Hi Friends,  Just wanted to check if there are any possible discounts on buying Eurorail and interrail tickets. Thanks

Hi! Please, I would like to know which pass I should buy: Interrail or Eurail once I'm Portuguese living in Brazil (outside EU) and I'm going to travel from London to France and inside France for more 4 times...

Hey Community, I was wondering when exactly a trip is counted as inbound? Is the point where I cross the border the deciding factor or does it matter who operates the train? I plan to take a cross border train from France to Germany, which SNCF operates until the first stop in Germany, then DB takes over. Can I ride until this first stop across the border without using an inbound day or do I have to get off at the last stop on the French side. Thanks in advance.

Hello,I  want to change date and time of an existing reservation. I dont see how I can do that in rail europe desktop version.  Please help.

Hi, is the night train from Munich to Paris included? If so, what are the seat/ cabin reservation costs for 2 adults, a teenager and a child please? Thanks!

I wanted to make an Interrail trip to Portugal this year, then when I started planning I found out there are almost no train connections between Spain and Portugal…On the Interrail page I saw an article that said there are two trains per day from Vigo (Spain) to Portugal, but it’s from 2017 and in the Railplanner App it tells me there are no connections via Vigo.My original plan was to travel through northern Spain and enter Portugal from there and travel back through southern Spain. Now I just want a route where I can be sure I get into Portugal and out again without too much stress because I only have about 14 days of vacation. I am thankful for any tips or tricks or experiences to help me out, thanks in advance.

Italy in June booking accomodation question - Travelling around Italy (from Bath, UK) - Trains and accomodation booked as far as Bologna (26th May) + a stay in Naples & Salerno also booked. Our route is roughly UK - via Paris to Geneva, Bologna, Umbria / Tuscany, Naples area, then Sicily. We plan 3 ish days in Umbria or Tuscany (end May) then 7 or 8 days in Sicily (from 5th June). We would like to have some travel flexibility - I'm assuming we can book hotels / airbnb's (budget circa max 130 Euro for a double) on the fly (a day or 2 ahead) - is this correct / any thoughts? Thanks

Hi! I’ll be visiting Italy and France in September 2024 with my friend so I’m wondering is anyone traveling around that time? 🤗 We’d be happy to share this experience with other travellers

I’m hoping to travel this spring with my 3 kids, one of whom is under 4.  The rules say that one parent can take two kids but under 4s don’t need a pass.   So the other two kids can use the child pass associated with the parent but can I still take the 2 year old without issues?

Hi, I have an Irish passport but have lived in China for over ten years. I’ll be arriving into the UK and staying for just under 2 months this summer. I’ll be travelling within the UK/Ireland and throughout Europe over those 2 months, so the 15 travel day Eurail pass looks perfect for my needs. But I’m wondering if the Chinese residence visa within my Irish passport will be sufficient proof of residence in China? I have about 5 consecutive years of residence visas within my current passport. The only other official Chinese IDs I have are my university teacher card and foreign expert certificate, neither of which have a Chinese address on them. I do also have the rental certificate for my apartment, but it’s entirely in Chinese.  Cheers for any advice,Ben

Hello community,We'll be travelling from central Finland to southern France late September and coming back late October. Two adults and two teenagers. Here is a more detailed plan at the moment:27th September train to Turku (buying regular tickets well in advance)27th-28th a Viking Line night ferry from Turku to Stockholm (buying regular tickets as the Interrail discount seems to apply only to day-time ferries, at least on our travel date if I'm correct)28th September train from Stockholm to Copenhagen (using the first pass day and thus starting the validity of the pass)night in Copenhagen29th September train from Copenhagen to Berlin (2nd pass day)night in Berlin30th September nighjet from Berlin to Paris (3rd pass day, when will the couchette/sleeper tickets become available?)night in Paris2nd October train from Paris to Antibes (4th pass day, preferably a direct TGV, where to get seat reservations and when will they become available?)24th October train from Antibes to Genoa and a ni

I’m traveling with my niece throughout Europe in late May-middle of June. I’m trying to determine which is more cost effective for us, either buying a Eurail pass and making seat reservations or buying tickets directly.I’m looking at purchasing the Global Eurail Pass with 5 days of travel, first-class, one adult pass and one youth pass. In determining what is most cost effective, I’ve been doing what has been suggested, which is comparing Eurail passes with reservation fees against prices for directly purchased tickets, and doing like for like comparisons (same dates, routes).I keep hearing how inexpensive train travel is in Europe, and how it is often better economically to buy tickets directly, however, when I price it out, Eurail seems to be far cheaper (almost $1000 cheaper) for our plans. Is this because I want to travel in first-class? Is it because one of us is a youth Eurail pass? Is it due to where we are traveling (France to Switzerland to Italy). Is it due to all of these?

I am trying to add to my itinerary Paris to Gatwick in June but can’t get a time in the app.  Is this route not offered or am I doing something wrong.  Thanks.

Hi all,I’m trying to plan my trip with my family this summer end of june - mid July.We are thinking on Stockholm-Narvik night line but it seems to be be very popular. Considering that, I’d like to know the opening booking date to be sure to get seats?Customer service doesn’t answer. Does anyone knows if there is a specific number of days for booking opening?Extra question: Is this training running each day? Thanks a lot for help.

I am organizing an Interrail trip for this summer, and I was planning to travel on July 27 on the Nightjet 40233 from Vienna to Rome. I have seen that trenitallia has already published the summer timetable so I often check to see if the train is already on sale. However, when looking this afternoon I saw that none of the trains that go to Italy (Milan, Venice) are available to buy, and their timetable already came out months ago. I have searched obb scotty and it appears that there is construction work between Villach and tarvisio between July 12 and July 28, so many day trains will not be available and night trains will be rerouted. Therefore I don't know if I should wait for the summer trains to Rome to leave since I'm not sure if the one on the 27th will be available so I don't know if I should start looking at flights. If anyone knows if these trains are going to go on sale one day, please help me. Thank youP.S: All trains that go to Venice before July 12 and after July 28 can be p

Hello,At the moment i'm planning my interrail journey for the summer and i want to take the European Sleeper from Amsterdam to Prague, I saw that it soon come into use. But I can't find anywhere how much it costs with a interrail pass, for example a couchette. The only price i can find is on the European Sleeper site itself and the it's €89. But i was hoping that it would be cheaper with an interrail pas ;)) Can someone maybe help me with this? Kind regards,Teun

Hi there, My partner and I are travelling around Europe. We are both currently living in the UK but are from NZ. I have a UK passport but she does not - do we need to buy separate passes to travel on the rail lines? I.e. do I need to get an Interrail pass and she gets a Eurail pass? Thanks

Hello, My husband and I are about to embark on a three month trip using eurail global passes.  I have loaded legs on “my trip” in the app and paid for any needed seat reservations.  Questions: Can I somehow transfer the “journeys” to my husbands travel app on his phone or will he need to manually add each trip?  FYI - He has his ticket on his phone and I on mine? If seat reservations are not required what do we show when boarding the train, is there a QR code or something once the pass is activated? I have read we should activate the ticket in advance of our travel date but ensure we cancel it by 23:59.  Do folks often have problems?  I just want to make sure there is no issue with cancelling the initial activation as I don’t want to lose precious days..  Thanks for your insight.

Hi. We are planning to take this train using our Eurail Pass. We would appreciate any advice that you can share. There are two of us travelling. I have read about Prestige class. Should we consider that? Once we arrive in Montreaux, we need to get to Geneve. Should we take the train or boat?

Hi all, so I've just bought our global Eurail pass and then booked our seats on the Eurostar for early September, London to Amsterdam via b-europe site, but can't work out how to get the booking details on my rail planner, as it doesn't automatically link up, so won't use a travel day. Does this matter? Thanks for any help understanding this 🙏

Hi   Planning a 3 week trip from Zurich to Milan to Florence to Nice and back to Zurich. While in Milan, will take trip to Conque Terra, Mont Blan, Lake Garda. Are all these routes covered via EURail pass? Are there daily trains. Ethernet these routes?  Want to confirm before buying the pass. Thanks for your help

Hi, we’re new to Interailing but are planning a trip across the Netherlands. Germany, Switzerland and France then back to the UK (via Eurostar) in August.ive tried to use the route planner on the website but it doesn’t seem to have smaller rail stations in the database.  Can  please check if the pass can be used within all of countries listed above please, on trains between cities of various sizes, not just major cities?  Thanks

I am taking my mom and sister on their first (and likely only) trip outside of the US, so we will be taking the train to a handful of countries. My question is whether our passports will get stamped upon arrival?  If that’s not standard, is there a way to request it? I think they’d really like having stamps in their brand-new passports!
