Hi… I’m going for Euro Trip after attending a meeting and conference in Krakow Poland. The train journey will start from Krakow Poland to London (via Eurostar).I will share my itinerary as below ⬇️ I need an assistance to reassure whether I am in the right place or not doing such booking and should I proceed with purchasing the 2 or 3 wks EuRail Pass?I was thinking of bringing my Medium size wheeled luggage too.And looking at my planner above few journey (within Italy) needs seat reservation with extra payment. Is it possible to avoid the extra payment on seat reservation or how does it work. And how would the weather like in Europe during end of April to Mid May 2024. I have browse the weather forecast too.Thanking you in advance for your help, asssitance and advice. Cheers,Mai OMAR
Hello,I would like to travel from Milan to Leipzig on my last day of travel (06.05.24). I have the Global Pass 4 days in 1 month. (Trip start April 29, 2024).I would like to use the night train from Zurich to Leipzig for this purpose (no further journey after that). I would like to use the IC carriage with seats (IC 60409: 19:59 - 04:48).My question about this: Does the Interrail ticket cover the travel day May 6th? the journey from Milan to Zurich and also the entire night train journey from Zurich to Leizpig in the IC carriage of the night train? And can I really use the DB seat reservation for €4.90 for this train?Thank you
Can I use the eurail global pass for the Gotthard Express and the Volarpen Express Trains in Switzerland?
Hello, my girlfriend and I want to go from Stockholm to Goteborg in August this year (August 15th). We have already booked the Interrail ticket, but it is not possible to book a reservation for any train. The latest train where I could book a reservation would be on June 3rd. Starting with June 4th, I cannot find any single train on any date where I could book a reservation. Is every single reservation after June 3rd outbooked, or can I only try to book the reservation like 3 months before the trip (like in Germany) or so? Thank you in advance for all answers (and sorry if my english is not the best ;) )!
My Interrail route is going to be Vienna-Venice-Milano-Nice-Montpellier-Barcelona-Valencia-Madrid. is this route going to be 6 or 7 travel days? thanks for the help
I was gifted a Interrail Global Pass - Flexi Pass: 7 days within 1 month with start date 5. June 2024.Am i able to exchange this pass, although i didn’t pay for it or postpone it?
My friend and I both have 1st class Eurail passes. I am very confused as what these cabin reservations mean?Is it one single cabin for the both of us?Is it a 1st class single cabin each? What is the difference between the two?Is it actually direct an I also looked on another site and the exact same train journey has a 40 minute connection? (I don’t know if this is the ferry?) Advice would be greatly appreciated I just don’t want to make a mistake! Thanks :)
How do you book flam rail tickets using eurail discount?
I’ve booked some seats on some trains in Italy for two people. Our seats our 18A and 19A, 6A and 7A etc. does this mean we’re sat next to each other, or are we in seperate rows?
Folks, many years ago, I used Interrail a lot. in the 80s, the passes were dirt cheap, covered all countries and more or less all trains, and the rules were as easy as ordering a coffee in a café before Starbucks was invented.but I’m not here to complain, at least not only.I’m planning to travel to Italy in a few weeks. There is no direct border between Germany and Italy, of course. as far as I know, there is a rule that you can travel in your home country to reach the destination country. But what if there is Switzerland or Austria in between? Is that included? Do I need a global pass?
So I will be doing a rail trip with my partner starting on March 21 and going until march 30th being final rail travel day. I have the 5 day Eurail pass but have some questions regarding seat reservations and not being able to find trains to reserve seats on RailEurope when they are on Eurail rail planner appTrains are:Train 1: Origin: London St Pancras Intl , Destination: Amsterdam Centraal , Date: 03/21/2024 ,Departure time: 11:04-16:15 ---- Seat reservation bought through EurostarMy comments: Bought already, locked in, the only ones I could findTrain 2: Origin : Amsterdam Centraal, Destination: Berlin Hbf, Date: 03/23/2024 ,Departure time: 11:33 - 17:51 ---- Seat recommended? My comments: If I understand Eurail “seat recommended” I can sit in any unoccuppied seat, but dont have to pay to reserveTrain 3: Origin : Berlin Hbf, Destination: Krakow Glowny, Date: 03/26/2024 ,Departure time: 11:52 - 21:27 ---- Seat recommended? My comments: Open to adjustments, not on RailEurope, but others
We’ll be travelling thoughout France July 18 through August 18, including Olympics in Paris. We have an Eurail pass in hand. Normally we wouldn’t be able to book trains this early, but Paris 2024 says we can book as of tomorrow March 13. At least for travel within France. Does anyone know or expect that on March 13 we can book for this period though Eurail’s main site, or will we have to book through SNCF or some other site?
I am travelling from München, Germany to Ghent, Belgium on the 12th of April (leave at 10:30, arrive at 18:57) and I want to reserve seats on the website from Deutsche Bahn since we’ll be carrying a lot of luggage. I go to their website, and try to do that. It works to select seats for the parts within Germany, but when I press continue to select the seats, it suddenly says “Seat selection no longer possible”. I have no idea why. I tried again, and can always select the exact seats, but I’m left with that message in the end always. What to do?
Hello guys, me and my friend are trying to find a train leaving Istanbul on the 26th of July. We‘d like to go to Greece, but we cannot count on Hellenic Trains, anybody know something about international trains to Greece, Montenegro or Macedonia or ferries included in the interrail ticket from Turkey? Kind regards
I’m looking to take the Leman Express service L1 from Annemasse to Geneva at 10:05 on 6th April but this is not appearing in the search in the app. It appears some other L1 line services are also missing. Is there a reason for this? If I catch this train I can’t add it to my mobile pass in the app so what if I get a ticket check?
Hello, I am trying to plan a Europe trip for my honeymoon in late October, beginning of November of 2025. Me and my fiancé are thinking of flying into Paris, staying for three days (one day trip to Versailles), then taking a train to Brussels, staying there three days (one day trip to Antwerp) then lastly taking a train to Cologne and staying for 3-4 days there then flying back home out of Cologne. I know I will need the global pass, but I am confused on how it will work. So, do the day trips count as a day of travel used on the pass? If so, since they will be round trips, does the trip to the destination and the trip back count as two trips total? I just want to know how many days of travel I need to purchase for the global pass. I don't want to purchase too much/too little. Also, I am also wondering if I will be able to book seat reservations through the Eurail app for the cross-country train travel in the countries I listed above after I purchase my global pass. Will the seat reserv
I am going from Salzburg to Venice. I found a train on ÖBB railjet IC898 RJ131 departing 8:12 am arriving 2:05 pm on Omio.com. But it’s not listed on Eurail.com. I bought a eurail pass. How do I make a reservation on this train . Other listed takes 2 hours longer. Appreciate any help.
I have a Euro Rail Global Pass for my wife and I, both Australian Senior Citizen. Our planned Itinerary for Italy and Switzerland are starting on 31 May 2024:Castiglion Fiorentino (attending a wedding) to Naples (2 nights in Naples), From Naples to Florence (2 nights), Florence to Venice (2 nights), Venice to Milan (1 night). We will come back to Rome for 2 night stay to take our flight back to Australia on 17 June Travelling to Switzerland on 7 June travelling as per below trajectory: Milan to St. Moritz via Bernina Express (1 night), St. Moritz to Zermatt (2 nights) using Glacier Express, Zermatt to Interlaken (3 nights) using local/regional train. From Interland we will try to cover Jungfrau, Mount Pilatus, Mount Titlis and a day trip to Geneva using Golden Line.Given train travel in Italy is not that expensive and we do no really need first class travel we intend to amend our Euro Global Pass dates from 22 days to 10 days just to cover Switzerland. That will save me probably A$$800
Hi, I like to ask , can I buy or book a train tickets from another station ? If I plan to department from Paris Montparnasse to Mont St Michel , do I need to go down to Paris montparnasse to book the train ticket or I could go to other paris main train station to book my tickets?
We’ve bought interrail tickets and I’ve just bought a Eurostar ticket for August and received the E-ticket. However it doesn’t tell us where we’re sitting and didn’t ask us where we wanted to sit. Should I have seat numbers? Is it because it’s so far in advance? I’m hoping we’re together as we have a young-ish child! Also we have some friends who want to book separately and want to try to book seats near us. Postscript - I’ve just received a separate email saying I need to validate the tickets with Eurostar to get the seat numbers. Keeping this post up in case it helps others...

bonjournous sommes une famille de 3 et recherchons à aller à Venise en train de nuit depuis Vienne. Avec le pass interail c’est 200€ par personne. ça me parait excessif ! Nous avons déjà fait des trains de nuits en Europe et même en 1ère classe, ça ne dépasse jamais 40€ par personne.Est ce quelqu’un a une expérience de ce voyage ?
Hello, I was trying to add journey in Rail planner from Brussels Midi to Amsterdam Central on 19th April at 6.45 departure and returning on the same day at 18.28 pm for a day trip. This seems to be a 2.50 mins long journey and a direct one too. However, I came across the supplement required for the same needs to booked either on-board, online or at the station. I tried to book it online but couldn't find any proper instructions on the site.So the question is, is this mandatory? If yes,how to go ahead? If No, then I am very concerned that without any seat reservation, we might not be able find any available seat in the train. It can be fully occupied. Or in an unfortunate case, extra amount to pay if caught travelling without proper seat reserved tickets.Kindly guide. Thanks in advance.
Dear everyone,I am trying to book a reservation from Paris to Barcelona using my Interral 2nd class pass. However, the interrail websites say that prices are unavailable. I assume that means that all passholder availabilities are used up? In other forum posts, I read the recommendation to call SCNF and try booking that way. However, according to the interrail website, they only accept American Express as payment, which I do not have.On the SCNB website I found only first class reservations for the date I need to travel. But I presume it’s not possible to book that with my 2nd class pass/to upgrade it for one reservation?Thank you very much in advance! Any help is much appreciated.Eva
Hi,I’m going to Switzerland and Italy with my family (2 adults, 2 youths), and am having a hard time figuring out if it’s worth buying a Eurail or Swiss Half Fare or both...here’s my itinerary…May 6 - Land in MunichMay 8 - Munich to LuzernMay 9 - Luzern to Interlaken to Wengen (stay 3 days and travel Jungfraujoch and several other local trains/gondolas)May 12 - Wengen to Zermatt (2 days)May 14 - Zermatt to Milan (1 day)May 15 - Milan to Como to Menaggio (3 days)May 18 - Menaggio to Como (2 days)May 20 - Como to Milan MXP (1 day then fly home)Does it make sense to buy Eurail Global 4 days for the Munich to Luzern, and then the Zermatt to Como, Como to Menaggio, Menaggio to Como, Como to Milan, and use a Swiss Pass when in Switzerland? It wasn’t clear to me if Eurail gets me anything other than the major routes and a 25% discount on Jungfraujoch. Also, Swiss full pass vs half fare?Any other advice would be welcomed as well!
