Solved

Will be traveling to Vienna next Saturday and plan on some trips to Melk, Salzburg, Brno, Bratislava and Budapest by rail. Any major issues to be concerned with of the last two weeks of December? Any help is appreciated.

Today I bought the mobile pass and want to make a reservation for Deutsche bahn. I know how to make the reservation. But do I need to activate the pass first before i can make a seat reservation? Or can I activate the pass after I made a reservation? Because I'm not travelling this weekend and I'm afraid that the pass will cost days if I will activate it a few days before my first travelday.

Can I use eurail Austria Pass for the OBB night jet from Vienna to Buchs SG?If yes, is “Interrail / Eurai - Globalpass” the discount option to select?thank you!

I'm trying to book a seat in April 2024. This is less than 180days so why am I getting the message in red text?

I have a consecutive twin german pass for 4 days(before activation).I need to exchange my pass to the pass for 3 days because of  the strike in germany.I can’t postpone my journey because my return flight is 4 days later. How can I get my ticket exchanged or refunded with full fare(not 85%)?And because of the situation, I want Eurail deal with this right now.

Trying to book a 1st Class Reservation for 2 on the 24th from Nuremberg to Salzburg. Also from Salzburg to Stuttgart on the 26. Just end up getting error messages at check-out. Does this indicate full trains as I’ve tried a number of different departure times.Didn’t have any issues with any other legs of my trip. In and out of Austria is the only thing tripping me up. Help!

Hello,Can we get financial compensation when our journey is cancelled due to strike action?I was supposed to do Copenagh - Berlin on 8 December but this is impossible due to strikes. Thank you for your help, Clément

Hi, we bought a Global Pass for three travelers. Some train trips have now been booked with seat reservations. However, since we are travelling from Bern or Basel to Prague at night, I can see some glitches or differences on the website timings and app planner. This has been added to our trip list since we opted for the no-reservation option. However, upon using the website today, this is now showing with a seat requirement. Will there be any chance to book a seat at the main station?

I have just tried to see if I can figure out how to book a trip and I’m after a little guidance as to whether this is the easiest way, and what i am doing wrong. First I went to Google Maps and plotted from my hotel address to my next hotel address, selecting the train option. Google tells me how far to walk to the nearest train station, which station that is, the path by train and the distance I need to walk at the other end. Then I went to bahn.de and punched in the two train locations that Google gave me, entered other criteria and did a search. In my case, it didn’t come up with any results, likely because the timetables aren’t released yet (December 10 I believe). After a little experimenting I got some results, however I don’t think Rome to Florence is 21 hours given I selected Show fastest connection. Clearly I am doing something wrong.  Any suggestions please

I am currently on a trip, on the train, and all details have dropped off the app.It was working an hour ago, and now just says "add trip'" and "add pass". If I try to re add my lass it says already on this device. How to solve??

Hello !  We want to travel from zurich to istanbul, so we're taking a night train from zurich to budapest, but when we want to book our seats we can only reserve seats, not couchettes. Can you help me?

Hi all. Family of 4 travelling from Venice to Geneva (from Geneva we have private transfer to ski resort in Les Gets). They need to know a pick up time but I have no idea what time we would arrive in Geneva. I don’t even know if we would have to change trains part way. Ideally we want to leave early morning, take a fast train to Geneva and arrive between 4-5pm. Would I have to book?Really appreciate ANY advice!

Hello. I want to travel next week and unfortunately cant wait for the paper pass. Can i make reservations for the german, denmark and sweden train wit a mobile only pass?

I am looking at travelling by train from my home in UK to Portsmouth (UK) to catch a ferry to Spain. The ferry would leave UK  on the evening of the day I set off from home and arrive in Spain the following day.I would then travel in Spain and Portugal on the train using my Interrail pass. My return journey would be the same in reverse. Could I use my Interrail pass for these rail journeys in the UK even though I will be leaving / returning to UK on a ferry, not by train (such as Eurostar) ?Many thanks Bob

bonjour, nous sommes en train de préparer notre voyage en février vers Kiruna.mais a chaque réservation de couchette un message d’erreur se produit et bloque notre reservation. nous avons essayé de réserver chacun de notre coté, mais rien n’y fait ! hello, we are planning our trip to Kiruna in February.but with each berth reservation an error message occurs and blocks our reservation. we tried to book each on our own, but nothing worked!

I live in the US and am trying to book train reservations from Huela or Seville Spain to Barcelona, then to Nice, then to Portofino then to Rome.  Isnt there a company that can do this for you with a fee for services rendered.  Eurorail is not very straight forward for what I am trying to accomplish.  Thanks.

Hello Inter/Eurail community,I am posting this from a train that is currently traveling from Vienna to Dortmund. I just found out (purely by chance, as the rail planner app doesn’t show this), that the train I was supposed to take from Stuttgart Hbf to Bruxelles Midi runs only until Köln due to a strike. On the Deutsche Bahn website it says that there will be 4 replacement buses from Köln Hbf to Bruxelles Midi without any stops. Apparently these buses are a service by Univers Reisen but I can not find any information about them, no timetables, ticket costs, anything.I have two questions. Firstly, is this because these replacement buses are only meant for people being affected by this now interrupted connection? Secondly, is my global pass still valid on these replacement buses, and if so how do I add them to my pass since I don’t even know the times (yet). There is an alternative route that requires me to take 4 additional connections, something I would like to avoid if I can. Thanks!

Hi, I understand that I can travel outbound and inbound in my home country. In my case I would have to take a big detour to be able to reach the border of my country by train. Would that be problematic? And would I have to cross the border on the outbound day? Or could I also travel to the border and buy an ordinairy ticket to cross the border the next day?

I am Dutch but have been living in Spain since 2018. If I want to use the Global Pass in the Netherlands, how do I prove residency in Spain?

Hello,I am a parent who bought a flexi pass (10 days within 2 months) for myself (adult pass) + a kid pass + young adult  pass (16).Now, I am wondering, since a young adult is with me and since i’ve got a phone travel passes for each person: is it possible that young adult uses that code separatly on her phone, and do some days of travel on her own. For example if she wants to travel home sooner.   Thank you.Biba SJ
