Solved

Hi,First days of trip and I am spending hours struggling with booking the next leg of our journey. I am learning a lot about Interrail in the process but this is too time consuming. I now realise I should have done all this planning before our first day of travel. I didn't expect things to be this complicated! We need to go from Montpellier to Málaga. I thought we could do this in 1 day of travel but it seems very difficult to reserve the trains in Spain online!Any tips? Thanks in advance.

We haven't activitated our mobile passes yet and both our details (pass reference etc) are on theRail Planner app, on my phone. We were thinking it may be best to have each person’s pass on their own phone when we activate. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how to do it? (Appreciate this can’t be done once the pass is activated, and also that it may be simple to do but don’t want to mess things up.) Advice much appreciated!

Hi, my name is Maria and I’m from Portugal.I’m planning to do a interrail in Scandinavian for 10 days in December. Does anyone used the Scandinavian interrail pass? If yes, could you tell me how did you plan your trip? What places should I visit? Thank you very much!!!

Please define “flexipass” and “global pass”.Explain the difference.

What if I have my pass on a smart phone and it stops working on the morning of travel:  crashes, no battery, ….  whatever pros and cons with paper and mobile passes?

First time Interrailer here - so please excuse what may seem like a really dumb question. We are staying in Zuerich for a few days and want to be able to use a spare Interrail day on SBB’s suburban routes in the area. So:a) Can the pass be used on Zuerich’s SBB trams?b) If not, can I use it on SBB trains in the suburbs? If yes, in either case, do I have to find the actual train/tram journey in the timetable and add it manually, every time we use the train? (This seems like a bit of a pain given that trains run every 5 - 10 minutes in places.) Alternatively is it possible to use the SBB app with its really easy swipe on swipe off feature when you get on and off trains. Maybe I’m missing something…?

Question for you all. I am traveling from Copenhagen to Stockholm. Unfortunately the SJ is sold out so I have to change in Malmö. The change only gives me 18 minutes to get from one train to another. Is that enough time in the Malmö train station taking into account any border crossing logistics such as customs, ID checking, etc…

Bonjour,  Quelqu un voyage t il de Berlin à Varsovie prochainement, d ici le mois prochain ? Je n arrive pas à réserver de sièges sur aucun site.Merci

My paper Eurail pass has been stolen but I still have seat reservations I made while I had the pass. Are they any good without the pass?

Hey, I have a question, I want to book a train from Berlin to Dresden but this message appears : “Rates not availableOur search for fares produced no results. Places reserved for Pass holders are probably sold out. You will find other options at the bottom of our schedule.”I would like to know if it’s possible to get on this train with my interail pass and no reservation, or will I be turned away if I get on this train knowing it may be full? Thank you for your help !

Hello and thanks to this community for helping customers !I made some seat reservation for train tickets from Stuttgart for Paris. This reservation is for 15/10/2023I received the tickets from interrail mail.Later I received a mail from SNCF : the departure from Stuttgart was cancelled, due to modernization works on rails. The train now departs from Karlsruhe.I’m sort of okay with this updated option anyway. However, I need to check the updated information for my ticket. The SNCF mail invited me to perform a cancellation or modification of this travel trough their website. However, I am not interested in cancelling the ticket, I simply need to get the updated ticket.Furthermore, the reference for this travel is not recognized on any of their website (neither sncf-connect or dossier.sncf-voyageurs)I am a bit at a loss here :/Please rememeber, I just need to get and check the updated information (date, hour and precise departure station) for this new ticket. Were will I get this informati

Hi there,I am trying to book my seats from Crete to Piraeus on September 10 but Hellenic Highway's and Blue Star's websites do not have the option to select the Greek Pass on the discount section when choosing that route (Heraklion-Piraeus). Even though, the Greek Pass guidance and Hellenic Highway's and Blue Star's websites say that Crete is included within the Greek Pass.Has someone else experienced this and learned how to resolve the issue and get the tickets within your Greek Pass allowance? Many thanks,Simon

Looking to swap flying to train travel for October half term break. Each year we fly to Algarve either over Easter or October half term. Looking for ideas for routes to Europe for autumn sun from Bristol to do in 10 days.

Hi Everyone, so after booking almost every seat for my Interrail Trip, i came to the last Part (the outband trip) and i cannot book a seat for the TGV from Lyon to Frankfurt, on the Interrail App/website it says it’s unavailable and then on the other two suggested website by the Appp (Thalys SNCF etcc..) Frankfurt won’t show up on the options list (in both of the websites) .. Any Idea what I can do about it ...

I start my travels on September 6. I have already selected Day 1 and Day 2 of my travels and paid for my reservations,  but now want to add a new day 2 and change my previous day 2 to Day 3. How do I do this without losing all the plans and reservations? Thank you for your advice.

Hi, I won a France-Germany interrail pass. When I first login to the app I’ve been asked to choose a month for my trip but it also said that i could change it after all. I picked middle of august until middle of september but it appeared that i cannot find time to travel at this time. That’s why I want to change the date of my trip but now that it’s on I’m not allowed to. I’m afread I will loose my pass without being able to use  it. Does someone know if I can do something for it ?

Was ist hier los?

We’re affected by the cancellation until November of the Paris-Milan service due to a landslide.  Do we contact SNCF directly for a refund or go through InterRail (or will it happen automatically)? We’ve re-routed via Nice but (while fortunate to have a first class pass) only second class InterRail reservations were available Paris-Nice. As it’s a special trip, it would be nice to go first and first class seats are still available on the SNCF website.  Is there a way of doing this? (My understanding is that under EU law, SNCF have an obligation to re-route as close as possible to the original booking.)

I have paid for three  mobile global passes for seniors, one who is 80 years old. I am not travelling with the group, I sent details to the lead passenger and told him to download the app. The problem is that his Iphone 6 is running 12.5.7 and will no longer update so the app will not work and he cannot afford to buy a new phone. The first trip will be from Brussells to Jena in Germany on September 8th sometime in the day, I leave the UK tomorrow morning (Monday) but I cannot leave the group without a solution. Is there anyway of getting the a printed pass in time for thier trip and how do I do that? Please help

Hi,   I see that on the Eurail site they conceptually will let you submit a custom itinerary plan...and they will get back to you with a whole trip of hotels and cities planned. Are they good at this?  Is this a good service to use? Thanks in advance -paul

Hello. I live in Germany and would like to take the Nightjet from Innsbruck to Amsterdam. He obviously crosses Germany. But I only drive through and don't get out while I'm there. Is the pass still valid there?Greetings, Pascal.

I’ve read through a lot of the seat reservation posts and can’t find an answer, so here goesIs there a facility within the seat booking process to be able to specify a choice of seats during the booking process? Window seat, forward facing - those sort of optionsIt would be great if actual seats could be booked, but I expect that is a step too far I’ve just received my pass and tried booking seats on Eurostar and TGV Lyria. The seats are available as it takes me right through to payment. But there is no screen to provide an option to choose a type of seat

My wife and I each have a 15 days in 2 months 2nd class global pass at discount costing  €27.03 per person per day. We are going to use 10 travel days for intercountry travels. For the remaining 5 travel days, what is the best use of each travel so that we get maximum return for the money we paid for each travel day? This might be a silly question. Can a travel day be used for things other than train travel or travel in general? We are considering days trips from London to Stonehenge, Amsterdam to Zaanse Schans and Florence to Pisa. My reseach suggests that use a travel for each of these in not good value. Is that right?
