Hello all, we’re real excited to take my family of 5 kids to Europe at the end of May. One problem i’m having is reserving a train from Ravenna Italy to Interlaken Switzerland on June 8th. Looks like major trains from Ravenna go through Milan, so i’m trying to search from Ravenna to Milan but when I don’t get results for any dates past May 1st, does that mean I need to wait longer to book those?I also went to the regional train website : https://www.lefrecce.it/ and can find trains there however I couldn’t figure out how to book a reservation with my Eurailpass - just ability to purchase new tickets. Any help would be appreciated.thank you,Sam
After weeks of struggling to book and make seat reservations on a two months round Europe 1st class trip for two, I am giving up as, so far, I haven’t been able to leave the UK!!! My 30 years in the travel industry has failed to help me negotiate the incredibly complex booking convolutions. I now find I can’t even negotiate a refund. I am told to log in and go to “my pass” - that option does not appear. Anyone? So disappointed…………..
Hello everyone! I’m from Japan and would like to get your advice for my first trip to North Europe!I’m seeking your advice for transportation especially in Denmark and Norway. Here are my basic plans for now. My travel is in June 2024 and about 15 days and thiking to get eurail scandinavia pass for 4 or 5 days. 1. Start from Copenhagen to Hirtshals by train, 2. Hirtshals to Bergen by Ferry, 3. Bergen to Flam by train, 4. Flam to Oslo by train, 5. Oslo to Stockholm by train and 6. Stockholm to Helsinki by Ferry. My question is regarding 2,3,and 4 above around fjord. I heard that there is a tour ticket called nutshell but my travel plan is one way from Bergen to Oslo and I’m not sure if my plan is fit to the nutshell. So does anybody have advice for my trip between Bergen to Oslo and what is the best way to tranport? and also any advise how many days I should spend during this transport from Bergen to Oslo (one night stay in Flam necesarry)? I’m looking forward to getting many ideas
Hello everyone! My husband and I will be traveling for 3 and a half months in Europe arriving by cruise on August 4th to Southampton UK. We'll travel all around the UK for 3 weeks and then we are planning on taking the Eurostar to Amsterdam and spend the next 3 months visiting the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and back to Southampton by mid November. We bought the 3 months in a row Eurail Global pass but since it doesn't cover the whole time we are going to be there, I'm wondering when would be more convenient to activate it? Right after getting there and using it in the UK? (We bought first class and I read that UK is the best country to take advantage of it) or use it on time to take advantage of the 2 Eurostar trips (back and forth) I'm trying to make numbers and it seems that going from Italy to London it's going to be expensive so probably it’s wiser to use the Global pass for that trip? This will be our first time in Europe so we’d really appreciate any a
I have two days left on my interrail and have used bioth my inbound and outbound days to the UK.If I want to go to Paris, I understand that I have to get myself to St Pancras. But can I use my remaining day on the Eurostar. I know that I will pass UK border control before boarding the train, so technically the train is not in the UK, but what are the interrail rules? Is there a definitive answer?
Hi fellow Travellers! I want to bring my daughter to Finland for Christmas and I’m wondering when the timetable for Finland to Rovaniemi will be available? I’ve been looking at flights, but they all get in at ridicules times. Please help me out, as I am coming from Australia and want to make this Christmas perfect for my little one.I also want to hurry up and buy the accommodation but am yet to know how best to get there. So far my Europe trip is - From London train to Paris train to Amsterdam - fly Finland and train up and back to Rovaniemi then fly back from Helsinki to London. Thanks All, Cara
We will be traveling 14 days while in Italy. for 7 days we will be traveling the train from Cortona to Florence each day. So we will need to have use of the pass for 14 days. When I try to pick a pass it tells me 4 days in a month. I want access to the trains for 12 days. Can you still reserve seats and book train rides in advance with a Eurail Pass?Venice to Florence one dayFlorence to Cortona 8 daysCortona to Florence 8 daysCortona to Rome 3 days
Hi ! Need some help pleaseWe have 4 days on our global pass. We are going to Slovenia, by only using 2 trips, from Paris to ljubljana and then ljubljana to Paris. That means we have two more days of travelling available. And we wanted to go to Barcelona during the month our pass is activated with the 2 remaining days of our Global pass. Is it possible to do Paris - Barcelona and Barcelona- Paris , or does the pass only accept one inbound/outbound trip, so that means that we are obligated to use our 2 remaining daytrips outside of France ? Thank you ! Manon
Trying to book Geneva to Milan for 23/6 with Eurail pass directly with OBB, can see there are direct trains until 8/6 but none beyond this and haven’t been for some time. Have also tried domodossola. Will these be released at a later time?

HI All, We recently joined and are looking at buying a 10 day pass. We plan to travel to three countries in May over 10 days. How do we book a train from London to Paris using our Euro global pass? I jumped on the eurostar but its charging me the normal fare? There isnt anything on their website that offers a discount for global pass holders. We then want to book regional trains from Paris to Bordeaux and San Sebastian.. How do we go about doing that? using our global pass.
When trying to get seat reservations for London-Edinburgh Eurail indicates that I need to get those through the rail carrier. Eurail says the carrier is “East Coast (GR)“ but I don’t know what railway company this is. In Eurail’s list of companies in Great Britain, with links to their sites, there is nothing that resembles this. I am assuming it is the LNER as they run most of the east coast trains. Does anyone know what the carriers are that match Eurail’s reference?
Looking at travelling between Amsterdam and Dusseldorf on ICE international, 6th April. The interrail planner says I need a supplement, where do I buy this from?
I see in travel planing “Transfer by public transportation “ from one station to other. Are those transportation free for EUrail pass?
We want to travel from Madrid to Lisbon in July. However there are no routes available yet so is there any chance to look it up elswhere?Afterwards we want to travel from Lisbon to Valencia. Is this possible to do in one day and if yes, any suggestions which route is the best? Thanks in advance :)
Hi, if I use my Eurail pass to get a 25% discount on the Schlithorn - do I lose a travel day? Also - I don’t see a Eurail discount for the Schilthorn Brunch option. IS it not offered for that?
Please can you help? I keep trying to add my pass but it says over and over again, “something went wrong, please try again or contact customer service if this keeps happening” I have contacted them but have read that it can take days for them to reply.I start travelling next week so am worried! thanks

I have a reservation to arrive at CDG on a Friday in May this year and hope to depart soon after for Strasbourg by TGV and know a reservation is required. It is sometimes slow and difficult to get from the plane through immigration and customs. I should have 2 hours between arrival and departure of the TGV (morning). There is another 2 hrs 23 minutes later. Since arrival is on a Friday morning I expect the TGV demand to be high and am watching it now. If I were sure of the trip I could make a reservation now but plan to wait about another month. One strategy is to book the earlier departure knowing that if the plane flies at all I could make the later TGV. Another is just the opposite, i.e. book the earlier thinking that if it becomes clear that I can’t catch it in time I could possibly change the reservation to the later TGV. My wife will be waiting at CDG and will know the status of the flight and could make the change if it is clear we wont make the early TGV. She will be at
Hi travellers!I was trying to make reservations for the NJ402 from Zurich to Utrecht on the 25th of July for me and my family. Somehow I can make reservations from Basel to Utrecht (same train?) but not from Zurich to Utrecht. According to the obb app we should take a separate IC from Zurich to Basel and board the NJ there. Any idea what could be the problem?
We are a group of four travelling from different parts of the UK to continental Europe via London. We will be meeting at London St Pancras to take the Eurostar. For example, one of us will be travelling from Manchester to Bruges via London. Another one from Brighton to Bruges via London. How do we make sure the interrail app books seats for us as a group (or at least on the same trains) from London onwards?I am assuming that if we set up a group too early, we won't be able to travel separately from different parts of the UK to London. And if we set up a group too late, we may end up on different trains and with seats far apart.
Hi! I am new to this forum and planning our first trip via train in Europe. It is very overwhelming, but I think I understand, but would like help to confirm. Here is our itinerary for the first week of Aug (family of 4)Day 1: Paris - Geneva Day 2: Geneva-Montreaux then Montreux-Interlaken (Goldenpass express) Day 3: Interlaken-Milan Day 4: Milan-VeniceI am planning on buying the Eurail 1st class flexible pass (4 days in 1 month pass)My question is: Once I buy my Eurail pass, where do I book seats for these segments? My understanding is that the Eurail site isn’t quite up to date (and doesn’t go that far out) and so seat reservations should be made directly on TGV, sncf, Trenitalia or other sites? I already booked my seats for GoldenPass express directly on gpx site. Thank you in advance!
Hello everyone I have taken interrail global pass. I have a series of doubts, please excuse me if I sound ignorant. Since I don’t live anywhere near London, I am quite new to the idea of using the rail to travel Europe. My questions:I thought the interrail pass would be valid only from the day we start using it. And yet, when I was purchasing it, I had to enter a date in the box. Likewise I was not offered an option for email pass, I had to order a physical pass. Email would have been cheaper, but in my case, I wouldn’t lose it as well. Do you think I may have missed something and got it all wrong and ended up with a paper pass? This information would be helpful for future purchases of pass. I have gone for an interrail pass that allows me 7 days of travel within one month. I actually would like to travel to Brussels, Anrwerp, Cologne, Berlin and back, from Manchester, preferably in September. Do I need to do reservations for any of these journeys? Can I include Manchester to London wi
