Solved

I have checked the rail planner app, and Rail Europe.Railplanner states £6 reservation fee for all trains from Sunderland to London. However rail europe states no reservation required. This has confused me, and Im wondering how to log the journey as free.

Hi all,I am travelling through Italy, France, Switzerland and Slovenia this April-June, and I am trying to determine the best value option for train travel. My first journey will be on April 22, my last on June 3. I’ve listed every planned train journey below.I’m trying to determine the best-value option. Should I get a Eurail pass, a Swiss Pass, or a combination of passes and single fare tickets? Are all the below trips worth using a whole day of a pass, or are some/all of the journeys short enough/regional enough for a standalone ticket to be better value? If so, what days would you use a pass on? What pass would you suggest?Complicating things somewhat is the fact I’m travelling with my partner up until Lyon, and we would obviously like to be seated together on those train journeys we take. He has the option of buying a shorter pass too, if it represents good value. I’ve indicated Naples > Rome Florence > Pisa > Lucca > Florence (Day trip) Florence > Cinque Terre (prob

I planned on traveling from Bayeux France to Paris on Mon 1-Sep. The reservation page show there are no trains that day. Is that possible?

I have a Global Pass 1st class. I’ll be travelling next March and April from Brussels to Berlin, from Berlin to Vienna, from Vienna to Ljubljana, from Ljubljana to Venise. Réservations are not required, not compulsory, but I’d like to know if it would be  better to reserve to make sure I have a seated place. Thank you.

Hi, I will be travelling to those cities mentioned from March 14th, to MArch 31st, 2025, what in your consideration, would be my besto choice to purchase a ticket? Im travelling with my whole family. Appreciate your comments, :)

I'm travelling from zurich to prague on 27 March 25 but have been unable to make any reservation on any of the apps/ sites for the direct night train ( leaving zurich at 19.56 arriving prague 09.13am the next morning .I understand that this is possibly because the seats have sold out however will I be able to just board the train on the off chance that I can find a seat or worst case sit on baggage on floor? I have a 15 day in 2 month interrail global pass but my itinerary is tight on days so don't really want to use more days than absolutely necessary please help

How do I start my trip planning on the Eurail app?I would like to be able to stop at many different places along the way

HalloA friend and I are going on interrail from end of June to July for around 30 days. We are planning to visit Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Ljubljana, Milano or some other city in Italy, Marseille/Lyon, Paris and Amsterdam, but we also want to be flexible and not lock anything in.So how long should we book hostels eks. in advance? It would be nice to book doing the trip, but not end up sleeping in some extremely sketchy place.Does anyone have some experience with this?(I could not find any answers which was not from 2 years ago, where covid was still a large factor)

Hello! I am looking for a travel time between France to Italy using this train? I’ve looked all over and I can not see a clear time between the two. Thank you!

1/Can anyone tell me when TGV tickets in France will be released for travel on 14 May? 2/ if i am making the UK leg of my outward and return journeys on trains that state no reservation required, how do i go about putting it on my global pass? Thanks

Hi everyone,  on the Eurail map in front of me, I see coloured lines. There is a red line from Toulouse in France, via Latour de Carol, Puigcerdá to Barcelona. In other words,  according to this map, I can go that route with Eurail. However,  when I enter this in the planner, there is no option such as this. How does this work?

Hi everyone, we will be traveling with Eurail in April. I wanted to include Northern Spain, but it seems as if most trains are not part of the Eurail network?Does anyone have experience here, and some advice? Thanks!

Hey everyone,I will be travelling on a One-Country France Pass through France. I live in Germany close to the border and want to take the local train Offenburg-Kehl-Strasbourg to cross the border. I also own a Deutschlandticket which is valid up to the borderpoint Kehl (Gr) (which is a few metres further than the physical train station of Kehl). My question is if I need an additional ticket for the section Kehl (Gr) to Krimmeri-Meinau (first stop in France) or if my interrail will also cover this stretch.Maybe this is kind of similar to Basel SNCF/SBB being included in the one-country France pass.Any suggestions?

HiIm trying to reserve seats from Nice to Paris on 12th July and thre are no options.  I have gone back a few days and it the same thing. when i clickon a train it goes form being available to not being available. I went on the SNCF website and it says something about Urban travel Im confused as I booked Paris to Nice on the 27th June okany ideas?? thanks

I am trying to buy a ticket on a specific train that a friend of mine already has a ticket for. I want to travel from London to Paris on May 10, leaving at 16:31. I know the train number is 9040, but I am not sure which station in London is the one I need. (Her ticket says “Eurostar Plus”.) I’m trying to book this on the Eurail website, not Eurostar, which saves a lot of money. Thanks in advance for your help.

Compré un pase de 22 días, que aún no vence y me restan 13 días de viaje pero la aplicación no me está dejando hacer ninguna reservación, que puede estar pasando??

I seem to be getting conflicting views as to whether I can travel from Zagreb to Split using a Eurail Pass.

I am planning on travelling to Europe from the United States for my first trip in May, visiting England, France, Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden (and maybe more). I am probably going to purchase the Eurail Global Pass to travel from country to country. My first stop is in England; next will be France. I’m not clear as to whether the Eurail Global Pass includes the train from London to Paris. Can you tell me if it does? If not, what additional ticket do I need to purchase, and how do I purchase it (is there a website? do I purchase in advance or at the time of travel? anything else I need to know?) Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am planning to go in roumania for the summer and I am checking if it is interesting to buy an interrail pass. But I cannot figure out if we can book beds in night trains, for exemple from cluj to Suceava, or Suceava o Bucharest. I did not buy my pass yet, and when I select the train, they only offer first class or second class seats, and not beds. Is it possible ?

Hello, we are looking for the best way to come back home from Berlin to Barcelona. We would like take a night train and go as direct as possible. Which option could you recemend? Thanks

Hola! Gracias!!!!

Due to illness I had to cancel my reservation (today) for the Superfastferry Bari - Patras. The only way to do so is via emal: Online bookings can only be cancelled by email to helpdesk@attica-group.com .I mailed them several times, without any reply. Does anyone have any experience on this topic? I might face a problem when I try to book a new trip.

Hello,I need to make reservations on the Berliner EC 387 train from Praha to Berlin, for 4 passengers. Should I select “Separate ticket for each passenger”?  I will be using EUrail Global pass for each passenger.Thank you!Kirill

Hello, I’m looking to book a reservation from Paris to Zurich but the SNCF site only seems to allow reservations nationally, within France. Any advice about booking reservations across borders would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Nick
