Hello! I was doing Interrail last year and mostly took trains that did not need a seat reservation. And the trains were soooo full 😅Now I am wondering, if somebody made experiences with that in trains that need a seat reservation? Like those in France?

Is there a SNCF WhatsApp # to buy a ticket TGV PARIS BCN October 9 by phone  📱 please ?

Hello everyone again! I have now specific questions about some train routes and seat reservations on them./I’m about to buy a 10 day Eurail global pass, to use it from the 14th to the 28th of September this year, I understood that these ten days can be used in a 2 month period, not necessarily day to day. Is that correct? Also, I’ve read on some of the topics in this big community that seat reservations are better to book on the train’s company website rather than the eurail website. Is that correct as well? (Please don’t give me names yet of the companies because i’m really a mega rookie on this train set reservations, that will be asked on a different topic (bear with me please)The train routes and dates that i’ll love to book without missing any of them are (all of the for 6 adults and a 2 year old baby - if you can tell me if my baby pays for a seat if so how much and in wich trains on the list below)Train from Milano to Rome, on September 15th, around 6:30 am local time - one way t

I bought regular passes in the Rail Europe Website. Due Covid Pandemic I could not travel and, after almost two years changing e-mails about our passes Rail Europe sent me by e-mail COVID REPLACEMENT passes numbers, issued by Eurail. Our passes were not activated and got now 11 months. Rail Europe just say now that these COVID REPLACEMENT pases are non-refundable and non- exchangable, and I saw the information in this Eurail Community website that  Passes without an activation date will automatically have an additional 12 months added to the original 11 months overall validity and taht I do not need to do anything else and may activate my Pass up to 12 months after the "Must be activated before" date on your Pass at a train station in Europe.  BUT Rail Europe says I just canno use the passes !! Can someone help me please !

Hi, I’m trying to work out if I would be able to reserve two seats on the 24th of July, London to Paris. Any times.I don’t seem to be able to check this until I’ve actually bought the global pass. Is this correct? When I look directly with Eurostar, there are seats available, but I understand that not all of these will have been allocated for pass holders. Feels like a bit of a trick.Realise I’m last minute so maybe it’s just not an option for me.if anyone has any advice I’d be so grateful. The rest of my trip is flexible, it’s just the 24th I can’t move! thnksJo

Hello!  I am aware that with a 2nd class interrail pass you can travel from the Rome airport to Rome Tirbutina station, but you can’t travel to Rome Termini. However, my question was if you can travel between Rome Tirbutina and Rome Termini with a 2nd class interrail pass? So can I travel from the airport to Tirbutina and then  from Tirbutina to Termini all with my interrail pass?   thanks for your help!!!

HiI’ve just come off the ‘phone with Renfe Sales, expecting to be able to reserve a seat on an AVE (Seville - Barcelona) in a little over 50 hours (4pm on the 12th July). The lady on the call said that I could reserve a seat but that:1. It had to be collected and paid for at a Spanish main station by 4pm tomorrow, ie a full 24 hrs before departure. 2. It would only be held until then and that I couldn’t reserve, pay and collect on the day of departure (which would be well within a 48-hour window).I’m in Vilamoura, Portugal and won’t arrive in Seville until 10pm tomorrow. I’d expected to be able to walk into the station at 9am on the 12th and pay & collect. On here (and other sites), I’m seeing advice that says you have up to 48 hours to pay and collect, but that you can’t reserve within 24 hours of departure (and I’ve seen advice that says you can).I’m utterly lost 🤷‍♂️Can one (or more) of you kind individuals who have unlocked this process help me understand the situation here, an

Hello Fellow Travellers, I am intending to travel from Milan Centrale to Spiez Station, I will be having a EU Rail Pass and Swiss Travel Pass. My question is that if I take a one country pass for Italy is it possible that I use that pass till Domodossola and for the journey further can I use the Swiss Travel Pass.Loving this community already. Thanks

My husband and I are traveling for 130 days around Europe, we plan on carrying a backpack each, and 40lb rolling luggage. Are there any restrictions? First leg London-Paris. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Happy Travels!

hi. If I have to change a train in between the travel day because of delay, do I have to put the new one in my pass and delete the old? Thx in advance.

I'm looking to go by train to Italy from Germany and it says “supplement required”. Is this included in the price when I book a seat reservation at OBB or DB? Or do I need to pay the supplement even when i have a seat reservation from OBB or DB?

If i take 4 days in 1 month option can I do some days in july and some others in august as long as there is not one month of difference between the first and last day or do they mandatorily have to be in august?

Hi. We want to travel by train from Salzburg to Vienna in August. Instead of a straight route between the two I would like to travel in the Scenic Semmering Route. I have 2 questions.1. Should we travel from Salzburg to Graz and then up to Vienna, or do we skip Graz and travel from Salzburg to Bruck/Mur then Wiener Neustadt the Vienna?2. We have a Global Eurail pass. On the app, if I select either of these routes will it take us on this scenic route or is there another specific route or train we should book. This would be a one day trip - leaving Salzburg in the morning and ending in Vienna late afternoon or early evening.

I’m travelling from Haute-Savoie to Barcelona. TGV for part of the leg, already reserved seats. I’m getting conflicting advice about booking the TER though - do I need to reserve a ticket or not? I know that booking seats is not necessary.

Hi there. We are Swedish citizens and live in Germany. When we bought our passes I put in Germany as country of residence. Our trip starts in Berlin, then down to France and we’re supposed to end in Sweden (traveling through Germany). Is this possible?

I’ve been trying to make reservations for travel from Paris to Caen on Oct. 7, 2023 for days. I just keep getting error messages. What good is a Eurail pass if it’s impossible to make reservations. I want to make reservations from St. Lazare to Caen on Oct. 7 leaving at 11:00 arriving Caen at 13:00.I’m very frustrated with your reservation.

Planning to buy 1st or 2nd class Eurail pass for family trip (including 1 child who has special needs). Arriving July 20, 14:00 at Milan.  We want to go to Lucerne (or Zurich) for 2 days, and then to Munich on July 22. Trying to figure out a scenic, but not overly time-consuming route to avoid child’s or parent’s meltdown. I know it could be extremely hot, and most Swiss hotels there don’t have a/c, so the happier we arrive in Lucerne, the better (hopefully). Does this seem like the best route:MXP to Milan Central to Lugano (stay overnight in Lugano or go directly to Lucerne?)Lugano to Lucerne (regional train instead of Gotthard Panoramic, but find a train on the Old Gotthard track). Having a hard time on the Swiss rail site because it keeps giving errors and unsure how to book a good boat to get to Lucerne and still have time to go to one of the mountain tops like Pilatus or Rigi.

I am wanting to book seat reservations for a direct train from Berlin to Warsaw.  Have checked several sites and am not sure I can do this as cross border. Can I book this on Eurail or do I need to use another site and book 2 different seat reservations ie one for each country.Sorry all a little confusing, hoping someone can help me...TIA

Hi everyone !My friend and I are trying to reserve a train sleepers in Germany. We have seen that we are supposed to go on the deustche banh website according to the steps provided in this link: Frais des trains de nuit en Europe | Interrail.eu. However, we didn’t managed to do so. Anyone know how to book train sleepers? Thank you so much for your help ! Olivia

Are we allowed to use TERs that are showing as Complete on the SNCF app? There are a few screenshots of this on twitter eg journeys like Lyon - Genève (entirely on TER)

I would like to take a train from Edinburgh to London and under "reserve seats" on the Interrail website it says that the seat must be reserved for €6 but must be reserved from an external site. If I go to the LNER or GWR website, I can reserve a seat for free, but not on ACP Rail. What is the right option to securely reserve the seat?

I am trying to book the train from Stockholm to Narvik which leaves around 18:10 pm. we are 4 passengers and would like to book the own second class compartment. However we are getting assigned 1 compartment for the 4 passengers when the second class has only 3 beds ? How to book to compartments instead? If we book first for 2 people and then again for another 2 , how can we be sure to be assigned compartments near to each other ?

Hello everyone, I am soon gonna be starting my journey, but I have a question about the different time zones. As you can see, I will be starting in Brussels. The second train departures at 12:03 which would be too early for me. But there is the different time zone in the UK so is 11:57 the local time?I am sorry if my questions sounds a bit dump, but I am still exploring the Interrail app and I did not find anything about it on the Internet. Thanks in advance!Anna

PLEASE HELP….. I have a Eurail pass for everyone in our travel party, and want to book / reserve seats for the Monterosso - Tirano trip on the 1st July.  Most sites keep telling me I cannot use my Eurail Pass but need to purchase tickets. Does anyone know whether I need to do this or whether I can somehow reserve seats with my pass? When I go into seat reservations on the Eurail website, it only offers me trips that take 24hours or more, whereas Italia Rail and Trenatalia etc all let me book a great journey (around six hours), but say I need to buy the tickets and in fact say that a pass cannot be used for that trip.I don’t want to miss out on seats, and so will buy tickets now if I need to - but am keen to know if there is some way I can do this and use our passes.Thank you!

I am trying to make reservations for the pass I just bought. I’m noticing that there’s no direct trains from central Paris (Montparnasse) to central London (Waterloo or close to London Bridge). Will I need to book from Paris Du Nord (default) to London St Pancras (default) instead of the ones I mentioned above and from St Pancras to Brussels Midi instead of Brussels Central and then get a taxi? When I pick the station I actually want, it increases travel time by a lot more than a few minutes it would take to travel between those stations. Not sure what the best option is. thank you.
