Solved

Hi. This is all very confusing. Can anyone tell me what the likely cost will be of booking a 2 bed sleeper from Narvik to Stockholm using an Interail pass. On the Interail site it states 50 Euros per person whilst on the Swedish railway site it’s more likely to be around £200. Just need to decide whether it’s more cost effective to do this leg in one hit or take an overnight stop in Boden and Kramfors. We are not travelling until early July so can’t book until at least early April.  Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi! Does anyone know if there’s a problem with the website right now?I’ve been trying to buy train reservations for the past week but I am not able to press the button "continue to traveler details”, or if I get through to the next page where I put in our birth city’s, I then can’t click past to “proceed with payment.” It just won’t let me click the button to proceed further.I’ve tried everything - Eurail website on: iPhone, laptop on safari, laptop on chrome, cleared cache, tried on my friends phones & laptops, tried different times of the day, tried to book 1 train instead of multiple.. I need to make a reservation for 13 trains for our Europe trip, for late June-July. I filled in my name, address etc. but I can't buy them… we leave in 8 weeks, some of our trains are nearly fully booked out, and I’m stressing out 😔I’ve reached out to the chat bot & to support and I’m waiting to hear back. Is the website down??? Or how can I buy these seat reservations. We have a 1st class pa

I’m trying to book the night train from Hamburg to Stockholm for the end of July but there doesn’t seem to be any available on sj.se  - Does anyone know whether I am too late or too early??On Snälltåget you can only get as far as Malmo and the train leaves very late  - at midnight, which would be hard with 3 kids!

Hi,I am trying to book a ticket from Luzern to Interlaken on 14th May morning, It says reservation is not required, so if I am not purchasing this seat reservation then,If seat reservations are unnecessary, can I just board a first-class compartment and choose any seat which is free(available)? If yes, how can I identify vacant seats as I travel from one point to another? If no, where can I find seating without having to stand for the duration of the journey, considering that I haven't purchased a seat reservation?

Hi all, l would like to catch the direct 8:06am train from Berlin to Amsterdam on Saturday 15th June 2024. It’s says l need to buy seat reservations but every time l try it on eurail it comes up with an error. I went into Rail Europe and it says it’s free, and when I checked on  Bahn.db it says no price information is available. I am very confused. Do l need to buy a seat reservation for this train and if so how? Being the busy time we don’t want to miss out on a seat. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Hello! I’m booking my trip with the Golden Pass Line in Switzerland. I want to go from Brienz to Luzern. But on the website of Golden Pass Line I can only see the route between Montreux and Interlaken. I see on somewhere online that the Zentralbahn between Interlaken and Luzern is one of the Golden Pass Line. However you cannot enter the train in Brienz. I also see an Interlaken-Luzern Express which you can enter in Brienz. Do someone know which one is the correct one?

Hi, I’ve been trying to reserve seats for myself and 4 friends on Deutsche Bahn, from Amsterdam Centraal to Duisburg HBF. Specifically the 20:28 - 23:03 on the 29th July 2024. The interrail website says unable to reserve seats, interrail support suggested booking on the Deutsche Bahn website directly. However when I try to checkout  I get the following error : “Reservation cannot be made”. I can see there are plenty seats still left on the train. I have tried to contact deutsche Bahn via email but have received no response and am unable to connect through phone. Any help appreciated, thanks!

I can't seem to get an overnight reservation thru eurail from rijeka to Frankfurt.  It is there, but when I click it, there is not a place to click for an overnight coach.  Do I have to book in another site?

We arrive by plane at Zurich airport @ 16:35 . I estimated the time to make a reservation to Chur, I chose 17:28 to Zurich HB then 18:38 to Chur. My question is if we arrive earlier can we just take the earlier trains ? Will my e-ticket still be valid ?

Hi I had trouble booking seats after purchasing 5 days flexi global pass.I was to book my train from London to Leeds, round trip. Does Eurail global pass not cover this trip? It keeps getting me to other train booking sites in which I have to pay the whole price for the tickets, not benefiting through global pass. Please help me get through this! It won’t work from Interlaken ost to Geneva as well. :(

Me and a few friends are going interrailing, we want to sit together on train journeys so thought it would be better to book just the seat reservation separately through the Train Operators website. In this case we are using OBB, however when I select 3 seat reservations it only asks for one name and says it has to match the name on the ticket. However we have booked tickets separately/ using an Interrail pass.Does anyone know if it will be a problem if we book the 3 seat reservations under one name when we all have separate tickets? Thanks!

Greetings,Me and my girlfriend want to travel from Lyon to Bologna on Sunday 28th of july with our Interrail global pass. We thought about taking the EC 39 but I could not see it on the time table. Will it still come on the timetable at a later time? Otherwise does anyone have any recommendations we should then do? We would love to have a more direct route with less transfers :) -Per

Hello all,I am planning a trip with my daughter through Europe this summer - part of this trip we are travelling the Bernina Express, panoramic car, afternoon train. This train arrives in Tirano 17:59 with our connecting train to Milan via Trenord departing 18:08 to Milan. Is the 9minutes enough time to transfer between the two? Is anyone familiar with this stop?We will be carrying straight on in Milan onto a sleeper train departing Milan 21:35 and if we miss the Trenord connection we miss the night train ex Milan and I am concerned this is too risky and may look to stay in Tirano the night instead.Help and advice appreciated, thanks in advance. :)

Dear train travellers,The website interrail.eu literally says in Dutch: "board most European trains by simply showing your Interrail pass". But in the Rail Planner app it says in English: "Before you board the train, you'll need to create a ticket in the app". I have an Interrail Global Pass Mobile. Suppose I only want to travel without a mandatory reservation, do I still have to create a "ticket" every time I want to board a train? That would mean that I'm constantly working on tickets if I want to make multiple trips, for example if I want to suddenly interrupt a trip and take a different route. That seems difficult to me if I only have a few minutes to transfer. I do not understand. Is it really not possible to use the pass by simply showing the pass without any ticket? Thanks in advance for your response. (This text has been translated from Dutch by Google Translate. The Dutch version is below. Answer may also be in Dutch) Op de website interrail.eu staat in het Nederlands letterli

Hello everybody,I paid for a global Interrail pass including all European countries which I activated and which will take effect next Monday (April 15) for my first trip Paris Gare de Lyon - Padova. I wanted to book the journey, which departs from Paris GDL at 7.21am and passes through Basel SBB, Milan and Padova (arriving at 7.14pm). However, I have several problems: * I can't book my ticket with a seat for the Paris Gare de Lyon, Basel SBB journey, as it displays this message: « One or more Passes don't cover this journey Select the travellers with valid Passes for this journey to book reservations. »* Finally, the prices displayed on the Rail planner application and Eurail are not at all the same (up to 3-4 times more expensive) ex: Basel SBB -> Milan (13€ on Rail planner vs 62€ on Eurail) Could you please help me Thank you very much 🙏🏼

Is it possible to add/delete journeys from the Pass after the journey has started? And what about after it has finished?Reason for asking is that I was originally intending to take the Eurostar from St. Pancras to Amsterdam, and I bought a passholder reservation for that journey. My plans have now changed and I would like to get off the Eurostar early in Brussels. As I understand it this might not technically be allowed but in practice should be OK because there aren’t ticket checks on arrival. I don’t want to change the passholder reservation because there is a charge for doing that. However, if I change the journey in my Pass to say Brussels instead of Amsterdam it won’t match the passholder reservation. And if I leave it as Amsterdam I can’t add the next train I am going to take from Brussels because it leaves before the Eurostar has arrived in Amsterdam (i.e. it overlaps). So what I was thinking was to leave the journey in the Pass as Amsterdam until I arrive in Brussels, then delete

Hello everyone! I am planning to take this route on 14 July from Bellinzona - Nice (Riquier).09:14 Bellinzona - Milano Centrale EC31311:10 Milano Centrale - Ventimiglia  IC63715:16 Ventimiglia - Nice ( Riquier) The sbb, öbb apps , rail europe all say "tickets not available" only for the EC313 at 09:14 , IC637 at 11:10 every Sunday. Why is that? I understand that Swiss trains don't need reservations but the cross border ones into Italy do, correct? Or am I missing something? Can I just get on any EC/IC/ RE trains going out of Switzerland without reservations? Thank you for your suggestions!

Hello, Just looking for some general advice on the Interail trip that we're planning this May/June. Particularly any advice that would help us do the journey with a 8&10 year old. We've booked the big legs but if anyone thinks it wouldn't work or we are planning too much we'd love the advice. Day 1 - London to Paris (booked)Day 2 - Paris - Chur (need to book) 2 nights in Chur. Anyone have any tips on accommodation? We are looking forward to the cable car up the mountain! Day 4 - Bernina Express (booked) then Turino to Milan. Any advice on accommodation in Milan for a quick overnight?Day 5 - 8 - from Milan we want to travel somewhere near Pisa for some sightseeing. We would like to stay at a campsite with swimming pool. Day 8 - should we take another travel day and go to Venice OR should we go up to Lake Garda and travel to Venice for a day trip? Day 8 - 11 - Lake GardaDay 11 - Veronna to Vienna night train (booked) Day 12 - overnight in Vienna Day 13 - Vienna to Brussels night trai

There are busses run by the Greek Rail company - for example from Patras railway station to connect with the train from Kiato into Athens. Does anyone know if the bus part is covered by a global interrail pass?

Hello, I recently heard about the Eurail 4 days pass for Greek Islands. I though I finally found an affordable way to visit the Greek islands are to me, ferry prices are outrageous. Unfortunately, I am not that young anymore and not extremely enthusiast to the idea of spending long overnight trip on an economy seat.   My question is the following: is there a way to upgrade from an economy seat to a bed when making a reservation? I am going to Greece at the end of April - beginning of May, which should normally be a relatively quiet time. However, this year, Orthodox Easter is May 5 and ferry are popular.  There is no chance I will get a bed if I wait to be on the ferry to upgrade.  Thank you.
