanks for any help! First pic is from the SNCf site, https://www.sncf-voyageurs.com/ This below, is from B-Europe. And of course I have my rail Europe booking that states it’s 14.01 as well. so it looks like you can actually still get seats on the 14.01 so it must be running right??

Hello, I'm a little confused about booking a trip with a group. We are a group of 8 people and we want to take an InterRail pass to visit Germany (coming from France). If we all book the same journey at the same time, will we be seated together on the train? Thanks you !!!
Hello,I'm part of a group of 4 or 5 planning to travel from London to Brindisi on 1 and 2 October later this year.I am planning to travel with an Interrail pass, because I am coming back by train the following week and it represents value for money, but the others are travelling only one-way and therefore on regular point-to-point tickets. The issue I'm trying to solve is: how do you buy Interrail reservations and regular tickets and make sure the group is seated together?(I found one other topic on this subject but it was about Ireland, where this problem doesn't appear)The parts of the journey requiring reservations and therefore where this comes up is:On 01/10/2024:08:01 London St Pancras > Paris Gare du Nord 11:28 (Eurostar 9008) 12:18 Paris Gare de Lyon > Genève 15:29 (TGV Lyria 9773)On 02/10/2024:10:13 Milano Centrale > Brindisi 18:24 (Frecciarossa 9805)I'd like to make sure we get table seats on each part and, in the case of the TGV, upper deck seats. Lastly, me being ab
Hi Friends, I’m trying hard to find seat reservation for ICE/TGV trains from Heidelberg/Mannheim/Karlsruhe to Paris. But seems for all the train DB website shows error message like “Reservation cannot be made”.Like this :However Raileurope website shows message like Seat reservation has to be made at station. Can someone please help me guide what could I do ?Does it mean that seats are really full or I have to make seat reservation locally from station in Germany ?I’m going to travel with family and toddler .. so don’t want to take chance.I will buy EUrail pass in case I get seats for at least 2 of my journey.Thank you great people.
I’ve just purchased seat reservations for a trip from Paris to Strasbourg through RailEurope. I was really surprised to read “Please print them on plain A4 paper before travel and present on board. Do not print in "economy mode" as this can make barcodes illegible. Please note that the tickets must be printed; they cannot be presented via a laptop or mobile phone screen.”This is not a big deal as I probably would have printed off a copy of the seat reservation anyway, but I have always in the past shown tickets whether they be seat reservations or actual tickets on my phone upon inspection. I have the RailEurope app and there are perfectly good images of the tickets obtainable through that app. Is there some reason that I am missing why they insist on having paper copies?Peter
