Hello all,Wondering if someone can assist me. I’ll be travelling on the 29th of October from Zurich to Munich - when searching for a direct route on this date, nothing appears. However, other dates do show availability. Is there an event that is causing the lack of direct route options? If so, what are your best recommendations? Stop via Innsbruck, Stuttgart or Lindau? Thank you so much!

I would like to travel from Brussels to Budapest, and the following is itinerary is offered by all major reservation services:ICE at 16:32 from Brussels to Cologne / 12 minutes transfer time / ICE from Cologne to Mannheim / 7 minutes transfer time / ICE from Mannheim to Augsburg / 22 minutes transfer time / Euronight at 23:02 from Augsburg to Budapest direct .Zugfinder.net gives overall 50% chance that these connections would actually work, based on delay statistics. Based on experience with DB I also think it is a high-risk gamble. If it does not work out there is still a regular IC train to get later from Augsburg to Vienna overnight, to catch an early morning train to Budapest.I am willing to take the chance, but am wondering about the validity of the Interrail travel day. With the Euronight train, it would be sufficient to use one travel day for the whole trip, as it leaves Augsburg at 23:02 and goes to Budapest directly. But the later IC leaves only after midnight at 0:20 and also

Hi ! I’m planning a trip from France to Scotland with my bike. On the routes Dover-London and Edinburgh-Inverness, no seat reservations are required but i need to book one space for my bike. Is it possible to reserve a cycle space without reserving a seat? How? Thanks for your help.

Hey all. Just wondered if anyone knows what the recent Stockholm to Berlin Snälltåget night train punctuality has been like? I have reservations back to Brussels the Tuesday morning (28th), but these are all out of whack due I think to some major engineering works in Germany. Trying to grab some more reservations but not sure it'll be worth booking something out of Berlin before 10.00 if it's arrival time of 08.47 is unrealistic. Also, may consider hopping off at Hamburg if it is expected to be delayed... Thanks

I try to make a reservation for the Railjet service (15.54) from Buchs to Innsbruck on the 31th of october. I tried it a for the last few days, I tried to do this via different websites, but the oebbtickets.at is clear: “currently not reservable”.It seems to be there is construction work upcoming or some timetable information is missing. I can't find info for construction work and the train is not missing in the rail planners. Is there a way to find out if this train is running on this day? Otherwise I have to chacnge some plans. Thank you for your help!

Good afternoon,We have an interrail pass 1° class. I want to make reservations for me and my partner. His name I’ve also added in my “travel trip”. But … normally I book everything via interrail.eu. But there keeps popping up the result only for 1 traveller. But when I go to eurrai.com I can book as well, and there is popping up automatically the info for 2 pers. What is the reason for this? And does it make a difference if I book via EUrrail or Interrail?(I”ve screenshots but we can’t add this on this forum). Thanks for your support!

Hello, I recently came back from a fantastic interrail journey with two friends trough Sweeden and Danemark that went almost perfectly. However, on the first day of travel, we were unlucky enough to have our ICE train to Hamburg delayed and then cancelled wich prevented us from taking our booked night train from there to Stockholm. We are now compiling the formular to get a refund but we don’t really know what we are entitled to ask as refund… I know that there are european laws that regulate what and how companies should refund to travellers in the event of a problem that bar them from continuing their journey on the same day (hotel refund, tickets for the next day and food if I’m not mistaken), but I didn’t find a specific explanation for refunds if travelling with interrail. Furthermore, Deutsche Bahn told us at the station that they would “maybe” look for a refund of the hotel, but wouldn’t for the night train we’ve lost, the seat reservations we’ve had to pay the next day to contin

Hi community,I need guidance on whether to go with a 15-day pass or a 30-day continuous pass. The cost per day for each will be AUD 163 per day per person and AUD 106 per day per person, respectively, but obviously, a 30-day pass is AUD 650 expensive. We are travelling in mid-September: 2 Adults and 2 children (14 and 11). The pass for 11 is free. Our itinerary starts from London and ending in Rome London (4 days) Brussels (5 days) - planning day trips to Amsterdam, Luxemburg, Cologne Paris (5 days) - 2 at Disney Geneva (5 days) - planning day trips across various regions in Switzerland Barcelona (4 days) - day trip to Madrid Nice for a quick day (to Monaco) Italy (5 days) - Planning day drip to Pisa / VeniceI appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi Interrail community,I want to travel to UK/ Glasgow by train and I thought about using interrail. With the global pass, I could use trains in UK right?Probably I will have some extra costs for train reservations?(I want to arrive in Glasgow 26 of October and be back in Munich at 30th of October) Thanks for tipps!Katha

Dear community,This is my first time using the Eurail pass I aim to begin in Leipzig next week and travel during the dates Aug 26 till Sep 10 reaching my destination of Greece, Athens. Is using the Euro rail pass make sense for this scenario and can I just get on any train and go to my next destination? So far my Itinerary:Train from Leipzig to Vienna: Day 1Bus from Vienna to Budapest: BusAnd the rest is up in the air any suggestions on remaining travel route and if my idea for using the Eurail pass this way makes sense.  thank you

Can I do a round trip consuming one day of my pass? For example: Brussels-Brugge in the morning and return in the evening. Thanks!

I’m planning to travel from London to Osnabrueck via Brussels and Koeln at the end of this month. The train from Brussels to Koeln has a reservation fee that depends on what time you catch the train. If I buy a reservation, and then miss the connection because Eurostar is late, what happens then? If the next train has a more expensive reservation fee, do I pay the difference, or what? This must be such a common issue - but never had to do this before.TIA!

Greetings I need some advice.  I am currently in Nimes and would like to visit the Chauvet cave.  After a long search I found the only option to get there by public transport.  Ať first tgv to Valence and then ter bus to Vallon pont d'arc.  As I read in other posts here on the forum, railpass should be valid in ter bus, although I'm not sure if it's still true and if the bus driver will know it too.  App shows me that they also need a Seat reservation for this bus. 1. Do I really need to reserve a seat for this bus?2. Does anyone know of any other way to get to Chauvet Cave in a different way and earlier, or at least how to leave Vallon Pont d'arc later.  I found the last connection to the train station at 17.00. Thank you for your help

I have activated my pass today for Sweden and I saw on the Ticket now „Not valid in Germany“ my last travel is from Kopenhagen to Stuttgart - is this pass then really not valid in Germany

I am planning a full circular tour of Spain in September and am finding it very difficult to get any mention of local trains - i.e. those without the need for a reservation. Basically I am talking about travel between the main cities along the Mediterranean as a start. Some of these journeys require two or even sometimes three trains each with a reservation! Is there a way around this, or was I too optimistic (or naive 😯)?  Is the answer perhaps to travel between smaller towns?Edit: Perhaps I should ask how much reservations cost in Spain and how much in advance they need to be bought (from a station en route).

I'm trying to book Syracuse/ Bologna via Milan on 23rd October.  10.25 ICN. The screen offers the journey in segments, each requiring seat reservations.  I selected each in turn..selected Book...but it circled back to entry screen.  RailEurope shows (limited 1st class) availability which is why we wanted to book

We have booked two ferries within Greek islands, we have global passes. On blue star ferries there was no problem booking, and our ferry tickets say ‘global pass discount’ on them. However, on the app I cannot add the journeys to my pass, because it says the routes are for Greek Island Pass holders only.  Will I be able to get on the ferry? Do they tend to check interrail passes when checking in?

I seem to have created 2 trips. One I’ve added no journeys to but it has 2 blank used travel days. The other I’ve added all my journey plans to and it allows me to toggle between using a travel day and not on it but I think it’s not connected to my pass. I can’t see how to delete a trip created - app keeps offering the option of adding a journey to a new trip but I’m avoiding that particular trap now. Help? Thanks so much Nóirín

Trying to book Paris - Bern, I needed to book Paris-Gare de Lyon - Basel reservation. However, the eurail site didn’t worked at all according to error “being not able to press ‘continue to traveler details’ button”. i’ve tried to find alternative website from  to reserve Paris-Gare de Lyon - Basel, but there was no website that can reserve it.(Only domestic lines were able to book at “travel.b-europe website for national rides in France”) Is there any alternative website that can book international rail Paris to Basel?

Hi All,I am planning a circular route around central Europe staying around 2 days at 7 cities.Planned route is as follows:Prague (2 nights) -> Berlin (2 nights) -> Amsterdam (2 nights) -> Brussels (2 nights) ->Paris (2 nights) -> Zurich (2 nights) -> Munich (2 nights) -> Vienna (1 night) -> London (Home)There was a sale last week, so I bought 2 Eurostar tickets between Amsterdam -> Brussels -> Paris. For the remaining “5 travel days”, I am thinking of getting an Interrail “5 days within 1 month pass”.I’ve just checked a train ticket from Paris to Zurich (direct), on 14th August, second class departing from Gare De Lyon for 2 people, and the train fare is €262.Interrail “5 day pass” cost is around €100 per person for each travel day, so I should benefit from the Interrail pass when I travel from Paris to Zurich. Do you think it makes sense? If not, how would you plan the second part of the trip after Paris,  e.g. Paris (2 nights) -> Zurich (2 nights) ->

Hi I’m new to this interail pass thing,I have purchased a 4 day pass, travelling from Aberdeen to Alicante which uses 2 days of my pass, my question is can I use the remaining 2 days on my pass to return or do I lose them?TIA
