Hey! I’m trying to make seat reservations to a train from Ljubljana to Rijeka (8:30 am - 11:12 am) on 12th of May since the Rail Planner says that seat reservation are required. In the app the name/number of the train is EN 60237 but when I try to book with CD (Ceske Drahy) on their website the train number is INT 481 OPATIJA. The route and schedule of the trains seems to be the same so is it okay to book the seats with CD ? And extra question if anybody knows the answer… I wanted to travel from Budapest to Graz on 8th of May with direct connection (4:29 pm - 9:20 pm). I tried to make the seat reservation already in March, but both CD and Eurail said that the train is temporarily unavailable for reservations or the prices are unavailable. Today I checked the Hungarian website (MAV-START) and according to it the train is fully booked. Rail Planner says seat reservations are optional for that route, but since we don’t have seats booked does this mean we don’t have any chance to catch tha

Merci d'avance.

Hey everybody :) I’m trying to have a nice week of hiking in early May, and I was thinking of the French Pyrenees (I’m traveling from up North so Spain adds a lot of travel time), the French Alps, or maybe Austria.I’m having a hard time narrowing down my options! I would love to hike from hut to hut, and if possible walk through both forests and mountainous terrain. Staying a hut or hostel from which day hikes are possible would also be a perfectly agreeable option.Does anybody have any advice? Much appreciated :)

Hello! I’m planning my trip fram the Netherlands to France, Switzerland and Italy. I’m going through Paris, Colmar, Interlaken, Lucern, Como, Milan, Venezia, Florence and Roma. The high speed train I will take are Eurostar to Paris, TGV to Strasbourg and Italian high speeds trains travelling in Italy. I'am going to Jungfrau as well. Should I get a Eurail Global pass or just point to point tickets with maybe Swiss Half Fare?

Hello! We are looking to travel around Britain as well as one stop in Paris. We are there for 15 days. Our itinerary is roughly as follows. We have some dates that are fixed, but we also have a few spare days and so we want to stay a bit flexible. It seems like our options are Brit rail pass, this would cover all the Britain portions, and then pay out of pocket for London to Paris. If we use Brit rail, we would need 4 days Flexi pass at a minimum This is 898 CDN$ for 2 people. If we use the Eurail option, we would need 7 days Flexipass 1,138 CDN$ for 2 people + the 260.71$ fee for using it from London to Paris which makes it close to individual tickets. I looked up tickets in advance on a few different websites. These are the prices I found in CDN dollars.London to Paris Round 356.00 USD = 483.82 CDNLondon to Bath   2 Adults @ £38.50 = 137 CDNBath to York    £157.29 = 287 CDNYork to Edinburgh  2 Adults @ £42.20 = 149 CDNEdinburgh to London   £112.20 = 246 CDNTotal 1302Would a eurail pas

I am trying to book a train from Paris to Berlin (6th-May) via below trains  I have a first class Eurail pass, can some one guide me how to book a sleeper ? (Tickets and Seats)

Hi everyone! Im really confused about this supplement, and i don’t know where to buy it either! My friends and I are travelling from Amsterdam to Frankfurt in August, and we’ve already booked our seats on the DSB website (as it wasn’t still possible on interrail website). There was nothing about any supplement on this website, but if i look this train up on the Interrail app, or on the online planner, it says that a supplement is required. Does anyone know what this supplement is? And where we can buy it? We’re travelling on an ICE on the 28th of August. Thank you very much!!

Hi,does anybody have some hints how to get from Verona to Nizza/Nice, from Nizza/Nice to Genoa, from Genoa to Milan and from Milan back to Verona without reservations?

Hi, we are planning to get the 7 days in 1 month pass in august. Does anyone have some suggestions for routes as I am totally new to this? I would love to include slovenia and Croatia. We are planning to do 2/3 weeks. Is it easier to fly over to Europe or use the Eurostar?

I have following itinerary:Date From To 27/08/2024 London Armsterdam 29/08/2024 Armsterdam Paris 30/08/2024 Paris Geneva 31/08/2024 Geneva Interlaken 3/09/2024 Interlaken Venice 5/09/2024 Venice Rome  I am planning to spend 2 and half days in Interlaken (going to Zermatt and surrounding areas. Please help me deciding whether i buy 10 days Eurail Global pass or use flights and local trains.I see reservation cost is very high.

Hello,I took me a few days and tentatives to be able to use your forum. I got message errors when creating an account, including with a Facebook ID. I though this forum was not in use anymore so I did not ask my questions and did not have timely answers.I hope you can fix this for the next new users.

Hi,I am planning on taking ride on 3. 7. 2024 form Prague (6:38) to London via Köln an Bruxelles, but train between Köln and Bruxelles (EUR 9474) is for Interrail pass holders already sold out. In mobile app I found ICE 12, but on website I can not find it. Can I book seats on bahn.com and use it with Interrail pass? And if so, why it is not showing up in train times? If not, do I understand it correctly, that I would need to buy full fare and seat reservation for EUR 9474 or ICE 12? Also from my understanding it should be in possible most cases to book reservation through carriers sites? If so, is it better to book seats through interrail.eu or directly from carriers? Thanks

Hello! This summer, we are going to Germany, Sweden, and Norway, and we have a doubt about whether it’s better to buy a 1st class pass or a 2nd class pass. Can you help me, please?Route: Berlin - Hamburg- Copenhagen- Stockholm - Oslo -Bergen -Myrdal -Oslo. (*We would be grateful if you could also make suggestions about the trip)

Hi community, I planned and read a lot with/about Interrail in the last weeks, but there are two major things which aren’t clear for me or at least are some strange discrepancies. Why is it not possible to use my Interrail log in for the app? I planned a journey in the app which doesn’t show on the website. A planned journey on the website (for testing purposes) doesn’t show in the app.Part of my planned journey on August 7th is ICE 16 from Cologne to Bruxelles, departure 11:42. It showed in the app and I saved it, so the connection definitely exists. But if I try to book a seat in the train on the website, the connection doesn’t even show anymore. There are suddenly only journeys with the much more expensive Eurostar. I also discovered many small things which aren’t working properly and honestly I have a little doubt to spend so much money on a global pass if I can’t trust it fully.

I am wishing to book a double sleeper on the European sleeper from Amsterdam to Berlin for 18 September. The schedule has just come out. It is showing no double sleeper availability with the eurail pass. Will availability for eurail open later, or are all of the allocations to eurail passes used already?

Hello,I am little not sure about what train route I should take from Interlaken to Chur, (in May) with Interrail Global pass. I need to catch Bernina express from Chur as early as possible. I checked Rail planner and Google Maps, all route showing via Bern and Zurich, and no trains showing via Lucerne (not sure if via Lucerne will be less time consuming or not). Kindly suggest.TIA

Como usar o aplicativo Rail planer em português ?

I tried to add the route from Bolzano to Monterosso to my trip in the Eurail app, and got a message that a supplement is required for this train. Apparently, all trains going via the Brenner route require this supplement,.I tried booking via Eurail, but that wasn’t possible. The Eurail information says: “You need a mandatory supplement to travel to/from/within Italy. You can purchase the supplement in advance or on the train for a small fee (5 Euro). 2nd class: 10 Euro, 1st class 15 Euro. The information says to book it via the ÖBB ticket shop. I selected the “Interrail/Eurail Global Pass” under “Discounts”. For 3 people, the supplement was 182 Euros 70 Cents. Is that normal, or am I doing something wrong? That does seem kind of steep, especially when Eurail says in the info that the supplement would cost 10 or 15 Euro, respectively. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks very much!!Sylvia

As a family of two adults traveling with a four-year-old child, I've already made reservations for the two adults through the Bernina Express website, utilizing the 'Eurail pass' reduction. Notably, I didn't reserve a seat for my child since the Bernina website clearly states that children under six travel for free. Now should I make seat reservation for adults and child from Eurail website ? or if using Eurail pass is it mandatory that child needs reservation ?

Hi,Will my seat reservation be still valid if I deactivate the pass after purchasing it, and then activate the pass again? I will be getting a new ID soon and thus I will need to deactivate my pass to update it. However, I want to make seat reservations as soon as possible as they might be sold out after I have got a new ID, and that’s something I’d like to avoid. Can I purchase the seat reservations before I deactivate the pass, or should I wait until I get the new document and buy them only after my pass has been activated “for good”? Note: I got my ticket from DiscoverEU, so I had to activate it before the end of March. They told me it’s completely fine to deactivate it to update my ID afterwards, but I have no idea what happens to my seat reservations then.

Trying to work out if the Interrail Global Pass is valid on RENFE, specifically the Cercanías/commuter trains in the North/Northwest of Spain. Any help is appreciated.

Hello!I am planning a trip from Barcelona/Paris to Almaty by train and bus this summer 2024, in order to get to my exchange university in Kazakhstan. I have never used an interrail pass, but I thought it would be a great way to plan the European part of the trip, from Barcelona to Ankara (Turkey). Looking at the railway network I thought I could go through Zagreb-Belgrad-Sofia, either through northern Italy (departing from Barcelona) or southern  Germany (departing from Paris), but I am not sure if this could eventually work out. I was wondering whether someone had already done this trip (Paris-Ankara or Barcelona-Ankara) and is used to taking night trains with interrail, etc. I don't really understand the seat/bed reservation system, which type of trains are the passes valid for, and what prices to expect in early July. If anyone could share information on these I'd be super grateful.Thank you in advance :)Cheers!Chloé

We are travelling from Interlaken to Lyon (one day) in mid June and we have a 1st class Eurail pass.  It appears that seat reservations are optional.  1) If we don’t book a seat, can we still access the 1st class carriage? 2) is there any danger we won’t get a seat on the train if we don’t reserve a seat?
