Finally bridging the gap again! Trains are back from Groningen (NL) to Leer (DE) 10 years and 10 months after the Friesenbrücke (railway bridge) was damaged. Regional operator Arriva runs every hour on this cross-border railway line, with connections in Leer towards Bremen and Hamburg.
Most services require a change in Winschoten for the time being during the week, while direct trains from Groningen to Leer run during weekends.
