Hi, Im Rachel and I am from the Philippines. I’ll be travelling to Eu this coming November.  My destiinations are, Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, Switzerland and Paris. I was Wondering what to avail for the tickets for transfer? What should I get exactly? Is my 1 yr old free of charge or not? Thankyou for your help!

Hello everyone, from the beginning of november till christmas I want to travel thorough eastern europe and am thinking about doing a stop in istanbul and athens as well. For some of the stops that I want to take I can’t find a connection, not on google and not in the railway app. Do you have advice on how to find a connection? I saw that you can take busses as well? Thanks for your help!Hannah :)

Hey ! I plan to travel with Interrail in november and I would like to end my trip with Tallin (I would come from Stockholm) and Krakow before my return to Paris. I am totally flex about Krakow, I can change for Warsaw or even Vilnius if I can come back to Paris after. But I don’t find any connexions between those cities.I know that there was no train but I read there is now one (here : https://www.lefigaro.fr/voyages/relier-la-france-aux-pays-baltes-en-train-c-est-desormais-possible-grace-a-cette-nouvelle-ligne-20231221) so my question is : is there really a train Tallinn-Krakow (or Tallinn-Warsaw or Tallin-Vilnius) ? Or can’t I find it because of the weather ? If it is the case, do you think it would be repared before my trip ?Thank you in advance, Marie

Hello! We are travelling with our 2nd class eurail pass, 2 of us, in the coming weeks. We have a few trains with “seat reservations optional” mainly in Switzerland, and we are just wondering what the thoughts of the community are, as to whether we need to purchase these? Is it common on these routes? We don’t mind having to move seats for others or sit apart if we have to, but would ideally like to avoid the ground or standing… haha. Since it’s not high season, I wonder if we’ll be ok?  JOURNEYS• IC680 Lugano to Luzern 24/10. • PE2926 Luzern to Interlaken 25/10.• IC817 Interlaken to Zurich 27/10.• EC191 Zurich to Munich 28/10.• ICE1110 Munich to Berlin 30/10.• IC146 Berlin to Amsterdam 1/11. We are leaning towards YES for the bottom 3 and no to the others based on journey length but open to advice. Also, which websites are the most cost effective for these reservations?

Hello! How are you?I re-open a discussion about this topic to see if there are news for the next year.I am thinking about a 15 days in 2 months pass, there is a 110 euro difference between first and second class.I already used a first class pass, in 2023, and it was ok. Not huge advantages, but ok. I liked first class with the Eurostar (Italy) and I think the reservation fee was mostly the same price. More space in Spain, nice lounge in Vienna. More availability in general and reservations costs are, in the continental area, almost the same (I avoided France). In Germany I did not notice huge difference between 1l2 class. Bulgaria and Romania, you must anyway adapt a bit.I used a lot of night train, but with bed, so there the first class is not helping at all.I read that first class is particularly good if travelling in UK, but I am not planning it.Do you have some particularly good experience?I am searching feedback in particular about Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway)

Hello, my name is Marco and I am new in the community. The question is about travelling to Spain from Italy. I don’t have a lot of time and I would like to visiti in three weeks just Spain and Portugal, and I noticed that the trains to go there are more expensive than a plane (around 20/30 euro). Do you think it would make sense to travel with the plane to spare money and time, and then activate the pass once I’ll be there? thank you

Looking at buying a 5 or 7 day pass now and using in March 2025. We fly into Zurich mid month and plan to train it to Interlaken. Then on to Strasbourg, Belgium and Amsterdam. Those trips I want to book close to the day as they will be at the mercy of flights. However I want to book the train from Amsterdam to London as early as possible as we will be flying out of London in the evening of our train to London.  Can I buy now, activate for March and book our last train at the end of March now?

Hello, I am a German citizen but have lived in Indonesia for several years. This December I will go to Germany and Italy with my child. My child is a German and Indonesian citizen and lives in Indonesia. My question is, what ticket should I buy for me and my child. Eurrail or Interrail? Thank you, James

Hi, I want to go interrailing from Greece (Athens) to Bulgaria. Does anyone have tips for trains and the best route to take?

I am looking to travel on AVE from Zaragoza to Madrid. I hold a Interrail Global Pass in first class and would like to travel in first class with lounge access and meal service, the so-called Confort Prémium. This special seat reservation should cost around 23€ as opposed to the 10€ for “basic” first class where the only advantage is a wider seat. My sources are Seat61 and this brochure. However, I am having a hard time booking this:I won’t arrive in Spain till the very day I’m travelling, and since it’s a Sunday evening, I fear my train may be sold out by then, so buying it at a Renfe ticket office is hardly an option.   The employee at the Renfe call centre eagerly promoted the pre-booking option where you can call and book a seat, then pick it up at a Renfe ticket office within 72 hours. There is a “24 hour before departure” limit - on the internet it seems pre-bookings cannot be initiated after this time, but she gave me the impression that pre-bookings cannot be picked up after thi

Hi. Are there trains from porto to Fatima (the sanctuary of our lady of Fatima) Portugal?  If not, what will be the best way to go? Thanks

I have my rail pass and I purchased seat reservations and the supplement is included.  To use the pass I am trying to add my journey to the pass on the app.  The journey says seat reservation and supplement required and does not add. The toggle in my trip is grayed out. Can I just select use travel day and board with my seat assignment ticket that I printed?

Hi all First time interrailing here so it is possible I am being stupid but when trying to book our first sleeper train from copenhagen airport to berlin hbf I cannot for the life of me find out where to book a reservation and all I see is this [pictured]. I understand sometimes you need to book this reservation with third parties but none of the suggested ones seem to even have this train listed? Does this simply mean that this train is already fully booked or am I making a mistake? Many thanks

Hi, I’m trying to plan a trip from Sevilla to Lisbon to Nazare to Porto and then to Bilbao. Then I would find a way to France after Bilbao. None of these trips seem very straight forward and any travel between Portugal and Spain seems difficult. Is there a best way to get to get to Lisbon from Spain either from Sevilla or elsewhere. And is there a recommended route to get from Porto back into Spain? Any help is appreciated.

Hello,I would like to share my experience with Renfe trains in Spain on the Cádiz - Seville Santa Justa route on October 4, 2024, which my wife, our one-year-old child, and I encountered during our recent holiday. Renfe train departed on time at 7:35 from Cádiz and was supposed to arrive in Seville at 9:08. Due to a train breakdown, we arrived in Seville at around 12:00 by a replacement bus. Of course, such incidents can happen, but unfortunately, this was not just an ordinary trip but part of our journey home, as our flight to Krakow was scheduled to depart from Seville airport at 11:35. Unfortunately, the plane did not wait for us, so we had to arrange accommodation and an alternative flight back to Poland. We incurred unexpected costs for a hotel in Seville, transportation to the hotel, and, of course, another flight home. It’s also worth noting that there was no flight to Krakow, where our car was parked, so we had to travel an additional 500 kilometers from another airport in Pola

I used now my 5th journey from the Interrail EU pass in Switzerland and suddenly the QR code is not shown in the pass anymore. (Android) Is there any problem? I fear the penalties due to not having a valid pass ...

Hi, we (3 of us) are traveling from Lisbon, Portugal to Granada, Spain. Please does someone knows if there is an overnight train?, do we need to do seat reservations, and how long is taking. Thanks

Hello.  We will be first timers using the OBB system.  We purchased tickets for 6 December departing at 7:40 AM from Vienna to Budapest.  The tickets are Sparschiene tickets and are for train number RJX267.  We received notice (below) that there was a change in the timetable and that our ticket is valid, but that we need to check for alternative trains/services.  I checked the alternative services, and it looks like all that changed is that the RJX267 train leaves at 6:40 on 6 December rather than 7:40. Is my understanding correct?  Are we just to arrive earlier at the station and take the RJX267 train which now leaves at 6:40?  Also, we purchased seat reservations when we bought our tickets.  Do those seat reservations remain the same since the train number is the same? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi i am planning my trip from Germany to Schweiz and then Roma my question is with global pass am I allowed to take all train like in Schweiz city train and bus or just from one country to another? Thanks in advance for helping

Hello everyone, I’m planning a rail trip from London to Aigle and back early Jan 2025, but the timetable isn’t on the app.  But I could book on Trainline? When will timetables be on the app for early 2025?

I have read in several places that making domestic AVE reservations should now be possible using Eurail online reservations? Is this the case?I have tried several trains (about two weeks in advance) including Barcelona-Madrid, and Madrid-Seville, but nothing shows available.
