hello all  We are flying into FCO from Toronto in September and supposed to land at 1215hrs. We plan to travel onward to Florence the same day. We have Eurail Global Pass, 1st class.I see there is 1 train from FCO to Florence Santa Marai Novella leaving at 1353hrs. Not sure that we will be able to make that train. flight delay, customs, baggage. So we can take the Leonardo Express to Rome Termini. And then from Rome Termini to Florence. if I book FCO to Florence, there is only 15-minute change time. That makes me nervous, so I would like to book separately trains from FCO to Rome and then Rome to Florence. Never booked 2 separate trains on 1 day, so I am looking for assistance. i know that it should still be considered 1 travel day.

Hi,As I am preparing my first trip alone in train, I want to be sure that my itinerary is possible with the global pass, as I don't find the instructions very clear, especially on the return day. Here is what I planned:First day:20:24 PARIS EST (France) → 22:11 STRASBOURG (France)23:42 STRASBOURG (France) → 10:13 WIEN HBF (Austria)Second day:23:10 WIEN HBF (Austria) → 06:07 KRAKOW GLOWNY (Poland)Third day:22:39 KRAKOW GLOWNY (Poland) → 01:52 OSTRAVA HLAVNI NADRAZI (Czech Republic)Fourth day (Just after the third day):02:28 OSTRAVA HLAVNI NADRAZI (Czech Republic) → 05:46 PRAGUE HLAVNI NADRAZI (Czech Republic)Return:09:33 PRAGUE-SMICHOV (Czech Republic) → 15:18 MUENCHEN HBF (Germany)15:47 MUENCHEN HBF (Germany) → 17:59 STUTTGART HBF (Germany)18:52 STUTTGART HBF (Germany) → 22:16 PARIS EST (France)Did I count well and is the return counted as one day ? Should I take a 4 or 5 days global pass ?Thanks for your answers.

Hi everybody! I’m traveling with my girlfriend this August and we are planning to visit France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy. We already have a detailed day schedule for each train we need to take (20 day trip) and our option is the global pass for 10 day flexible. Reading about the Interrail global pass, we understand that for train requering seat reservation we have to pay a fee and we are totally aware and clear, but we are a little confused about the trains that don’t require reservation. After we buy the global pass, is it possible to reserve or book seats for trains with “seat reservation not required” to ensure the travel for date and hour that we need? I have searched for details about this but it´s not clear; it says that with the global pass we can get in to the train, but what happen if the train is sold out or full? Our concern is that if we miss a train will affect the rest of our schedule for that day, so that´s why we would like to previous book our trains

Hi.On the 28th of August me and my girlfriend are travelling from Lyon to Bologna. We wanted to take the train to domodossala, we then wanted to take the replacement bus EC057 to Milan and then the train to Bologna. When I looked online only on trenitalia I could book a ticket for 13 euros, but I could not select the interrail pass. Should I just pay for the ticket or is there another way to get a reservation for the bus?Greetings,Per

Hello! I would like to buy tickets for the direct train from Florence to Vienna at night, but the page tells me ticket not available for the date I must travel, which is September 15. What other direct travel options or with few combinations will there be that are at night? Does anyone else have this problem? I would be very grateful if anyone could give me some guidance.

Hi Eurail Angels: I’m doing research for future (no date set yet) travel on the Bernina Express. Travel direction not decided yet. I know it’s either Tirano to Chur or Chur to Tirano. Question 1: I read on Seat61 page that you can try to book cheaper, legitimate ticket on German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) site. I wanted to know if I buy such ticket, do I still need a seat reservatoin?I understand that if I want to sit in the seats in the Allegra unit (that’s hauling the Bernina Express) then I don’t need seat reservation. Question 2: If I want to purchase seats in the Allegra unit (as mentioned above), do I use https://www.sbb.ch/ to make the purchse? How can I tell it’s part of the Bernina Express? Do I just pay attention to PE950 or 952 (summer Tirano to Chur) & PE 951 or 955 (summer Chur to Tirano). And of course ignore the seat reservation part as I’ll be sitting in the first-come first serve Allegra part of the Bernina Express train.  Question 3: If I want to take regional train

Hey. Im flying to Italy on July, 9. Im planning a detailed Italy trip. Any travelbuddy here?

Hi, I’m travelling St Pancras to Bruxelles Friday 23.6.24 at 7.04. How much time should I leave before arriving?  Does check in take a long time with the interrail pass? I have a standard premier 1st class ticket. Many thanks, Barbara

I’m travelling from London to Sweden, leaving at 6am, arriving Copenhagen just before midnight. I need to continue to Sweden, train leaves after midnight so I have bought a separate ticket for that but it just struck me that it’s less than 24 hours after the day started. But presumably that’s just tough luck when you travel east - whereas if you travel to England (for example) you get an extra hour, until midnight GMT?

Hi -I want to reserve seats on AVE 9730 from Narbonne to Barcelona on Feb 21 (dep 10:39). The Interail reservation service shows a price of €12 2nd class - but also says it can’t process that reservation. The only “other” option offered seems to be in person at a station in *Spain*! I will not be in Spain between now and then, so that won't work. In there any other way? Does the SNCF phone service allow booking interrail seat reservations for AVE services? (The journey does start in France...) Or might I be able to do it to at a station in France? My fallback option is to just book a full-price ticket, currently available via Renfe online - c. €40. I'm assuming it would be a bad idea to delay to try for interrail seat reservations at the ticket office in Narbonne on my day of travel? Thanks for any help!Barry

Had to come back early to UK so used up my outbound/inbound days. Still have 5 travel days remaining before end of July and wondered whether the UK/France border begins at London St Pancras International when you pass through French passport control there. If so, can you travel using a normal travel day even though technically you are still in the UK until the tunnel & not require an outbound day?

Hi All,Please help me, its very urgent.I am a citizen of India(Indian Passport) and currently working in Germany for a German Company.Yesterday I booked a Eurail Global Pass “10 days within 2 months”.Is Eurail Global Pass valid for me, can I travel with this pass?Or have I made a mistake, is the Interrail Global Pass valid for me?I am confused , please help me.If I have made a mistake then can Eurail Global Pass be converted to Interrail Global Pass? Please reply.

hi ,Can I travel on German buses with a global pass? I'm having a hard time getting an answer, I've read all sorts of things online and in groups. I need to go from Lindau to a small German town on bus 21 and if I get on it I can show the global pass ticket is it good? or if not can I buy a monthly bus pass which is good for all German buses ( long distance bus )best regrads,Christine🎱

Hello all ;)I imagine this is possible on German (DB) and Austrian (OBB) trains? Why do you ask?  I've noticed that on some lines the 1st class is often fully booked, whereas reservations in the 2nd class are "for sale".Or do people travelling in 1st book more often than those in 2nd?In a nutshell. Thanks for your insights J.-François ;)Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

I have a seat reservation for Zurich HB to Munich HBF on the 25th of June from 11:33 to 15:04. There’s been a change/cancellations of some segments due to the storm damages. Part of my train is still covered but it’s where I get up to the part they had to cancel that I have concerns/questions. Are seat reservations required once I’m in Germany? I’m trying to determine if I’m okay or if I need to cancel the reservation I have now and rebook it. The only problem is Eurail hasn’t updated their trains so I don’t know which ones will actually be covered under the pass.

Hello. I want to go from Salzburg to Bled jezero on 8 juli. I have a transfer in Villach but it seems that I have to take a bus but I am not sure because it says train next to it and I thought you can only take the train with the global pass.Does anyone know what is meant here?

Hy everyone, i’m planning to travel from Padova to Bratislava on 2nd August. I’m going crazy trying to understand if the NJ235 from Padova to Wien is available, from different sites i sees different infromations:interrail.eu → from this site i have to change train in TARVISIO BOSCOVERDE, then it is direct to WIEN HBF shop.oebbtickets.at → i have to change train in Wr.Neustadt Hbf, but tickets are not available (WHY??) thetrainline.com → 3 different option, the last one is direct instead the other two have a change at Wiener Neustadt Hbf. On the right the translation is equal “timetable subject to change” the train is in less than 2 months, i don’t know how to dothank you very much

Hi!Has anyone managed to reserve bike spaces on the IC that follows the NJ from Switzerland to the Netherlands?

Hello, I am currently Interrailing and my 3 month global pass just disappeared from the app. When I try to add it again, I get an error message saying that the pass is already on my device. Maybe it is, but neither can I see my pass nor my trip.I have already submitted a zendesk support request this morning, but I got an automated email reply that the pass number in the support request was invalid. I then responded to this email with my correct pass number and since then I haven’t heard anything from the interrail support. Are there any other ways of getting support for this issue? I have not reinstalled the app yet as I don’t know if it is safe to do so while my pass is active. Regards, Marc

Hello community,I am travelling with my family (wife and two kids aged 11 and 8) to London in September. We are also planning a trip to Paris and Interlaken (Switzerland). The likely itinerary will be:Day 1: Leave from London to Paris; Spend the day/night in ParisDay 2: Spend the day in Paris and in late night leave for InterlakenDay 3: Arrive in Lausanne or Interlaken;Day 3-5: Go around places like Lausanne, Interlaken, Montreux, Zweisimmen, JungfrauDay 6: Leave from Switzerland to London. Can you please help with figuring out whether it will be better (and cheaper) for us to hire a car or take trains?Which train was would be ideal for this journey (including Eurostar from london)? A 4 or 7 day Eurail or a combination of 4 days Eurail Global pass and a swiss travel pass? And what should be the ideal combination?
