Hi there, I am currently planning on my trip between Lyon part dieu and Nimes Centre, when I intend to purchase the seat reservation for train timing 1827-1950 from Nimes > Lyon, I found out there is a fare difference in the seat reservation between Eurail & raileurope:Eurail - 12 Euro (I am aware that I will only pay 10 euro if I book from raileurope)raileurope - 24 euro I did select Eurail Global 2nd Class Pass in the front page. Refer to below 2 screenshots and need your adv.Looking forward to hear from you.Thank you.

First time I'm buying the Eurail pass. To use the trains that don't need to book a seat, do I need to make some kind of reservation? How does it work? Or is it just showing up on the day and time of the train and getting in? What if it's full? I need to make sure I will board.

Hello! Any advice for someone who's trying to get from Split to Florence to Athens? Is there a need for reservations? What is the best plan for this trip?Do i need to buy any other ticket other than the Interrail Pass?

Hello everyone,I’m trying to reserve 2 seats for direct train EC362 Prague-Munich on August 26th, but Eurail site says that “Prices are not available”. I also tried with OBB, DB and CD and had the same problem.Do you have any suggestions?Thank you in advance.

Hi, I’ve been trying to buy the seat reservations for an ICE from Amsterdam to Basel that leaves on 14.06 at 7.46am. However, whenever I try to purchase it via the Deustche Bahn website (to avoid extra fees) it tells me that “reservaton cannot be made”. It is unlikely that the train is already sold out (I know it’s the first day of the Euros, so the train will be most likely full in the end), as I have been trying to get the tickets for nearly two months now. First, it was not even possible to select the train, and today this thing popped up.Can somebody tell me what’s the reason for that? Is it safer if I just buy it through the interrail webiste? I’m afraid that if I do so, the reservation might not be valid once I get on the train (I’ve had some bad experience with buying tickets/reservations for trains via 3rd party sites previously). Thanks in advance

We are travelling from Basel to Cologne on August 8. The original plan was EC6 direct from Interlaken, but due to trackwork in Switzerland that train has been cancelled for some period of time.  We therefore booked and reserved First class seats to travel from Basel via Frankfurt (will get to Basel on whatever service we can). In the last few days DB have cancelled the Basel-Frankfurt train, and replaced it with a direct Basel-Colgone service. The good news it is an hour faster. But I am now trying to reserve seats for the replacement train, but bahn.de comes up with “No seat reservation possible”. It seems unlikely that the train is fully booked. The whole reason for travelling this route was the journey alongside the Rhine with seats on the right-hand river side of the train (which we had obtained on the connection from Frankfurt)Does anybody know whether this train, newly added to the schedule, is likely to open for seat reservations, or will it simply be pot luck?

hi, I have a ticket for 4 days, I used the departure and returned on the same day, now I want to go along that route again but the departure day did not automatically turn on, should I activate it manually?

Hi all! I am trying to book on the Nightjet from Paris to Salzburg at the beginning of August and have added the Interrail pass as a discount card for each of the passengers. However, it doesn’t seem to offer any discount at all - it’s exactly the same price as without the pass. Is this right? Should I be doing something differently? Thank you!

I have spent a lot of time on the Deutsche Bahn* website looking for such a schedule. I came up with the following one: Valence Ville 08:36 Lyon Part Dieu 09:48 dep. Lyon 11:18Paris Bercy 16:25dep. P. Nord .18:28Lille Flandres 20:51 But on checking it now on DB, I can no longer find the 11:18 from Lyon PD for May 22 or 23, when I want to travel. On an arbitrary date such as April 27, however, it is shown. Can someone please explain this?*There is a subtext here,  Neiher SNCF-Connect nor the computers in French stations offer such a journey without using TGVs. I will post this problem separately as a Conversation.

Hi, is there any direct train from Rome to Paris? If not, what is the best way to go about it? Plane fare is pretty cheap from VCO-ORY but I have 2 carryons so would add up to the price. Looking for May 4th 00:00 onwards.

On the 23/7-2024 I will travel from Denmark, through Germany to Pau in southern France. An part of this journey will go from SW Germany to Paris. This could be ICE 9575 from Stuttgart (14:52) via Strasbourg to Paris Est (18:16). But I could also cross the border with a regional train (no reservation) and catch ICE 9575 in Strasbourg (at 16:31). This is often cheaper to cross the border with at regional train. But not on this one…If I book reservations through Raileurope.com, the train from Stuttgart to Paris costs €18. But the same train from Strasbourg to Paris costs €20. It is only €2, but it makes me wonder: Why is a longer journey cheaper than a shorter journey on the exact same train? Palle Dam

What is this countdown on the top right corner my the pass? My 1st train leaves in 2 hours so not sure what this 16 hours is supposed to mean??

Hi, do I need to add something for the 29th? I was in assumption that this trip from Prague to Zurich would take up 2 travel days as it crosses 24:00. Without adding anything on 29th leaves me 6/7 travel days. Although I plan to take trains to Lucerne/ Titlis on 29th so either ways that will take up that day I guess?? Please let me know thanks.

How i can reservation? Is it better to do each separately? Because it says that the ticket is only valid to Verona

Hi, I will be travelling to Switzerland in about 10 days or so. I am planning to visit France also. And also I will be travelling within Switzerland city to city. I'll be staying in Switzerland about a week.  So what kind of pass should I purchase? And does Interrail pass is valid within Switzerland ( from Bern to Interlaken or from Basel to Geneva)? Thanks.

Hi, I will be traveling soon for one month. I was wondering wether I need a credit card or if I will be fine with just a debit card.Thank you for the help in advance!Sarah from Germany

Hello Everyone,We just reserved tickets on Trenitalia, we are a family of 4, two kids 3 and 6. We got reserved seats in different coaches and far away from each other. I don’t get how they can separate us especially when we have kids. What can I do in this instance?

Not can buy ticket for NIGHTTRAIN from Rome to Vienna, i have error`s and “Ticket unavailable”

How do people plan their trip in advance? I’d like to see times and total cost before committing to buying two passes, but that seems only possible *after* purchase. What am I missing?

Last year I bought a -50% 10-day pass valid until the end of May, but I had to cancel my trip. So I have not activated the pass. Can I transfer it to another person or is it gone?

hi, I want to go from Wroclaw to Venice, and then take the train to Silicia to take a ferry to the island, and then return home. Do you have any thoughts on the layout? I’m thinking of going to Verona, spending the night there, going to see Venice in the morning, and either in the evening or the next day I’ll go to Silicia. The problem is that I have 3 out of 4 days left on the pass which makes everything even more complicated.
