Solved

Hey everyone! I am studying two options to go to Sofia:1- with Interrail - they propose to go firstly to Craiova in Romania, and wait 2h (from 5 to 7am): is the train station for a single woman? Then take a train to Sofia. 2- taking a direct bus - it lasts one day but it costs 77€ with flix bus. But it doesn’t seem to be covered by Interrail what is the best solution? is the train by night from Budapest to Craiova comfortable and safe? As the train station?  thanks !!

It looks like we will be taking an NS train from Amsterdam to Brussels in April due to Eurostar not being available. If I book my tickets for the specific train we want via NS International, even though there is not assigned seating, does this still at least guarantee my place on the train? I am worried about trains being full and us not being able to get on one despite booking tickets in advance. It is the tulip festival weekend, and I am guessing trains will be a bit more crowded during this time so I just want to make sure I am planning accordingly.

I've never used Eurostar before, so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but I'm trying to book a ticket from Amsterdam to Brussels over a weekend in April and the dates are greyed out and it says "Not available" under all trains. I can't find anything about work being done or anything that might be the cause to this... any ideas? Are all the tickets sold out?If I can't get a direct train from Amsterdam to Brussels via Eurostar, are there other alternatives that won't take a ton of time?

Hi,May I know is cheaper to reserve a seat online or at the physical station ?

Hi,As I can’t view seat avaliablity before buying a 2 month pass, how likely is it that I will miss out on seats in July If I purchase a pass now? I am travelling through Spain, France, Switzerland and Norway. Many thanks for any help

Can I cancell the reserve pass which printed on  paper of some route  and get refund please?

Hi , We plan to take Euro pass to travel to Europe. Is Swiss Alps Jungfraujoch Day Tour from Interlaken coverd in the Euro pass. If not, from which website we can buy cheap tickets for this journey?

Hi. I'd like to travel from London to Athens by train. I will have two weeks at the end of March/beginning of April this year. I could fly back to the UK if necessary, but would prefer to do the whole journey overland. Any advice gratefully received...many thanks

I deactivated my pass yesterday as I want to change the starting date of the pass. After the deactivation, I reactivated it again and renewed the starting day as 7/2/2024. However, when I want to make a seat reservation for the train on 7/2/2024, the sentence “Your Pass isn’t valid on this date” appears. May I know how to deal with this problem? Thank you so much!

I have mobile global pass with not activated yet , also have reserved the seat while the route from Myrdal to Oslo issued the paper pass and on the way of delivery, later on I want to change the date and ask for mobile pass , is it possible due to next week I willstart my travel and could not got the new delivery in time.

Hello. I get to Switzerland from Brazil next Wednesday 10 A.M. I intend to take a train to Interlaken, but I don’t know how much time it will take for me to pass immigration and retrieve luggage. Should I reserve seats beforehand? Should I wait?

Hi there,This is the 1st time I am posting query in this community and so please bear with me.  I will be travelling with my family to a few destinations in late Apr/early May, with global pass.  We are planning to travel between Paris > London > Brussel and I understand I have to make seat reservation in advance for taking the Eurostar.  My question is do I have to activate my pass (I have added passenger details into the app but have not activate) in order for me to make the reservation online?  As I have never try online seat reservation, plus I understand that there will be a fee incurred if there is a need to rescheulde my train timing after making seat reservation, hence I need to understand in depth instead of doing something silly.Appreicate your guideline in this matter.Thank you.

Hi:I recently purchased a second class, senior global Eurail pass. My trip begins at the beginning of March. It seems like there are a LOT of supplements that I was unaware of when I bought that pass. I am starting my journey in London, so I figured there would be a supplement for the Eurostar from the UK to Brussels, but I guess there is also one to go from Bruges (where I’ll be staying for 2 nights) to Paris, as well? And from Paris to Lisbon? And from Lisbon to Madrid? It seems like every train I want to ride requires a supplementary fee. Is there any way around this? Those fees will add up fast!!

Obrigada

Hello! This is my first time using Eurorail and travelling on Europe’s trains (I usually take planes) and just wanted to make sure that I have got everything right for my trip. Tomorrow I am taking the train from Amsterdam to Berlin. We have activated our card and bought our seats even though it said it was only recommended.Do I just show the QR code that it shows in my pass for the day?How long should we get there before the train leaves? Is there any customs? I have the photos of our eurorail stuff here, is this all correct? I found the site and seat reservations a bit confusing.

Hi Everyone, We plan to travel to some countries in During Easter holidays . Do we need to take the Eurorail pass in well in Advance or can it be bought closer to our travel dates? has anyone faced availability issue with Eurorail pass?

i'm living in germany and want to travel to amsterdam and brussels with the benelux one country pass. am i allowed to use the international ice trains cologne-amsterdam to get there and brussels-frankfurt for my route home? i read somewhere that ice trains are only allowed on domestic routes with the benelux pass but idk what that means.

Hi, after a fab reply to my initial question last week about booking train from London to Salzburg I have gone onto www.raileurope.com to see if tickets are available ( I think it might be next Sunday they are out?).I went onto rail passes ( rather than train tickets) to book 9.01 from St Pancras’s to Brussels. Nothing seems to come up to enter interail pass ) just railcards). It just tells you full price of ticket. Is this because the tickets with an interail pass are still not available yet? Also can I book my return at same time for Sat 10th August from Brussels to London.   ( is it cheaper?) or can I only book two singles?I want to be fully prepared for when the seats do become available. Many thanks 🙏

A first timer here on using Interrail passes. I will be using a first class pass. I am going to travel from Hamburg to Venice with my family and we will use the Brenner route, traveling from Munich. I read that there was a supplement fee that you had to pay if you entered Italy from Austria. I bought my tickets through the ÖBB website, but I mistakenly booked them using the “Seat reservation only” option. I can’t get my tickets refunded, and I am worried that the ticket could be refused.I was wondering if it was possible to pay the supplement fee by local means instead. Can you speak to a staff member in Munich or on the train if you want to pay it there? If so how do we do this?

Hy, im trying to book the nightjet 402 from Zürich to Düsseldorf with my interrail 1st Class Ticket and it states i need a reservation. Now im not sure if i get a sleeperbed if i book the seat reservation over Interrail (1. Class) or if this will just be the seat?  Thanks already a lot for all your help😁. Greetings Simon

Pls help, I am worried about my route and connecting. Seems route is joining local trains and is not an international route. Are the stops & connecting time’s realistic? They seem so short to me.Is the route and arrival at the stations safe esp during the times with small kids? Is there a way to get another route? What options do I have for someone travelling tomorrow? Is it better to book flights? Is this route worth it?    OutwardParis Est - Roma TerminiDeparture:        Sun 04 Feb 2024 at 06:52Arrival:        Sun 04 Feb 2024 at 20:10Travel time:        13:48Changes:        3Class:        First Class    Routedetails   D        06:52        Paris Est    A        09:26        Karlsruhe Hbf         Transfer (33 min.)    D        09:59        Karlsruhe Hbf    A        12:56        Bern         Transfer (38 min.)    D        13:34        Bern    A        16:40        Milano Centrale         Transfer (18 min.)    D        16:58        Milano Centrale    A        20:10        Roma Termin

Hello All! Great Community! I have a very quick question regarding the possibility of my weekend trip:A 4 day global pass is needed for the following:-Friday: Frankfurt - Zürich-Saturday: Zürich - Zermatt-Sunday: Zermatt - Frankfurt (with stop in Zürich)(with one day to spare). And as I have seen I can use any trains for these trips right? Even the ICE for Frankfurt to Zürich as an example. (As long as they show up when I search using the interrail search engine). If I just take the trip Zürich - Zermatt and back a one-country pass would be enough right? (Making sure I understood correctly). Thank you very much in advance!

I'm flying in to Sofia and using up a 15 DayDay 1 Sofia to Bucharest no problems , then as I progress North it's asking for a Fee , if I choose no reservations my choices dwindle to nothing , I should surely be able to progress in  Eastern Europe just by hopping on and showing my Valid pass in the App, Bucharest to Clug comes in at 12 Euro , the app seems to be throttling me very slowly if I choose no reservations.Any body had previous experiences through Romania Hungary Slovakia with the Valid Pass on the App.Thanks in advance from Chris

We are UK citizens considering using Interrail passes to travel to Italy. We would start our journey in Chester. Can we use Interrail passes to get us from there to London?
